it is a fact that northern nigeria has FAR LESS crime than the south in general. we have religious conflicts that lead to the death of many however, in terms of regular crimes, we have less.
there is no doubt that southerners are more educated and in general have less poverty. In my state i cant name a single person who has ever experienced armed robbery, we sleep with our doors open. I would never have dreamt of that in lagos. almost everyone i know has been attacked at some point. x

Hell my parents along with my uncle and his family tried to live in the North when my mother was preganant with my brother, the stories they tell is different from what you say. Don't even act like the north is the safest region in Nigeria? Abeg, most problems and killing done in Nigeria is in the North. Both North and South has problems. Abuja is safe because the government lives there, i bet you if they didn't live there. Abuja won't be safe.

it is a fact that northern nigeria has FAR LESS crime than the south in general. we have religious conflicts that lead to the death of many however, in terms of regular crimes, we have less.
there is no doubt that southerners are more educated and in general have less poverty. In my state i cant name a single person who has ever experienced armed robbery, we sleep with our doors open. I would never have dreamt of that in lagos. almost everyone i know has been attacked at some point. x

Crime is crime boy. I highly doubt a southern living in the north will say the same thing. Most of the South living and working in the North complain about being scared for their life. Hell my parents along with my uncle and his family tried to live in the North when my mother was preganant with my brother, the stories they tell is different from what you say. My cousin mother was almost burned in that area. So abeg, crime is crime. Don't try and sugarcoat anything. It may safe for northerners but it's not for southerners, the same way the south is safe for some south but not for north.

I've lived in lagos and i've never been attacked in lagos so don't generalize. Lagos is a crime infeseted city just like new york and london are crime infested city. . Yeah Lagos is not a safe city, the same way abuja is not a safe city but i don't consider abuja as a northern city but middle belt.

Great wonderful video on Nigeria! I am perplexed though that it was shot by a westerner!, and it was not focussed ONLY at Ajegunle or some other negative eye sore.

Expertriates are usually very well taken care of, in Nigeria. They get the "choiciest cut of meat", so to speak. They're immune from all the horrors, native born Nigerians, have to contend with. Anything from police brutality to lack of every day neccessities...water, electricity etc etc

Twas fun being in Nigeria isn't it? was that Lagos or Abuja? Nigerians Are friendly,welcoming and Real when you come in contact with them you get to the kind of people they are. But foreign people always like to paint them bad....(did i say them? Sorry us I am a 9gerian.)
