@ChumpJoe I remove hiss, sometimes add some compression and eq... simple stuff. Sometimes I edit the transitions a bit... on my old stuff (my myspace profile) I did a few more things with Audition. ... basically I tried to make the most out of non-optimal recordings. :p
This was intended to have a Sepultura/Queens of the Stone Age feel. Or actually, I guess if you listen to the two other tracks I've published this year that are up on my Youtube account, you'll see that I am kinda getting a consistent individual style going.
Hah, come to think of it, re: Nirvana, I do see a couple short moments that do have that feel. The chorus riff is set up just a bit like Beeswax. And some of it feels a tiny bit Melvins-ish, which is pretty much the father of Nirvana.

I love the hiss. I got Audition. I use it to master them. Finally got the mkIII.
