Have just tried Northwoods, and surprisingly it is a good smoke, and a nice smell as well. Love the Raspberry Cream from Boswell....... which may be my favorite. Great videos, thanks for helping new pipe smokers like myself.

I got some the other day and shared it with my neighbor and we both agree that it's a great tobacco, I like it because it's not a really strong english and finishes off smooth....i will be buying more in the near future.

i started with cheap tobacco only because its so hard to get where i live. had captain black gold and the white pack. both were pretty good but i guess it gets better since everyone says captain black is crap.

Hi, I have had the opportunity to try Boswell's Northwoods tobacco for the last week or so and wow has it become my favorite blend. I just love the amount of Latakia in it and how it provides a very cool relaxing smoke. I will have to give Billy Budd a try soon, but I feel it will be tough to get away from Northwoods.

I just finished smoking a bowl of Nightcap which I found on eBay. I have been reeling from the vitamin N hit for over two hours! Strongest tobacco I've ever had. I ordered some Northwoods last week from Boswell's, should arrive tomorrow. I'll post a review on tobaccoreviews once I try it. I have been a cig smoker for 3 years and I am new to pipe tobacco. Yesterday I bought a $12 Changfeng pipe and some Captain Black tobacco (white bag and it smells like chocolate). I like it. But what other good pipe tobacco brands are there? Just recommend me some good tobacco to try out. Thanks

I hate the taste of cigarettes. The only one I liked was Camel crush because of the mint taste, but those burn my throat. Anyway, pipe tobacco taste better.

@Mider999 pipe tobacco can be weaker and more flavorfull. cigars are usually strong, at least the ones i have had. cigs are in a diff category. since most smoke to get that high like feeling, you dont really smoke it for the taste. if you enjoy slowly smoking a cig, i can say that its more of a coffee flavor and pipes and cigars are more like a wide variety of tea. thats all IMO

I concur with your great review of Northwoods. I enjoy Billy Budd myself, which is actually by Cornell & Diehl rather than GP. Billy Budd is America's answer to Dunhill's Nightcap which I sorely miss! Keep 'em coming bro!

Thanks for the recomendation...Northwoods WAS a nice surpirze. At the end of this clip you mention you like it better than the true English blends...have you tried the other English Belnds from Boswell's or were u refering to English blends in general. If you have tried them, how are boswell's other English blends? Northwoods is tempting me to the darkside...lol.

I can't quite remember which ones I have tried, but sort of my all time favorites are Westminster by GL Pease, Northwoods by Boswell and Billy Bud by GL Pease

Thank you for sharing your experience. I just discovered Boswell pipes and tobaccos. (haven't tried either yet) They get rave reviews on their tobaccos and I am keen to try some. I have a question for you. I know many pipe smokers will not smoke airomatics in a pipe they smoke english in, but can I smoke english in a pipe I use airomatics for without ruining the pipe for airomatics? Thank you for your great videos!

Depends on whether you are a pipe purist or not. I don't mind "cross contamination" and when I buy an estate pipe I enjoy the "smell/taste history" of the estate pipe
