  • And he was either drunk or high during these times, too. Once a suffering soul, now a good guy :o)

  • my favorite player of all time, i was there when Theo did that OT goal against Ilves (pussies) and did that fantastic celebration after he scored, my best hockey moment. I remember when i was watching the first practice when theo came to Tampere, what a pro, he gave 110% on every practice even though he had a hangover. True professional, Little big Man, Theo pikku jättiläinen. Regards from Finland.

  • He didn't respect the opponent. Shameful.

  • Fleury knows how to celebrate, he did the same in Finland watch?v=rhFBYZrNM0Y

  • rip headphones

  • Who won the series?

  • Unfortunately,Esa Tikkanen's OT winner in Game 7 two nights later overshadows this great moment.

  • Don't think ol' Fleury was celebrating like that after Game 7

  • I scored in OT before and I did the same celebration!! GO THEO!

  • NHL 1995 to present doesn't measure up. Sorry it just doesn't.

This clip right here is classic NHL. When goalies wore equipment that conformed to their bodies and stars were aloud to shine and score goals.

  • I can't believe this was left off the History vs. History bracket that the NHL's doing.

I mean there are a lot of great playoff moments on there, but some of them don't even compare to this goal celebration.

I'm not saying it should win, but it should at least be in the top 64.

  • @RyanB35 Stunning, isn't it? I'm sure there was a thinktank and all that for the 64, but if you asked me objectively, this would be one of the first ten or 12 I named.

  • Best goal celebration of all time!

  • I can't believe this arena is still in use

  • Theo has been threw hell and back. One of the greatest of all time and my favourite player!

  • he is one awesome human.............to overcome all that bullshit.....even his hieght.....man! i respect him as a human

  • too bad the team still lost and oilers moved on.

  • It was good to see him back on the ice as a flame one last time at the winter classics

  • i hate the flames but that is a sick celebration

  • fuck oilers

  • best goal! check his book! theo is the man...

  • Best Celebration!

  • God I miss that guy

  • Great stuff. I have the box sets of the 10 greatest Oilers and the 10 greatest Flames dvd sets. My 2 favorite teams. This was a pretty cool moment.

  • And yap all you want about our past, at least we HAVE a past. It's ironic that Flames fans constantly bring it up because how would they remember anything about the NHL before 2004 when they jumped on the bandwagon in the playoffs? I remember Calgary when it wasn't "cool" to be a Flames fan and when the Oilers played in Calgary 80% of the crowd were cheering for them. And we STILL take over the Saddledome and outcheer the home crowd, so suck on THAT, bitch.

  • @DieFlames dats cuz yall was chompin on gretzkys nutsack niggah

  • @DieFlames Hater gona hate on a flames video. Lol if your going to hate, go to one of your hometeam videos and bitch there. And P.S. atleast calgary didint lose 13 games in a ROW.

  • @DieFlames besides the fact that this isn't the forum to talk trash, your team is in LAST place in the ENTIRE LEAGUE...and you think you can come in here and talk shit about the flames?? the same team who is currently tearing it up! L10 = 7-1-2!! ...get out of here you douche no time for your stupid ass.

  • @mikegkeating Bye bye Mulletgary!

Have fun getting the worst draft pick of the non-playoff teams. Hopefully the flamers little run has convinced Mulletgarians that everything's rosy and all that's needed is a few minor tweaks. Looking forward to years of the flames finishing 9-10th in the west. Not so yappy now are you? Bitch.

  • @DieFlames haha, you doucher....it only took you a whole month to think of that zinger! have you been stewing about these youtube comments ever since and then thought....this will show them, this will show them good! get out of here...oilers still blow, this is your record 12-21-6, now piss off you little shit.

  • This typifies Mulletgarys little "moral victorys" they brag about, even though the Oilers won the series. Inferiority complex much?

  • ...for years to come (like trading Dion Phaneuf for Toronto's spare parts and signing Bouwmeester to a 6.680 cap hit until 2014), traded their 2010 1st round pick in a year when they missed the playoffs, and watched Brandon Gormley fall to 13 where the Coyotes were ecstatic to draft him.

The Oilers may have finished 30th last year but they are hardly an embarrassment. Missing the playoffs or losing in the first round all but once in the last 20+ years is an embarrassment.

  • I wouldn't talk about the playoffs, looks like the Flames won 't be making them for awhile either. At least the Oilers bit the bullet and rebuilt - the Flames will be spinning their wheels in mediocrity for years to come. Textbook example of a 9th-10th place team.

You guys have NO prospects (the Oilers already have Hall, Eberle, and Paajarvi and this year will get either Larsson or Couturier), Iginla has CLEARLY lost a step, Sutter has made questionable moves that will cripple the Flames...

  • one of my favorite hockey moments

  • Who won the series?

  • @DieFlames How many Oilers fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Five, 1 to screw it in and 4 to talk about how bright the old bulb was. hahahaha suck on that!!

You talk about no future??? Your pathetic oilers won't make the playoffs for the next 10 years. You were the laughing stock of the entire league last year!! How did that feel, wise guy?? ya thats what I thought. Now shhaaaddddup!!!

  • @DieFlames Exactly lol!! Edmonton won Game 7 in Calgary in OT (by Esa Tikkanen) and went to the Campbell Conference finals (and did it again the following post-season!)

  • Gotta love the celebration! Go Flames Go!!!

  • man the oilers rock why because we are the best hockey team(but we did not have the rocket Richard!) but we rock

  • @kakashiitachi100 edmonton is the superstore of hockey. All no name players. except yes now they have hall and eberle they are a power house.. to bad hall is from calgary and eberle graduated here.

  • @polack111 LOL coming from a fucking Lames fan of all people. "Superstore of hockey"...look at your own sad sack team. Aging core/no prospects/no future, looks like the Scotiabank Mulletdome will have a C of Green Seats soon.

BTW Iginla is from Edmonton and who gives a flying fuck where Eberle graduated? That's a strike against him since Edmonton has better schools (UofA kicks the shit out of UofC)

  • he's so amazing :D baha

  • Tiny Winy Fleury celebration didn't last very long, lol they loss next game which is game 7.

  • omg, dumbass is you

I know Fleury is from Canada. I mean respect him from Russia

  • Theo was a wonderful player, one of the best, respect from Russia...

  • He is from Canada dumbass

  • @cmakos14 Please don't mention the word Canada if you are a dumbass American. The less you know about Canada, the better. We don't need Americans visiting here. Keep up your general ignorance about Canada and the rest of the world and keep watching reality shows and your angry fearful news programs. Shhh

  • @swassontelus the only thing i mentioned about canada is that fleury is from there so don't get your panties in a bunch

  • @cmakos14 I'm just bustin' balls (to coin a Boston/New York term). Thanks for the reminder (to get my panties out of my ass hole lips). Cheers and Peace.

  • Флери забил этот гол с растяжением второй степени внутренней боковой связки.

  • scores and then he was molested multiply times by men as he was accustom to

  • Flames Win the Cup in 1989,Oilers Win in 1990(sans Gretzky).

1991 Oilers v Flames in Playoffs, one of the last Great Battle of Alberta Series'

This is Game 6, 1991 Playoffs. Messier (playing badly injured) gives it away and Fleury scores & celebrates (video) in Edmonton.

Game 7 in Calgary,Flames have momentum.Flames take 3-0 lead. Game over? Tikkanen scores to make it 3-1, then 3-2, 3-3. Tikkanen completes comeback to make it 4-3 and wins the series for the Oilers in OT.

    Great Series!

  • wasnt fleury raped by the pope of england?

  • Just saw the hawks win in OT. Hossa's celebration reminded me of this celebration.

  • Putting your head under the sand is a great safe place to live. Fleury is guilty by allowing a pedophile coach the Hitmen.

  • @swassontelus have you been raped. the guy was scared.

  • @FingerGunProductions I do have a heart and can appreciate that Fleury must have been under intense pressure and holding incredible confusion and guilt during his youth. But....as an adult? I watched about 20 minutes of tonights W5 show with him and his admission to drugs, gambling, women, booze and etc.... But, come on...doesn't he remind you of a few goofball buddies you have had in your life. Maybe you are too young to realize it yet, but some folks are just born assholes.

  • @swassontelus There is a saying...."Assholes never die". It means that everyone is so great and amazing and all the bad things in their past are somehow magically erased if they score goals in Canada or live to be 88 years old and then leave the planet. The biggest fans of Fleury are assheads living in Calgary that work in the oil business. They likely don't believe in Michael Jackson so they pick another freak to entertain them.

  • theo you awesome

  • This is one of my all time favorite Stanley Cup playoff goals EVER! I remember watching that live back in the day and going nuts! And I'm not even a Flames fan. :p

  • omg yess!!! I wish i would`ve been alive to seen some of the worlds greatest, messier, gretzky...god! So sick!

  • @jmpvfb007 You are alive to see Crosby. He is better than Gretzky. At least Crosby plays the whole game. Gretzky only played 25% of the game. Yes, he got a lot of points and had mad skills, but be happy you got Crosby. I am not even a Crosby fan, but appreciate his skills. Peace.

  • @swassontelus Cindy Crosby is a little bitch and complains WAY TOO MUCH!! I cant appreciate his skills until he stops crying to refs like a little baby

  • @swassontelus he is not better then gretzky he would have 2 oplay 28 more seasons score over a 100 points each time 2 catch gretzkys assists soo lets not talk about tht

  • @Tye606 Gretzky is a great point getter, but it doesn't make him a complete player. Todays top scorers are more complete hockey players. They are grinders, fighters, hitters, back checkers. Gretzky probably never even blocked a shot. Yes, Gretzky achieved incredible points, but I'd bet his +/- would make you realize he is not a complete player. I am not a Gretzky hater as he elevated the game, the skills and was a great representative of Canada until he got depressed for some reason.

  • Love!

  • Hawks fan, Fleury fan---great video, thanks!!

  • This is the best celebration in hockey history. Period.

I'm an Oiler fan too. FML

  • :'(

  • Daang o.o i thought there would be a C of Red

Re: Game 6, Calgary Flames at Edmonton Oilers (04/24/91) by libbyestabrook47

  • I'm a Sharks fan, and we hated him in San Jose. But man, I respect the guys skill and work ethic, and how hard he fought to make it to the NHL.

  • Stand up guy he is. I have a lot of respect for him.

  • As a Canucks fan I've never respected a Flames player like Fleury and probably won't for a long time. Hell of a life, hell of a player, hell of a guy

  • Comment removed

  • @robdmhaze

    Love the rivalry ;)

  • Best Goal Celebration Ever!

  • Poor Theo. He's still got the little man complex.

  • Vancouver suk!!!

    Linden lol

  • The Flames made a huge mistake not signing Fleury. He was the sparkplug for that team and his expertise would have been indispensable. Let's hope the organization has the sense to retire his jersey and give him the closing ceremony he so deserves.

    Theo, you are AWESOME.

  • Ummm, I'm pretty sure he didn't want to play another season - I think he just played preseason so he could end his career wearing a Flames uniform, and also to plug his autobiography. That shootout goal he got in preseason was... SWEET! and nobody can deny that...this, coming from a longtime Oilers fan.

This was also the 2nd last game these two have faced eachother in the post season (miss those days) the last game isn't on youtube, but it is on DVD in it's entirety.

  • @RedPaladin ... your wrong, he was pissed they cut him, he posted a thing on his website blasting the flames but then took it down, why would he not want to play another season?

  • Fleury doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks about him and isn't going to shy away from any topic including his fucked up past. stand up guy. Good guy.

  • @hockyjocky4 lol So you read his book, then came here to talk about his past no matter how off topic it is?

  • @hockyjocky4 and a hell of a hockey player

  • Ime pissed he got released, it would have been nice to at least see him in a couple regular season games

  • yaeh

  • bring us another cup theo!!

  • @ongosk youre a retard how is he going to bring you another cup, what is he going to do steal it from pat kane?

  • it would be a dream come true to see him do that again.

  • i win this video i am the winrar.

  • I wish i could give 10 stars

  • hes back

  • that was the definition of being struck silly with glory

  • My favorite hockey player. Good to see Theo healthy and playing again!

  • Saw his shootout winner tonight too sick!

  • Comment removed

  • He's a legend its amazing he even got clean and back in shape. He's the greatest flame to ever play I think he deserves the try out. Obviously he won't be the Theo of old but it will be great to see him play anyway.

  • Sutter lets go of Bert ''saying there is No place for him on the team and Try's out Fleury ?!?!? Fans get ticked on certain sights lol :) Cause were wanting older players okayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • to bad roberto luongo wns theo Mc'felury cause hes old and fat like an orio

  • umm i think you have to be retarded considering fleury just past the calgary flames fitness test, i would reall like to see you at 41 i doubt you could even bend down to tie up your skates you worthless sack of shit.

  • shutup u donut your just a fatty u butter ball. lick my 12" dick u mofa

  • donut? really good man i was expecting as much from a canuks fan, and i won't lick your dick but im sure the sedin sisters would be happy to, just walk into their hotel room when their on the road and im sure you would enjoy what u see fagot.

  • dick weed

  • lol Canucks fan? You're just making yourself and all Canucks fan look worse with the statement.

  • lol id like to see you play in the nhl to bad it would never happen

  • Theo is in the starting lineup for the Calgary Flames vs The New York Islanders tonight...never say never

  • and he just won the game for calgary people say hes lost his touch no fucking way he undressed the goalie, theo is the fucking man!!!

  • Theo's back! H*** yeah!

  • Er no I don't think so. He got up and did something about it, much more respectable than some troll who thinks the world evolves around 7-Luongo and the whole Canucks organization.

  • what are you 5 fkn years old you fucking idiot

  • Back with Calgary For for a try out.Thats where he belongs.I miss him playing against my Kings lol

  • i want you back in calgary!

  • comeback @ age 41 WOW!

  • i hope he comes back

  • What are yout thoughts on Theo Fleury wanting to come back to the NHL? Post your thoughts on NHLDebates video on Theo Fleury

  • Theo has stated he wants to make a comeback to the NHL at 41! Who is willing to invite him to training camp though considering he hasn't played since 02-03, but still... it's Theo Fluery!

  • apparently...good luck to him, hope he's matured from before, he did have hockey in him, let's see what happens...Go TF!

  • Beautiful

  • Who won the series?

  • Edmonton

  • This is CLASSSSSSSSSSSIC. We use to imitate his celebration wayyyy back when we were kids. Good vid

  • Loved Theo awsome player 2 bad he liked to take coke more then hockey

  • Even though the Flames aren't my fav team... I love this celebration by theo

  • I don't. notice he is skating away from his team mates, and not to his team mates. I think hockey is still, team sport.

  • lol your a dumbass

  • explain why I am a dumb ass. Was I wrong to write that hockey is a team sport? By calling me a dumb ass, you are only making yourself look bad. PS you spelled dumb ass wrong. It is not a compound word. In other dumb, and ass do not go together.

  • actually you are wrong...it has evolved into one word and is recognized by many as such. it is not just an adjective and a noun...the word dumbass is a noun. get with the times idiot. you only made yourself look like a douchebag. (let me guess. you will take that literally)

  • did they won stanley cup there?

  • No they just won Game 6 to tie the series as they were trying to rally from a 3-1 series deficit. The Flames would go on to lose Game 7 in OT.

  • I was at this game when I was a kid. Top 3 best flames goals scored of all time.

  • I agree with the point made about excessive showboating, but this was the playoffs - a monumental goal, on a hated rival's ice? That's hockey, baby.

  • The CBC should have put Don Cherry out to pasture years ago. The guy wrote the book of unwritten rules in hockey. If Cherry had it his way, the only guys who would celebrate after a goal would be good Canadian kids...preferably from Kingston, Ontario. Goal celebrations are great. Some guys do them with more flourish than others and it's no big deal.

  • and Cobourg kids

  • So the guy likes Canadians. So what? He is a Canadian, working for Canadian television. Apparently, the Canadians like him, since he is always surrounded by them, in public. The guy is old school hockey. If you don't like him, then you love what the NHL is becoming. The NBA on ice.

  • I don't know why other people swear on other teams, cheer up! its just a game!

  • I agree 100%.

  • As an Oilers fan I hated this (this was the year I got into hockey) but its awesome its own right. I met Theo at a Wal Mart about 5 years ago, pretty cool guy.

  • aw man lighten up.. sometimes it's all about watching men behave like children because they LOVE the game... just like you did

  • .... in other words,... when you hot-dog across the ice like that it pisses off the other team. Edmonton was really pissed with Theo. So mad were they, that they wanted to ensure Calgary loses in Calgary. And they went down to Calgary and won Game 7. Niuewy and Roberts knew this, thats why they tried to stop him. And thats why Cherry hates show-boats like Ovechkin. You take your goal and skate away. Like Iginla !!

  • Cherry does not hate show-boats. he said quote unquote that if its a tying goal or gw goal he understands it. if its a 3rd or 4th then it gets out of hand. and he hates Ovechkin b.c he is European. Crosby has done it be4 and he could care less b.c he isnt European. He isnt the biggest European fan. but yes Iginla is 1 of the perfect players. fights scores and leads. only downfall is that he wears a visor and fights... kind of a bitch thing but o well he is stil sweet... Go Wings! lol

  • wants to look fresh for the ladies

  • I don't see being able to fight, in hockey, as a "downfall!" It has been a part of NHL hockey, since its inception. It may not be part of European hockey, and that is fine. Just don't make NHL/North American hockey as antiseptic as Euro hockey.

  • i think he ment it as wears a vosor while he fights. idk lol

  • After re-reading his comments, I agree.

  • Cherry, on Coachs Corner, had Roberts and Craig Simpson talking about this infamous slide. You can watch Coachs Corner on youtube here. Look up Coachs Corner for March 14. Roberts says it in lighter terms, but they were pretty sore with him after 2nd slide back in Calgary in Game 7.

  • God, listen to how young Cuthbert was.

  • that is one of the best celebrations i have ever seen probably THE BEST man he is fast you must be scared as a defensemen when you see him skating at you at fricken 300mph

  • THEO FLEURY was one of the top 10 in the NHL from 89-97 or so, maybe even top 5-7, he was very dominating. Cant wait to get his McFarlane figure in a few months, i hope its thiscelebration pose

  • I love the celebration by Theo.

  • Roberts and Niuewy were pissed at Theo for weeks for doing that. In fact their relationship soured since then.

  • i don't believe!

  • Then why was Nieuwendyk the first to congratulate him after the goal?

  • for celebrating?

  • I wouldn't be surprised if they did have a strained relationship, but I can guarantee you this celebration wasn't the reason.

  • must of been quite a few Flames fans in the building, too bad we blew game 7

  • NOW THATS WHAT I CALL END TO END

  • one of the best goal celebrations

  • Fleury drunk = twice the man of Iginla!

Fleury was the best FLame EVER!!!!!!!!

  • MOST HEART at of any player!!!!!!!

fuck you its the truth !

  • agreed. theo had more heart than any of these pussy's in the league now.

  • who cares we still won the series and went to the conf final bitches!

  • Game 7 ot in this series was even better!

  • You've never heard of Ovechkin?

  • they dont make players an crazy celebrations like that anymore. Only theo fleury one of the bests of all time to ever play hockey

  • i love the call. is that chris cuthbert

  • Yep! Too bad CBC dropped him during the lockout. Oh well, TSN's gain.

  • craziest celebration ever!!

  • I wanna do that one day! lol

  • They're gonna need some more of that game 6 magic on Sunday... C'mon boys!!

  • i fucking hate the flames. always have always will but fleury was amazing.

  • fuck you!

  • This guy had more heart then any player I have ever watched, Messier would be up there too. But what gave me chills was when gretzky added him to team Canada with all that shit going on in Fleurys life, and Theo literally was their best player hands down and was one of the big reasons they won gold. I think he did it just to say F@$@ everyone doubting me I got one more run left and Im gonna show to my teamates and my country no matter what odds are stacked against me I will make a difference.

  • he was my hero when i was a kid. he is the best flames player ever, except iggy will take that title soon
