  • The relationship between sovereign states is already anarchic, all anarchy is doing is reducing the scale and eliminating the coercion.

  • You can be a citizen of a corporation, it's all by agreement...

  • @wind0wninja I'll be a citizen of myself.

  • @Killedkennyagain Which is suppose to mean what exactly?

  • @wind0wninja True self-governance and self-ownership.

  • @Killedkennyagain Okay well men learned long ago that no man is an island unto himself, that for lasting peace and prosperity men of good will and like mind must band together, unite, and organize to conserve it's existence. And, to assume among the powers of the earth a separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and natures creator entitle. Not sit around chanting "live free or die", cuz that ain't gonna cut it. If you want to self govern, you must govern. You cannot be represented.

  • @wind0wninja That makes absolutely no sense.

  • @Killedkennyagain If that doesn't make sense to you then you're not fit for self governance.

  • @wind0wninja Or, you were just not as clear as you think. I could break it down for you and explain why each sentence is incoherent (ignoring spelling and grammatical errors), but I cannot do it in 500 words.

  • @Killedkennyagain Fine, point by point... No man is an island. What don't you understand about that? Can you thrive here on planet earth without the help of others yes or no? Historically man kind has always joined with others in order to meet the laws of necessity. They formed societies to conserve their existence. Can you show me a successful existence which did or has not adhered to the principle? To anyone who understands the principle, "No man is an island" is all I should have to say.

  • @Killedkennyagain "to assume among the powers of the earth a separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and natures creator entitle." These immoral words have been enshrined in both the US Declaration of Independence and the UN charter. So if you're not self governing, it's obvious you're not self governing otherwise you would possess a 'separate and equal station'. You would not be E Pluribus Unum. You would not be subject to the provisions laid out by an external government.

  • @Killedkennyagain You cannot be represented... Representation is a fallacy if you need representation you're the one telling the universe at large that you are unfit to present yourself. It doesn't matter if you hire an attorney or vote for a representative. The represented are all deemed wards of the court/state meaning you're a child having no rights or a person of unsound mind. Which one are you?

Who would not be competent to administer their own affairs? Only the incompetent.

  • @Killedkennyagain A citizen is a subject meaning one who is subject to another. So for you to say, "I'll be a citizen of myself" is incoherent as any thought gets and to say you're into "true self governance and self ownership" when you don't even understand the most basic maxims of self governance... Let me put it this way... If what you are doing is contradictory to what you are saying?; Can anyone else be expected to hear what you are saying over the top of what you are doing?

  • @Killedkennyagain So far none of these 'liberty groups' running around out here talking about freedom, get it. Because if they did, they'd be doing it. People just seem to want to bitch and complain about what 'should' be. Well I don't have time for what 'should' be. I only have time for what is 'self evident'. As in, "We hold these truths to be self evident..." What is self evident is all that matters as far as self governance goes. So how much responsibility are you willing to accept?

  • This is similar to my "autonomous city state" idea. Basically the city state would be comprised of individuals that buy ownership in the society in exchange for services and a voice in how the society is ran. ***Sigh*** I wish the economy didn't suck so bad so I could find a stable job in NH and afford to move out there. It sucks not having people to bounce ideas off of. :/

  • "Rival government forming."

I never knew "rival" was a synonym of "fantasy."

  • What a load of crap! Majority rule is one of problems that got us where we are today. Thank Andrew Jackson and his friends are the Freemasons/Shriners lodge for pushing democracy (majority rule) over the Constitutional Republic.

  • You can't seriously believe that the "majority" rules?

Majority rule would actually be a significant improvement over what we currently have; which is essentially a plutocracy or oligarchy.

The people that rule this country are the people who "own" this country. They control the wealth, which has been the case since July 4, 1776 (back then the wealth was much more evenly distributed tho)

The wealthy class that rules is only a tiny proportion of the population, not a majority.

  • I don't see this VG working without some sort of financial support for those kidnapped and stuck in jail... for things like driving a vehicle without a State License..or State Lic. Plates.. Paying taxes to NH... Then fees to the VG... So, once you are all in jail, what happens to the financial support? I don't see 2 competing governments existing side by side... one will eventually war with the other... and only the strong survive. You must beat them at their own game.

  • I didn't realize that NATO defeated the Soviet Union. I was under the impression that the Soviet system imploded under the weight of its own overbearing collectivism. 5 Year Plans anyone?. I hope most of the FreeStaters would be able to dentify the flaws in such a system without giving it too much thought. What we really need is a small-scale practical anarchy. Let the mechanisms evolve and then expand the system. Why set up a system and hope the mechanisms evolve in the right direction?

  • Jail time over fine........ha ha bleed those f**ker's dry!

  • a rival government sounds like a good idea, competition could work wonders in the arena of government.

  • I'd love to put my money where my mouth is, Dave. But someone keeps taking half of it from me.

  • It is interesting that New England has been trying to copy Old England in its government policies; we were supposed to be free, not self-tyrannizing!

  • "churches and charities could provide a landing pad for mainstream society if gvmnt collapses under its own weight."

Right. Cuz that worked out really well during the 1st Great Depression when something like 10 million americans died of starvation.

  • @fczwartek

And do you realize what caused the Great Depression? Look up Peter Schiff & Tom Woods for that answer. Too bad the government we're forced to have is trillions of dollars in debt and still spending.

  • @FlashVirus

The gvmnt has carried bigger debts relative to gdp in the past than the debt it has incurred now.

    .

But in general I would agree that such a huge and growing debt is not a sustainable economic policy.

    .

Which is why we need to end our neo-colonial wars of aggression and empire immediately. Close every single US military base on foreign soil and cut the military budget in half.

    .

On top of that stop giving away $200 billion is corporate welfare every year.

  • @fczwartek

Of course. And after 2010 we'll have several candidates (especially in the Senate) that will support this policy. I think working towards a Libertarian/Minarchist state is an achievable goal. But in the end I think Anarcho-Capitalism will be my ultimate goal.

  • :27 why were you zooming into her tits?

  • Liberate the BooBs!

  • you wish

  • Jawbreaker fan huh? One of my favorite bands too. Sister, Kiss the Bottle, Chemistry are epic. I love that music! Jets to Brazil too.
