  • The fast way to find it on google maps : Copy and paste this and hit enter : 901 County Road 336, Granger, TX 76530, USA

  • nice trip dude

  • I just visited the house a couple hours ago! It was erie indeed.

  • y u go there u stupid there no one there anywhere scary

  • @CODMODDERS1 its just a trip i wanna go there hehehe ^_^ lol

  • they stop the car

    ''what was that noise?'

    what noise?...'

    ....vrrrrraaaauuugh!!!!

  • how fucking fast are they going?there gonna hit a fat ass cow.

  • its not a sale sign, it says: '' private villa & road, enter or you would be get in jail, or worse, rest in peace''

  • Pple get a life its just a fuckn house. And to the idiots who believe that tcm was a true story are retards . No wonder the ppl who own and live in the house dont like gawkers coming on their property .

  • @bonga7080 I think it's based on a true story

  • @assinator2012 Actually, Leatherface isnt real. It's based on a killer known as Edward Gein, who is long gone. Dead. Leatherface is just a killer loosely based on Edward Gein. So if you do get broken down, you should be fine.

  • Dude i had a dream that me, this girl and like 2 other people i didnt know were chained up in a house and me and the girl were the only 2 that got out after like 3 attempts. we were running away from the house and i heard a chainsaw start up and the 2 other people start screaming and you know when ur dreaming u always dream the most brutal scream u can think of when i looked back i saw him standing in the window and the house looked EXACTLY like that house. and the thing is i had never seen

  • texas chainsaw massacre before

  • -.- watchibbg minutes u drive and see that house so smart

  • FUCK THAT

  • The 2 minute buildup was really scary and effective.

  • wow this was 2:14 mins of gravel road and 4 secs of the house...

  • is texas chainsaw real???

  • How to find the house on Google Maps:

First search "Granger TX United States". After that search "co rd 336 tx 524"

  • Comment removed

  • @MonValleyMetro You are correct, the house is was already there when the film crew took over and my parents know the owners. It wasn't built for the movie.

  • Can you pay the owners to take a look around the House and inside? Because I really want to see that House 100%.

  • @Gulli1000 this would be awesome :D !

  • That's a well maintained road ;-)

  • @britcorefan1 thats not bad, you should see the other roads around Granger!! (where the house is) but this one's been dug up and re-paved.

  • According to movies rural areas have the most homicides, and that's why I won't go into areas like that. I know I've never been in towns like that but I'm sure there is truth to hollywoods portrayal, otherwise they wouldn't make movies like this or deliverance.

  • While you guys are driving I feel as if Leather face with pop up with a chainsaw at any moment on the road. Aha

  • The really sad part about the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre " is that what is considered to be based on "true events". In the "real" events there were only two victims and they were shot not hacked with a chainsaw. Just look up Ed Gein. IT HAPPENED IN WISCONSIN Hollywood is exactly like the media it blows up small events into major catastrophes.

  • wait a minute isnt this house suppose to be in Pflugerville, Tx?

  • @xxsakuranbodbskxx - just outside of Round Rock near where the new hwy is

  • @MrZunigafamily "just outside RR?" it's a good 30 minutes away. I live less than a mile from the house.

  • @xxsakuranbodbskxx No, Granger, Texas.

  • is mthis the real house or it was the house for the movie?

  • Comment removed

  • which country is it? it isn't really texas.. is it ?

  • @mani1234567898520 Yes, it's in Granger, Texas. I live about a mile from this house, it's just off of highway 95.

  • i bet he thought " oh this looks like a nice place for a picnic then saw the house and said nope just keep on fuckin drivin" lol

  • tht whould b creepy if u lived in tht house after they filmed the movie

  • @latinheataintbeat911 -- It was then boarded up solely for the safety of anyone disrespectful (and/or stupid) enough to try to get in. As there was no reason to continue any upkeep on the house as it had no purpose other than act as a set for filming, it is extremely likely that the any part of the house could come apart if disturbed, posing a very serious threat to anyone inside the structure.

@manhuntAC @LuckyHonkyTonk -Thanks for being mindful of the family and the law and not screwing around

  • @latinheataintbeat911 -- No, no one has ever lived there. It was built by the studio specifically for filming the movie. They even had the (massive) granite cornerstones for the foundation hauled in by train. So once filming was done they packed up and left. At first it was simply left as is but once the crazies began showing up the "No Trespassing" sign was put up which was followed by a legitimate road-block in the driveway....

  • @southernbelle61 That's not true, the house has been there since before i was born. I live about a mile from the house. In the Will of the owner, She (I will not state her name on here) asked that the house be left the way it is and let it fall down on its own, that no re-modeling or reconstruction be done to the house.

  • What part of Texas is this in?

  • @msvalerie100 Granger

  • @theproject1138 Thanks. Have you ever been?, by the house.

  • @msvalerie100 Yes, I drive by the house pretty frequently because I live about a mile from it.. My parents know the owners. Also, the movies, The 25th Hour, Te Return, When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, And the new True Grit movie that is coming out in theaters soon, all have parts that were filmed about one mile up the road from this house. I live less than a mile from where those movie sets were. In fact, some of the set that was built for True Grit was left in town and is still there.

  • @theproject1138 And if i remember correctly, those movies hired and used the same location scout to pick the filming locations. So there's a good chance that there will be another movie filmed here in town. So when that happens, I'll bring my camera with me next time I go on a set :)

  • This jus tprooves their once was a texas chainsaw massacre.

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 How? The director of the movie wanted to find a random house suitable to the movie. So they went scouring around texas until they found one. And by chance it was this one. I have lived in Granger Tx ( home to the house were the texas chainsaw massacre) and i wil tell you there is no texas chainsaw massacre. Look it up in the national archives its not there cause there was no massacre. It was based off the real killer his name was Ed Gein search him up.

  • @c3po402 Search this up It's the other way around leatherface egsisted ed gein was a navy seal and got fired and wen't to an abondon ware house near a feild of dead bodies and would dig up the bodies and eat them. I'f you ask me thats a big difference and that not all leatherface egsisted. I have a photo of his dead body...

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 Then the photo is fake or doctered. Ed Gein was an old farmer who lived in wissconsin back in the 50's on down he lived with an abusive and sadistic mother who basiclly drove him crazy. She later died and to fill the role in her life he went to local cemetarys and dug up fresh dead bodies and would take the skin and pretend he was a woman. He killed to old ladys and did the same. He was caught in the 1950's and seneted to a mental insution were he later died of cancer.

  • @c3po402 Nope photo is real my grandfather took the pic and he has a video of the funeral

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 There was no funeral for the texas chainsaw massacre!!!!!! Where is it on the news huh? ive never seen it? What gave your grandfather the right to go to the funeral? In the movie they said they never caught him. Now your saying he had a funeral! How old are you 10? Dont believe everything you hear kid.

  • @c3po402 Yeah i know i'm 14 but gives no rights for nothing and it wasn't ON THE NEWSS DUMB ASS it was back in the fucking 80's my grandfather died in 1990 and my father has the texas chainsaw massacres ashes and i have it sitting in my room right know so don't beleive me he egsist. ANd when i have my photo he is missing 1 arm.

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 ... Ok are you on drugs? Are you mentally retarted if you are god bless your soul. But guess what if it aint in the news it aint real. And belive me they had news in the 80's. Trust me i lived in the 80's 70's and 60's. Whatever is in your room is fake my friend. It would be illegal to hold the ashes of a dead convict. Please join us in reality.

  • @c3po402 I'm not on drugs. It really isn't important when leatherfaces body was found while 2 police officers where on a look out for him the girl had chopped his hand off and wacked him in the head with a hammer and he had died girl wen't to jail and leatherfaces body was tookin in costidy leatherface has gone to jail and this and that so it was not important to them so tcm was just an abandon person that started to kill his family thats all

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 Dude! TCM 2003 was writtin by Michael Bay! You know the guy from transformers. He wrote the fucking movie! Read the credits ITS NOT REAL. Its for your entertainment ok. They didnt think people would take it this fucking seriously.

  • @c3po402 I DIDN"T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT 200# MOVIE AND YOUR WRONG THE TCM IS REAL I HAVE A VIDEO AND GOD DAMN PICTURES KNOW FUCK OFF YOU LITTLE PRICK!!

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 Give me some more evidence other than that shitty as video that your grandpa made just to fuck with you. Then ill believe you.

  • @c3po402 What kinda advice. ANd my grandpa was a poor ass fuck no way he can make a fake video over something that stupid.

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 No your lying or the vidoes fake. What makes you think that hes real. If hes not in any of the newspapers. And the people that created the movie even say its not real why do you still believe it? They made the movie in 1974 for your entertainment they didnt mean it for you to actually believe it. Just grow out of it ok there was once a time when i belived it was real but i MATURED. Anyways ive been to the house its a normal house nothing has ever happened trust me.

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 By the way have you seen the origanal movie? Then you must know who gunner hansen is he was the guy that played leatherface. He is telling you himslef that ITS NOT REAL ITS FAKE IT WAS MADE UP NOT TRUE NEVER HAPPENED EVER ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD SO STOP CONVINCING YOURSELF IT HAPPNED CAUSE GUESS WHAT IT DIDNT SO STOP!!!!!!!! PLEASE YOUR MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF

Go to gunner hansesns website and go to his faq's page. go to google and searth it up

  • @c3po402 I can't believe, your that fucking stupid to believe I have a photo of him ''dumb ass...

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 Lol. I dont ive been denying it this whole time. You have keeped going on how you have one though

  • @XxXDisturbedXxX1000 it was real. i know it was.

  • its fake everyone this was the house in the movie.... and the movie is based of ed gein... look it up

  • @Reesypuff Thank you finally. But it is nice to tell people it is real so they will watch the movie lol. I did it to my gf. But i told her after the movie it was fake.

  • @Reesypuff agreed

  • ive been there b4 :D i live in burkburnett, TX so it only like an hour drive 2 there :p lolz..

  • I wouldn't have the balls to get near that house ! I'd shit my pants

  • @stingerhead666 Why? thres nothing there? its just a farmer thats it nothing ever happened in that house. it just looks creepy. My house looks creepy and i live in texas dosnt mean there was a sadistic family living there lol

  • People...be reasonable! let me tell you something my mother was alive when "tcm" was alive but she said it was two characters... she said there was a guy that killed people with chainsaws and then there was a guy who killed people and cut off there faces! soo that was a way they came up with everything they took two people and made one character so trust me dont trust me either way they were both caught and are now dead

  • @dallasandmegan Its not real. Its based off of ed gein he was the real killder but he lived in wissconson. He died in the 1980's of cancer. The movies Physco, Silence of the lambs, and tcm were all based off of him. But it is a good story though lol. I lived in Granger all my life nothing even remotly close to an inncident happened like that.

  • what county is it in texas

  • @joshua97ify read the description

  • @joshua97ify Williamson county :) its just outside of granger texas

  • i bet u were shitting bricks driving to the house! lol

  • ive been out to see this house a couple of times. i just pull over on the road that runs in front of the house and take pictures. if your on the road in front it is not tresspassing

  • whats the name of the road that leads to the house ?

  • i used to live in pflugerville texas, and had friends who lived in granger i remember driving by this house going out there.

  • None the less its a really cool house. But out of respect for the owners and out of fear for my safety I wouldnt dare tresspass. DONT MESS WITH TEXAS!

  • Hahaha! So, so true!

Plus the house itself is something that should make you fear for your safety.

All the windows and doors have been boarded up for years because after the movie there was no point in maintaining the upkeep for a house so large that really just wasn't good for much.

And they didn't even think they'd need to go that far until some dweebie nut job from Austin broke his arm or something when a board collapsed at like, 2 in the morning while he was sneaking around with a camera

  • I would NOT go pass the main road if I were any of you, unless you dont mind having a few buckshots in your ass!

  • @Schotta001 (and the rest of y'all)

No kidding. It's on my family's land. So many crazies have tried and get up close or even break in over the years that there's a legitimate roadblock in the driveway.

  • @southernbelle61 Is it fixed nicely inside or fuckued up like in the movie??? does anyone live there?

  • @latinheataintbeat911 Yeah its a farmer and his family. They got paid almost half a million dollars just so the people could shoot the movie in the house. Lucky ass family huh

  • @southernbelle61 Really, how are you related?

  • the house is still scary and creepy like it was in the movie

  • sure is a scary looooooooooooooong road

  • why you didn´t go to the house?

  • i swear tht at 2:28 thers a for sale sign in the yard

  • @rukomania no, it was a "no trespassing" sing.

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk did u even try to go and have a look around?

  • @manhuntAC yup but we didn't film it. We didn't try to look around cause it's owned by farmers but we stopped in front for awhile.

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk cool

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk so you were inside the house

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk that wouldve been really cool if you filmed it with you looking around,

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk but why no tressprassing please answer nice video

  • @LuckyHonkyTonk HOW DO I GET TO THIS HOUSE FROM FORT WORTH I WANT TO GO INVESTIGATE

  • @rukomania no, it is a NO TRESPASSING SIGN.

  • @rukomania oh yea i nocticed that

  • this is real right now ppl are giving tours around the house now that hes got captured and killed just for $8 im planning on going :D but fuck im scared

  • the house is creepy just looking at it. looks like an old plantation or something. maybe a slave jacked up thomases face and then escaped and thats how he began to kill people

  • no he was born that way iit shows in the movie

  • i like the remakes, but i still think the original was better

  • i think the original was better than all of the remakes, but the remake from 2003 was awesome.

  • i think the remakes were GOOD,not great,i still think the original was the best

  • ha i like the country music in the background :)

  • this video fucking SUCKED

  • thats not the real house the origingal house was burned down as soon as they arrested the man who brutally murdered the ppl....btw the leatherface was true but not like the movie texas chainsaw massecre and he did make mask and other stuff out of skin but he just didnt wear them......... Ed gein, look him up on wikipedia

  • @TheColombianito7 at the end of the documentary it says " the case today still remains open"

  • @TheColombianito7 actually, they never caught Leatherface, he fled after they found his house, that's the point, when they found his house, (you can find the real police video) they went into his basement, and leatherface jumped out at the cop, ripped his arm off, and ran out the back door, he was wearing one of the masks he made from human's faces, so they never saw is face (which was incredibly deformed)

  • @turkeysandwitch74 u actually believe it was real??? It was based off of Ed Gein! Also "silence of the lambs", "Psycho" and other movies were BASED on Ed Gein!

  • @TheColombianito7 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Actual Footage look it up on youtube

  • @turkeysandwitch74 well that's not true lol... A guy named ed gein killed people and they made up this movie from his ideas from what he did. Ed gein cutted there skins off but didn't wear them. The leatherface thing is fake..

  • @halo4412 see the thing is, if have nothing better to do than pick a fight with a kid who's actually BEEN to his house, and scene specials about him on the history channel, than you're just a dumbass! fuck yourself to a picture a cock you weird little fuck!

  • @turkeysandwitch74 will u relax let the kid believe if he wants to believe.u have no right to call any stupid if they believe hes true u prick

  • i dare you to go into the house lol

  • we were going to go and see the house but found out it was moved from the original location...

  • lol that hillbilly music xd, was that really the house? cuz it didnt looked like it. but god i would never visit that house xd

  • there the sawyer family and there a buncha cannibles

  • Comment removed

  • The house is a fake i live in granger texas and they built it in 2003 so they could film the movie The texas chainsaw massacre.. the house is still there though they want to film another movie there.

  • Nice, i went there too but didnt come from the way you did. Granger is a cool town and its only like 1 1/2 hours from Austin.

  • i want to see thaT HOUSE SO BAD

  • @THEMORPHMORPH same w/ me man but i ive in massachusetts so...

  • lol @ the hillbillys music he got playing in his car, or prolly a truck

  • i live in texas, best state ever, nothing scary about it at all

  • bull shit.

  • The house was not knocked down. They jacked up the house and rolled a long flatbed trailer under it and gently lowered the house. A tractor pulled it to Georgetown, Texas and set it down by the LUBY's. It is right across from the parking lot looking South. By the way, the idiot that crashed his plane into the IRS building last week, took off from the airport across the I-35 freeway from this location.

  • For fuck sake this is the remake house , can you at least put that on the title, not scary at all just looks shit, hate when they try to make something over the top scary and it isn't at all in the end,

  • @zigazig1980

it wasent just in the remake, it was in the beginning aswell

  • The house has been moved to Georgetown, Texas next to Luby's off I-35. It has been remodeled extensively and is somewhat recognizable.

  • @sailordiver2007

how can a house be moved, do u mean knocked down ?

  • Yo, this isn't the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house. This is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake house. To call it the Texas Chainsaw Massacre house is to spit on the original. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre house is actually a restaurant in Kingsford Texas. So this house can suck it.

  • Kingsland

  • i saw the movie, and this house look's like the house in the film O.O

    scary xD

  • the road that leads to the house seen in the movie The texas Chainsaw massacre,......... Are You Sierious Look At The Desc......

  • Hey everyone can all keep quiet about saying all the time "it is based on Ed Gein and that it is in Wisconsin!! Yes, It is based on Ed Gein but Thomas Brown Hewitt was real okey! And the house is in Granger TX. Thomas Hewitt! Thomas Hewitt was also called for Leatherface! i don't know if I do not know if the house here on the film, it is true but I do believe it! why would they build a house just for the movie?, It sounds weird. i think the house is really! Next -

  • same wat i sed, who tha f*** bulid a house, for jus a movie. i think this stuff really happend. i get the kreeps evry time i go to texas

  • yea but im sure the cost of the house aint shit compared to what they made off of it

  • u should go down the driveway towards the house. that will be kool

  • @castillo27909. if they did that they would be tresspassing.

  • where is the house at????

  • is the house real?

  • cool for scary movie

  • oook tiimewaste ;D i think u show us the house ...

  • what a creepy looking house ergh!

  • cool

  • go in the house !

  • i would be soo sketched out to drive there

  • its too quiet aswell, no one coming or going anywhere

i only see 1 car driving past in this vid at 1:30

  • and I thought Pennsylvania's roads were bad!!

  • tht damn pennsylvania turnpike will ruin your car quick lol been up tht way 3 times

  • At the part where the house is it looks like someone is standing in front of the house.

  • thts it?

    2 mins 50 for tht

  • it's a couple of miles south of granger on i95 and county road 336...Anyway, I don't see what the big deal is about this house... plenty of places in and around Austin have been filmed in movies.

  • its ed gein in wisconsin I think or ohio

he made furniture out of human bones, and had random body party hanging around his house, and sowed a woman skin suit together like hannibal lecter, the farhmhouse he use to live in is nothing but a tree farm that some white trash farmers live that was the basis of TCM, you can find more info at Barnes Noble

  • ed gein lived in plainfield, wisconsin

he killed mary hogan and bernice worden

  • yes and the real house actually burned down 1 year after the killings

  • thats really ugly xD

  • SCARYEST SHAIT EVAH

  • Show it in the house.

  • in the movie, the little kid said to erin and kemper that road dont go there, to the house.

    but it does

  • the name of the guy was ed gein, theres a movie ........"Ed Gein" the butcher from plainville

  • Here Is The Story:

A man, who's name I forgot, was in fact the real Texas chainsaw massacre er... guy. His mother was very religious, and his dad was a drunk. His mom took her two boys, him and his bro, and left the "sinner." He grew very close to his mother and loved her dearly. He was made fun of in school and was called feminine. Then he went psycho and took a chainsaw to his mom, and took her privates and tied them to himself... The More You Know.... btw don't believe me, google it...
