@Mrpineapplepaul they're way different. It depends on the guitar. Nylon strings are for classical guitars. Steel strings are for steel string guitars. You should NOT use steel strings on a classical guitar or vice versa. In this video he's using a steel string guitar. What guitar you get depends on the sound you like or the type of music you want to play. Nylon strings are easier on the fingers for a beginner, but once you get calluses on your fingers, you might want to get a steel string guitar

Marty, thanks for your tutorials, I have been into music since I was a Kid, and I have been seriously practicing for about a year, with my results probably exceeding the average, as at 50 I take it seriously, and thanks to you it has paid off. A question, in regards to power chords, where 2 and maybe 3 strings are played. Obviously, using the ringer and pinkie, is cleaner than simply laying down the pinkie. I have seen good players lay the pinkie, cheating yes, but for my goals (continued)
