Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

@krypto87 Php 2:12 ...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Your problem is you think you can believe of your own free will any time you want to, but you can't God must cause us to believe or we never will, it is God which works in us both to WILL and to DO! And yes I believe in Justification by Faith alone.
@1689Baptist I AM NOT A CALVINIST! Rev 22:17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
1 Timothy 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
He died for all men! So if He died for all men, He wants everyone to be saved.
@krypto87 I know you are not a Calvinist thats why I told you we have no free will. If you think Christ dies for all then my video Limited Atonement, L in the TULIP series.
The only good thing about this video is the music...and the comment from YoungBaptist07 - as it is true! No believer in Christ says it is a licence to sin because we are saved. However, grace will always abound for sin. There are many people in TE Scriptures who are saved and yet live a life filled with sin, but are still saved. No doubt you would say you must "repent of your sins to be saved" or else this topic would not be difficult for you to understand.
Great video 1689Baptist! I hate Easy Believism as well. I guess people like jacksmack77 and YoungBaptist07 believe that the demons will be in heaven, because they also BELIEVE-and tremble - James 2:19. People who believe that you can continue on in your sins and that it is not necessary to have a changed life, makes our God WEAK. They must think that their sins are just to strong for God to change them. That's not the God of the bible! Please read the bible and Obey His Word - Luke 11:28.
@jacksmack77 Believing on Christ is the same as believing what He says. You believe Him you believe His Word, you believe His Word you believe Him, A person that lives in open rebellion as described in this video is saying Jesus, I don't believe what you say. It is insane for me to say Jack I believe and trust YOU but I don't believe what you say, that is a contradiction. You all think you can believe on the person of Christ for salvation but not believe His Word, the 2 cannot be separated.
You need to learn to think, through out the NT believing in the Words of Christ or what He is saying at the moment is used interchangeably with believing on Him.
''all our good works are as filthy rags''. what other evidence do you need? do you think the bible is suggesting that we can get to Heaven by our so called 'good works'. when we pray we have to really mean it, and God will see into our hearts and know whether we really want o change our evil ways. Then god will give us a new body, and character. if we keep on the straight and narrow path then we won't want to sin anymor. and if we stray off then God will eventually bring us back to him.
@1689Baptist but we can't even come to God of our own accord, He has to take off our 'blindfold' so we can see what sinful, disgusting creatures we are
@1689Baptist sorry i'm kinda stupid, coz i dont even know what easy-believism is. But are you with youngbaptist01, coz i agree with what he says. and in this video, you knida sound like you're degrading what he says. and he basically says the simple truth of the bible.
No, he and I disagree on many things, he holds to what is called easy-believism which claims Salvation through faith alone. The difference is is where does faith come from, he believes faith comes from man, and man chooses to exercise his faith and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Now B/c God has promised to save all those that believe, God must save all those that choose to exercise their faith and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
cont... B/c The Bible teaches eternal salvation man can then choose to go out into sin and live like the devil for the rest of his life and never give God a second thought, even become an athiest, and they still go to heaven, they just lose rewards.
I believe in Salvation through alone also, but I believe faith is a gift from God. God give us the gift of faith at regeneration. When we hear the preached word of God,
God will regenerate (born again) His people and give them faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. B/c this is a supernatural work of God we now hate the sin we onced loved and love the God we once hated we will try to live Holy lives b/c God has put it in us to be Holy. When we sin it breaks our hearts and we run to God in repentance. We will still sin, but sin cannot be wallowed in like a big in mud.
YB07 believes in positional Holiness which is true, but he believes practical Holiness in optional which is not true.Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
It is true that a person can go into sin and still lose rewards, but if a believer deliberatly lives in unrepentant sin, God will chastize that person (Hebrews 12:5-11.) Just as much as you're thinking we're disregarding sanctification in salvation, you're missing the boat by ignoring clear verses that God will deal with his children when they sin.
Look I do not teach a Christian is sinless, and I believe in eternal security. But you all teach eternal security falsely. I know you try to live holy but you seem to want a fall back position, where if tomorrow, you through God out and live the rest of your life as if He does not exist, you are secure, and all that will happen is that you will lose rewards.
I know you believe in chastisement, but what happens when the chastisement does not work? Does God just give up and leave them alone? This is where you all mess up on eternal security, God does not allow His children to live in habitual sin and carnality, the chastisements of the Lord WORK, the believer is brought to repentance, even with the horrible sins of King David God brought him to his knees.
ALL believers are sanctified, sanctification is a WORK of God, ALL things work together for our sanctification including sin in our lives, God has ordained to sin and chastisement process to conform us to the image of Christ.
"you through God out and live the rest of your life as if He does not exist, you are secure, and all that will happen is that you will lose rewards."
That's not even a coherent phrase but I can somewhat see what you're going at.
The Bible says that when a person receives Christ, the automatically become Children of God (John 1:12-13, John 5:1.) A person CAN go into sin as a Christian but not without recourse (Heb 12:5-11, Gal 6:7-8, John 15:6, I Cor. 3:11-15)
You are not telling the truth, You may not have said it personally, but that is the logical outcome of your belief. I know I was in one of these chruches for 5 yrs. The Holy Spirit was continually in my mind saying, this is not right, this is not right. The more I studied the more I knew eternal security was true but easy-believism was not. The problem is easy-believism looks to much to what man does and not enough to what God does.
And you teach false doctrines. Now I know why I stopped speaking to you. The simplicity of the Gospel is lost somewhere amongst your commentaries and pride.
The True Gospel of Christ has become so watered-down, a 'comfortable' gospel to accomodate the sinful, fleshy desires of mankind. Easy-believism is in stark contradiction to the Gospel. For those of us who have been truly saved, we were bought with a price and are no longer our own - He IS our Lord - to deny this, or to work against His work in us is disobedience to the highest degree, and rejects His Grace.
Grace is twofold - it covers past sin, but also gives us the power to resist sin! It's not good enough to call him Lord - Luke 6:46 or sing songs naming Him such when it's abundantly clear that we live for ourselves. We are justified by grace through faith. By grace, we are also sanctified day by day...
if we are not growing in our walk with Him, if we have not forsaken the things that we know He hates, if we are not obedient and sensitive to sin, if we love 'darkness' and do not walk in the light, if we love the world...we do not have Christ. That simple. Easy-believism/hyper-grace would have us believe a gospel that is not the Gospel of Christ. The great apostasy is in full-swing.
easy believism is a grotesque heresy...the idea that we are "saved" by saying a prayer one time spits in the face of Our Saviour and all the Martyrs that have died for Christ's sake.
another word for Lordship Salvation is "Christianity" as it has been preached for 2000 years...people need to read more of their Church History and less of their cult leaders
This is heresy! There are no verses in the bible to back up lordship salvation. How much sin does one give up to be saved? Read Genesis - Nothing Lot does is positive in the bible. Yet in the NT it says Lot was a righteous man according to his faith. Was Jesus the Lord of his life?? Acts16:31 / John 3:16 has the answer people! Believe the Bible!
@krypto87 Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Mat 26:28 For this is my blood of the (((new testament))), which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
The new testament is the new covenant in Heb.8:10. Also read Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
@1689Baptist Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Eze 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
@krypto87( Nothing Lot does is positive in the bible.)
Just b/c the Bible is silent on telling us the good things Lot did does not mean he didnt serve God. 2Pe 2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
Peter said Lot was a witness to those wicked people.
@krypto87 (How much sin does one give up to be saved?)
You cannot give up enough sins to ever save you! That is not the question that is to be asked. The questions to be asked is has God changed me, am I a new creation, do I love the God I used to hate, do I hate the sins I onced loved???
Lot gave up his life in Sodom in response to the warning by the angels. Lot's wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. No, Lot wasn't ever sinless, but neither are any of us, but if we are saved we are putting on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. God can't be in the presence of sin, and unless we are becoming more like God, we have no reason to believe that we will ever be with Him.
Are you saying that if one abuses his liberty by fornicating will ONLY REAP temporal consequences. That is a very dangerous assumption if you really mean that. Gal. 6:7-8 makes it clear that ONLY THOSE WHO SOW AFTER THE SPIRIT REAP ETERNAL LIFE. AND THOSE WHO SOW AFTER THE FLESH CORRUPTION.
And if I am right!! you may shout all you want that you hate easy believism and fight for Lordship salvation but in a latent fashion you endorse easy believism whether you know it or not. Pardon me this is not condemnation on you but this is where your thinking leads. It's just like calling Jesus Lord, Lord and not doing what he says. Thats the last place you want to be.
What question? Whether or not Christ taught a works-based gospel? Do you think my answer has changed? No, works have nothing to do with a man's salvation, and Christ never taught that they do.
Now you can go ahead and answer a few of my questions. For example, how many works are necessary to prove to yourself (and others) that you're truly saved? And why in the world do you think your dung-infested good works count for anything with God?
Salvation is NOT, merited by works, but it will not be void of them either.
Salvation is a WORK of GOD not man, God will see to it we are sanctified.
No, the Scriptures are just fine, you cannot enter the strait gate then live in the broad way. See YB07 told this man living in the broad way he was saved if he had entered the strait gate, the 2 dont go together.
@1689Baptist The strait gate is Jesus Christ Himself. He is the Way. The broad way that leadeth to destruction is any way other than Jesus Christ alone, for example Jesus plus works or Jesus plus Baptism, or Allah.
Have you completely ceased from all sin? I sure haven't. What percentage of your sin do you have to give up to be saved?
You have the strait gate right, but you messed up on the broad way. The strait gate is Jesus "for wide is the gate", see the wide gate is other than Jesus Christ alone, for example Jesus plus works or Jesus plus Baptism, or Allah, not the broad way. Here is the broad way, Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, (((ye that work iniquity.)))
I dont claim to be sinless, being sinless is not the issue. What is your relationship with sin? Do you hate the things you onced loved? Does it grieve you when you sin? Do you try to stamp out all sin or do you revel in it? Do you run to Christ in repentance or do you just shrug and go on?
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" IS NOT easy-believism, this was a desperate cry from a desperate man at the end of his rope. The reason Paul told him to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ is b/c he could easily see that work of the Holy Spirit in this man working Godly sorrow, repentance, and saving faith.
You said, (You're saying salvation isn't of works, but that you have to do works to be saved. I think you and I have very different definitions of the word "of".)
No, "There will be works if you are saved."
That is different than "you have to do works to be saved."
These are two totally different things, you have got to understand this.
You could really benefit from reading some books on logical functions. "There will be works if you are saved" would still make salvation "of works", just as golf clubs are of golfing because "there will be golf clubs if you go golfing"
The fact that the Bible says salvation is "not of works" means that salvation has absolutely nothing to do with works, they're totally unrelated. Just as pizza and astronomy are unrelated. Pizza is not of astronomy. Salvation is not of works.
Yeah, this easy-believism has, for one, contributed to so-called gay "christians" coming out of the closet...in fact, I found an article about a professed "christian" coming out of the closet a day or two ago.
@Coyne1988 The last time I checked, Leviticus made it clear that homosexuals deserved the death penalty and so did Romans1
Maybe the problem is due to preachers not doing their jobs and preaching against the sin of Sodomy along with all other sins. A preacher who cannot preach the Bible does not deserve to stand behind the pulpit and has no business being a preacher.
What reason is there to preach against sin if there is no danger of hell, what you might lose rewards in heaven, that is a selfish reason to stop sinning, or you might get aids or something else bad down here b/c of sin, also a selfish reason.
Unbelievable that anyone who has actually read the bible will come away with "you can sin all you want and still go to heaven if you believe with all your heart"
@kamaujackson811 Paul was the chief of sinners and I think he qualified.
I know what you're getting at, and I'm not taking the bait. We are justified by faith, which means we are declared righteous based on the righteousness of Christ.
But a regenerated creature with the indwelling Spirit of Christ will HATE their sin and turn from it more and more as they grow in grace because the Spirit of God will transform the believer. But we won't be perfectly sinless this side of glory.
Excellent.....that's all I wanted to hear you say errr type. I just pray that you analyze the implications of every comment. Take no offense, I also need to work on this.
@1689Baptist Oh My, what a detestable character this Young Baptist seems, to teach all one has to do to be saved is to believe the Gospel with all his heart, ah I loathe such cretans.
I have been on his page though, and he promotes holiness and separation and encourages believers to do good works. He himself does not seem to live a worldly life so what is the point of this video?
What works are you tlking about? Your works? the works you do?
even the Mormon's and JW's do works and some of them are real nice people.
Do you not understand it is not your works but the works God does in you. evidence that God is working in you will produce fruit- love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance
Do I need to show you in the bible where it explains that even false preachers and false teachers and false believers will also do works. They even produce signs and wonders leading many astray. Works can deceive.
It Must be the Work God is doing not the work man is doing.
How well do you love those around you? Where is your gentleness? how much love have you shown toward Paul Washer?
@TheGloriaaDeus Your an interesting character, I choose not to answer your question, for I feel you have needless contention and I can tell in your comments.
You may think I cannot answer your question, but Galatians 2 is parallel passage with Acts 15, if you know the Bible then you will know the same truth as I do.
I know you promote holiness, that is not the problem, the problem is where your doctrine leads, and this is an example of it in this video.
Here is where you go wrong, Faith alone is for Justification, but true faith is never alone b/c faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit at regeneration, and He will work in the believer.
As faith is a gift, the gift of faith is also to be RECEIVED by the penitent soul. Faith comes through HEARING and HEARING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. Our faith is cultivated by soaking our souls in the Word. And God has given us the responsibility of receiving. As God freely gives we ought to freely receive.
Thank you brother. This supposed Baptist has been getting on my nerves for a while now. He lost all credibilbity with a lot of people when he posted "Sister Washer". How troll like is it to make fun of someones conversion testimony. Good video.
Straight and to the point. This is why Monty is afraid to answer any of my videos. I continually ask him "What is the fruit that you have been regenerated?" Shame.

Let's look at these two scriptures.
This one below is a popular scripture people use for salvation.
Is it salvation or temporal judgment?
Let's use it as a salvation verse as that's how its mostly used and see what happens.
Luke 13:5
"...but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Now lets look at John 3:16
"that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life"
OK, so what does a person have to do to not perish?
"except ye repent" = except ye believe

@Cakey286 Hey Cakey
Some of what this dude says is slanderous, I have never said that once your saved you can become an atheist again
If a believer chooses to live in sin, then he will face consequences for his actions, as the Bible makes it clear you will be chastised.
Same as if you live a righteous life then you will be rewarded, it's a dual theme in the Bible
This is what I meant when I said that, when you preach the truth, people will accuse you of things you have not said. :)

bekstamonkey777 1 year ago
if we are not growing in our walk with Him, if we have not forsaken the things that we know He hates, if we are not obedient and sensitive to sin, if we love 'darkness' and do not walk in the light, if we love the world...we do not have Christ. That simple. Easy-believism/hyper-grace would have us believe a gospel that is not the Gospel of Christ. The great apostasy is in full-swing.
bekstamonkey777 1 year ago
easy believism is a grotesque heresy...the idea that we are "saved" by saying a prayer one time spits in the face of Our Saviour and all the Martyrs that have died for Christ's sake.
another word for Lordship Salvation is "Christianity" as it has been preached for 2000 years...people need to read more of their Church History and less of their cult leaders

1689Baptist 1 year ago
@krypto87 (How much sin does one give up to be saved?)
You cannot give up enough sins to ever save you! That is not the question that is to be asked. The questions to be asked is has God changed me, am I a new creation, do I love the God I used to hate, do I hate the sins I onced loved???
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@krypto87
God can't be in the presence of sin, and unless we are becoming more like God, we have no reason to believe that we will ever be with Him.
dkreichen1968 1 year ago

Are you going to answer my question or avoid it?
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@1689Baptist

And you are right salvation is all of God, that is why God will cause His people to be conformed to Jesus
1689Baptist 1 year ago
Wait, I thought salvation isn't of works. You seem to think it is.
The scriptures you quote actually support easy believism by the way, you may want to pick other ones.
Proverbs1x26refurbed 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@1689Baptist The strait gate is Jesus Christ Himself. He is the Way. The broad way that leadeth to destruction is any way other than Jesus Christ alone, for example Jesus plus works or Jesus plus Baptism, or Allah.
Have you completely ceased from all sin? I sure haven't. What percentage of your sin do you have to give up to be saved?
Proverbs1x26refurbed 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed
I dont claim to be sinless, being sinless is not the issue. What is your relationship with sin? Do you hate the things you onced loved? Does it grieve you when you sin? Do you try to stamp out all sin or do you revel in it? Do you run to Christ in repentance or do you just shrug and go on?
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@1689Baptist Where's all that in the Bible? My Bible says:
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:30-31
You're saying salvation isn't of works, but that you have to do works to be saved. I think you and I have very different definitions of the word "of".
Proverbs1x26refurbed 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed
You said, (You're saying salvation isn't of works, but that you have to do works to be saved. I think you and I have very different definitions of the word "of".)
No, "There will be works if you are saved."
That is different than "you have to do works to be saved."
These are two totally different things, you have got to understand this.
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@1689Baptist
Proverbs1x26refurbed 1 year ago
@Proverbs1x26refurbed "There will be works if you are saved" would still make salvation "of works"
WHY?? Do you not understand the doctrine of BEING?

1689Baptist 1 year ago
Unbelievable that anyone who has actually read the bible will come away with "you can sin all you want and still go to heaven if you believe with all your heart"
Heresy.
ironclad452 1 year ago
@ironclad452
What level of sinning is acceptable for one to go to Heaven?
kamaujackson811 1 year ago
@kamaujackson811 Paul was the chief of sinners and I think he qualified.
I know what you're getting at, and I'm not taking the bait. We are justified by faith, which means we are declared righteous based on the righteousness of Christ.
But a regenerated creature with the indwelling Spirit of Christ will HATE their sin and turn from it more and more as they grow in grace because the Spirit of God will transform the believer. But we won't be perfectly sinless this side of glory.

YoungBaptist07 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
TheGloriaaDeus 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
this is the works James was talking about (Jas 2:18)
You will know them by their fruits (Mat 7:20)
All men have faith (even an Atheist) But true saving faith will produce fruits of the spirit (Gal 5:22)
I will show you my faith by my works--you will see Love, Joy , etc...
it is not by works but by Faith alone (Rom 3;27) But that true faith will produce works (Fruit) as proof
It is all about what Christ is doing to a person not what the person is doing for Christ
TheGloriaaDeus 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
Do I need to show you in the bible where it explains that even false preachers and false teachers and false believers will also do works. They even produce signs and wonders leading many astray. Works can deceive.
It Must be the Work God is doing not the work man is doing.
How well do you love those around you? Where is your gentleness? how much love have you shown toward Paul Washer?

read through all the post real slow
I have seen your post and videos.
and the core of the problem is answered in what I Have shown you
the main question I give you is this:
do you know why the first few verses of Galations chapter 2 is important?
TheGloriaaDeus 1 year ago
@TheGloriaaDeus Your an interesting character, I choose not to answer your question, for I feel you have needless contention and I can tell in your comments.
You may think I cannot answer your question, but Galatians 2 is parallel passage with Acts 15, if you know the Bible then you will know the same truth as I do.
Period.
YoungBaptist07 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
Correct Acts 15 and Gal 2 go together
but why is this important
It is very important---Why?
i will give you a hint--- it has to do with James
TheGloriaaDeus 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
I haven't heard from you
What does Gal 2 / Acts 15 have to do with James?
What is the book of Galations about?
TheGloriaaDeus 1 year ago
@YoungBaptist07
1689Baptist 1 year ago
@1689Baptist
