  • When people ask me where I"m from? My country is Puerto Rico. Born in the city of Bayamon

  • Puerto Rico is a colony. It is a nation except politically. It is a sovereign country that was invaded by the US in 1898 and after 117 years of colonial status Congress still has plenary powers over it.

  • @TheNosferican Yeah right. The thirteen colonies were a nation too. British North America was a nation too.

  • As a conservative I have to say that this Vaughn guy is just not good for the party. He's too hot headed, sounds angry, plagiarized Obama's speech and doesn't even know the background stories regarding commonwealth territories of this nation. I really hope that Palin skips this stop.

  • This idiot plagiarized an Obama speech word for word. What a moron!

  • only palin , jd hayfever and ward can turn stupidity into a festival....let the celebration begin!!!!!

  • I thought that the PR is a nation.

  • @gl0bal74 It is. Politically we are not a country. We are a territory of the U.S.

  • of course sarah palin would support this guy. in the debate he parrots the typical right wing talking points without offering any ideas, presenting any evidence to support these ideas or basically anything of substance, but he sounds good to teabaggers; then he shows his ignorance about the country that he purports to put first then shows how proud he is of his ignorance and that he will not back down from it. he should go far in the republican party once anointed by the party's kingmaker...

  • Puerto Rico IS a country. Its a nation. And its also a colony of the U.S.

ROFL give us the independence lol.

  • Puerto Rico IS a country. Its a nation. And its also a colony of the U.S.

    Pure fail imo.

  • @14papayume Puerto Rico isn't a country. It's part of the United States. In casual terms people might refer to it as a country and it's not a big deal (and this incident with Ward isn't one, either), because it's a technicality. Still, it's merely a US territory.

  • @niftuCal Puerto Rico belongs to the U.S, but is not part of the U.S. And technically, yeah, we are not political/legally a country, but sure as hell we are a nation. And that is more than enough to say its a country.

  • @14papayume Puerto Rico is a US Territory.. not a country.. idioto
