Eyes do not fossilize. This is a fact. Soft tissued animals with primitive eyes do not fossilize and hence do not leave evidence of their eyes. Given these FACTS, we can only guess as to when the most primitive eyes appeared. So tell me, would you prefer honesty from scientists on issues such as this? Or would you prefer the religious method where people simply make shit up without justification and assert it as truth?

The book I suggested for both of you goes into great detail on the evolution of the compound eye and non-compound eye. Nothing about Anomalocaris is incompatible with macroevolution. It simply pushes the estimated date of the appearance of compound eyes back a few million years (a drop in the bucket on the geologic time scale). Still waiting for you creationists to come up with something other than "our knowledge is incomplete therefore magic man". Tick tock.

The book I suggested for both of you goes into great detail on the evolution of the compound eye and non-compound eye. Nothing about Anomalocaris is incompatible with macroevolution. It simply pushes the estimated date of the appearance of compound eyes back a few million years (a drop in the bucket on the geologic time scale). Still waiting for you creationists to come up with something other than "our knowledge is incomplete therefore magic man". Tick tock.

Yeah, there are plenty of creatures who don't have eyes as good as our own, but there is nothing to stop their eyes from continuing to evolve into better and better eyes in the future. There will naturally be some variation within the eyes of a given species, but these variations will be small, though small variation is all you need for natural selection to have its way.

While an eagle can see great distances to help it hunt, it would not pass an vision test. (will only see dots on a computer screen). This is exactly why your comment is rather silly and amateurish. You have little understanding of vision, and dont even know that the eye is part of the brain.

Its no use being able to see so far yet you cant see what is close to u! There isnt advantage in seeing well at night yet u are color blind. (like some birds). There isnt a point in having 180 degree vision yet u have completely useless depth perception. The human eye balances all of these birds do not! Thats why its better.
