Yea they left out part where a nother poor Guy took the fault for her being murder when she was running around alive with jesus christ wanna be and the other Guy ended dying in jail out stress he had a stroke.
I always thought Elizabeth's compliance a little much, too--and maybe so--but that clip of her owning Nancy Grace really upped my respect for the girl. Search it if you haven't seen it--won't let me post a link.
@blacklakelight i was the victim of a month-long international abduction carried out both by strangers and the biological father i didn't know because my Mom got us away from him because he was so abusive. the month i was kept in mexico was the one before my 14th birthday, by no means a small child, and about elizabeth's age at the time she was taken.
i can assure you that no matter what you THINK you will do, no matter how sure you are, it goes out the window in reality. (continued...)
@blacklakelight (continued) so even if you are so sure you'll react a certain way, NOTHING prepares you for the moment you are literally one action from death. at one point i was convinced that not only would i never go home to my Mom, but my body would be in mexico forever. that changes everything.
the only people who can have a legitimate understanding of elizabeth's actions or lack thereof are those who have lived similar experiences, though i'd NEVER claim mine was anywhere near as bad.
@cheerdancegirl12 It's got a lot to do with what you've mentioned and Stockholm Syndrome in general...but with the Amy Smart case you've got a lot of things going on that didn't typically happen in other scenarios. I realize people will say she thought he would kill her family but why didn't she think wait, he's a bum hundreds of miles away from my family, how COULD he? After having seen how much of a coward he was when he didn't abduct the third wife he tried to and ran away.
seeing the mother's reaction and how real it is makes me think of the ramsey's. their daughter jonbonet was murdered and they were busy defedning themselves instead of being heartbroken that their daughter was dead. no real pain at all.
@edt5481 ive often wondered that too. there was a boy who was kidnapped, i do not know his name but its a famous case, and i think there is just something very mysterious about them. they are very quiet and i think they become brainwashed and powerless somehow. i dont think they try much to escape. i do not know the reason why.
Dear God, Please watch over the ones who dont believe and give them the life and strength of you into their poor hearts. Lord, help them battle the devil inside their souls and bring TRUE happiness into their lives. Your negative comments will only make me smile=)
...what a good family Elizabeth has,,,,and thanx fo the overwhelming support people give her,a good story of faith love and hope... a little disappointment about the trial and its convection, it take so long-WHY?.. elizabeth is right NO one can take the whole of you, there is always a light of hope.....GOD bless you Elizabeth, i know it will be more tougher journey ahead of you....
@SpArKeLz555 ..I have no way of knowing what your troubles have been, but I hope that they have been resolved and that your future is bright..Good Luck.
Elizabeth Smart, if you ever see this message I want you to know that you might just be the strongest most amazing person on this earth. You helped me get through one of the hardest challenges of my life. Thank you.
It's so horrifying. There are so many heartbreaking kidnapping stories, be it Elizabeth Smart, Jaycee Dugard, Jessyca Mullenberg, Noelle Anderson, Elisabeth Fritzl, and Colleen Stan.
Jaycee, Elisabeth F, and Colleen's stories all reduced me to tears - especially Jaycee's because she was only eleven. I'm so glad that all of them survived. So many kidnap victims never get to see their families again and they die so young.
iam glad she wasn't murdered!! like most girls that get abducted... witch is a good ending to a horrible story!!!! i hope someone kills this monster, slow and painfull!!! fucking beasty bastard...
I typed the first remark about halfway through this video not knowing her stupid father was going to Thank God! What a prick. It was not god or a so called imaginary person whom got the girl discovered, it was a plain ordinary person on the street, being a good kind person who did that. This finding her and letting her parents have her back to finish her childhood with them, had zero, a huge great big fat zero "0" to do with any kind of god imagined or not.
Please don't say God has answered our prayers. And it is/was a miracle, because remember, it was a so called man of God, whom took this girl in the first place!!!
As you might have guessed I think anyone who believes in any God, is very much a little soft in the head, and I don't much care what others think about me.
This girl's immaturity in thinking her family were still in danger, was the only reason she was not able to tell a cop standing right in front of her whom she was, frightening!
@mrbluenun It was a miracle yes, but it was a miracle of God. The man that took her was not a man of God, he might've said he was so people would trust him but he was a liar! Thank God that someone recognized him and called 911. I give God all the glory and praise for this person spotting Elizabeth because He IS the One who made it happen.
@christiangrrl24 And now you are belittling the heroic actions of the individiuals that helped save Elizabeths life. If elizabeth was found dead, would you say that it was because of god, too?
Me, I don't want to belittle anyone, however am I dreaming or did I imagine that I often hear the relatives say something like, thank you god for taking him. Or, he has gone to a better place. Or, He/she was in so much pain and would have only lived as a cabbage, thank you god for letting him/her die?
I am not going to make this a big argument, but by what 'tense' does any of these Defining words ever NOT become the 'Fault' of god?
@christiangrrl24 Right I say I say I say, I am selling tickets for the Match between thetechjedi and christriangirrl24
In theee reeeeed coorner is: christiangirrl24. The one and only true believer that says there is no god.
In the Blluuee Coorner is: thetechjedi, who claims to know the ixistance of god as a real entity.
come now, by your tickets here, but it apparently doesn't matter what you believe because whether he (why not a she?) is real or not he is in control from the day we are born
@thetechjedi You can't get into a battle of wits with someone who has clearly come unarmed. Just wasting your breath, the lower the intelligence, the stronger the faith.
@portersbabe Just because YOU don't believe in God does not mean that He does not exist. It simply means that you don't believe in Him. There's nothing wrong with having faith unless you're a psycho like Mitchell or a terrorist.
@portersbabe I don't blame God for that, I blame satan for that. Satan is the master of destruction. I praise God for that person spotting Elizabeth. And...uh...yeah...God is real.
@christiangrrl24 don't blame the devil either. that is such a cop out. i hate it when people just don't take responsible for their own evil natures. i believe in God as well and that he gave us free will. So if you choose to be good it is on you and if you choose evil that is on you as well. people need to take responsible for there actions and stop blaming or endearing it to some higher power. but this is my opinion
@christiangrrl24 Please be more beautiful than you already are and explain this so us unbelievers can understand it, but while you are thinking, take care please, as you could very easily get splinters sitting on that fence.
It seems to me you want it all ways, when anything is said on god, you are in love with him right?
Anything mentioned on jesus and you are in love with him?
Anything said on the devil and you are, in love with him?
Is there room in what must be a huge bed for little me?
@mrbluenun Stop sending me stupid messages on here. If you want to talk to me then inbox me but stop debating God on Elizabeth's video...and for your information, I do not love the devil. I hate him because I love God.
@christiangrrl24 I honestly thought I was beginning to understand you, but then you say "don't blame the devil either. That is such a cop-out."
Isn't it true the devil gets into our souls and makes us do terribly bad things?
If I can guess what you may say, you may say that "it is down to the individual that they choose to do bad things?" Well are not people (and I assume animals as well as we are in the 'Animal Genus'), controlled either by the good ways of god, or the bad ways of Satan?
What a creep....sick people always do sick things under the guises of religion...The girl is truly courageous and strong-will I wish her all the best with her future. Thanks for the upload
What a strong and courageous young woman. It wouldn't have bothered me if her and her family had been Christian, Muslim or Mormon as they are. That is in no way a knock at someone that doesn't believe in God but this family does and it appears that is where they gathered their strength and hope to believe that their daughter was alive and would be returned to them.
@nothingX9 Thanks for all the uploads! I also saw your short video, you are awesome! And very cute!

The Cops didnt want the sketch released because they had fooled the public into thinking they solved it with the guy who died in jail.
The cops did nothing to help here, it was the parents and the public.
