  • beautiful set up!

  • what brand is ur lightbar?

  • I take it you have an Opticom Emitter or was that just luck? (1:33)

  • I take it you have an Opticom Emitter or was that just luck?

  • What kind of rack do you have on the back there?

  • You need wig-wag headlights. Let me warn you this, Dodge is not good truck, so either Chevy, they wont last, use Ford F250 if I were you.

  • is that a chevy sign in the rack

  • i love it... good luck n thanks

  • why dont u get some wig wags a deck mount led light and stobes in the taillights or somthing in the grill maybe?

  • Nice POV

  • sucks u spent all that money on a full led bar and they'll die in less than 2 years

not to mention the wiring will be shot in probably less than that, because u just had to have those clear lenses

  • @beasst94 what are you talking about? The LFL Liberties in use by our sheriff's department have been in use and rotated through vehicles since there initial purchase. LEDs have a life of over 100,000 hours. Your attempt at sounding intelligent has failed you miserably. You're obviously just a jealous idiot, probably under the age of 15 if I had to guess

  • @texanpride2007 clear domes allow more direct sunlight to get in.... think before you respond...

if the wiring isnt affected, the domes will get all milky and foggy and look stupid within a few months

  • @beasst94 and then you simply wipe them down with a de-oxiding compound, like sold at auto zone or oreillys for headlights. I install these things professionally and I have never had a problem with clear lenses.

  • kblazk86 I love your setup and the video is awesome! You should think about installing some additional LED lights in your grill and Bumper!! Check out my video on my channel of my 2007 Dodge Ram and let me know what you think!!!

  • I have been interested in buying this lightbar, but want to use a code 3 controller like yours. How did you wire this up without the provided controller?

  • What lightbar is that?

  • DUDE where do u live!! in nys we arent allowed to have red lights or sirens as volunteers :/

  • good video

  • only thing you need now is a whelen dominator to go in the grill

  • What state FD do you work for? By the way, great truck, looks really mint with that single light bar at the top.

  • those whackers will be whacking

  • Very nice lightbar, looks good on your truck. Nice and bright. I have the same one standard power in blue but am selling it to try another setup.

  • you should put some lights in the dashboard

  • hey just out of curiosity, how much did that setup cost ( not the truck) just the lightbar, cb, siren system. all that good jazz

  • looks awesome man, thanks for your service

  • Im gonna guess a red, amber, and white light bar? Looks nice!

  • I LOVE all the comments "in my state....where i come from". WELL...CLEARLY Ohio DOES allow red front. Geez, in Missouri tow trucks have red front, but in MY state nobody except fire/PD/organ runners can have red front.

  • ohio you are aloud to have red lights as a volenteer some of the FD's even give them to you to put in/on your car

  • in what state allows you to use red lights as a volunteer firefighter. only class 1 emergency vehicles can use red lights. volunteer firefighters are only class 3 vehicles and can only use blue lights where i come from. using red lights means that people HAVE to pull over for you

  • I find your set up tasteful, much better then some. I however don't find running through stop signs tasteful. Especially since a great majority of firefighter fatalities result from accidents while responding from home to the firehouse. Dont put your name on a memorial in Emmittsburg, MD.

  • quick idk if its just my county or my state but in illinois its illigal for a pov to have red lights only blue white or amber but is your like that

  • Got a few questions what's the lightbar name and what county are u from in Ohio some of the video looks like it was from medina county

  • Volunteer FD's are true Americana, although a career FF for the last 20yrs. I started as a Volunteer and still have a serious respect for those doing that service. Just don't create more hazards than you are trying to solve, be safe and remember all fires eventually go out.

  • very nice.

  • where in Ohio are you?

  • Comment removed

  • Love the truck and the lights man SEXY!!!!!!! perfect combination im a volunteer firefighter too and i love mine 09 dodge ram with whelm and code 3 woot!!!!!!

  • waste of money

  • @scott01642 you wont say that when that ''waste of money'' gets to your sorry ass faster cause you need them.

  • wow....what a waste of money.

  • where did you get the light bar mounting bracket. I have been looking for one

  • check out the lights they have at extremetacticaldynamics.co m, real cheap, but good quality some of the guys on my department have some from there.

  • check out the lights they have at extremetacticaldynamics.co, real cheap, but good quality some of the guys on my department have some from there.

  • POV, what does that stand for??????????

  • idk about other states...RED=illegal!!!!!! you wackers are suppose to run your corny little blue light....unless its a actual FD vehicle...which that aint...BLUE LIGHT LAW!

  • nice vid and what kind of light bar is that

  • what kind of light bar are you running?? my dream bar is the new liberty duo but i aint got that kinda money lol... great setup i really like the look with the bar on the headache rack

  • @dustinhendon Those new libetry duo's are awesome my buddy put one on his F150 it looks so nice

  • Nice vid could use some leds in the head lights and side step ups amd some in the grill then it would be the best!

  • Hey bro...Where did you get the lightbar...And the rack that is sitting against the back window holding it up???....

  • it ain't to great but if you go to ward twp. in carbon hill ohio you will see the 98 we got set up for the fire depatment

  • whered did you get your strobe bar? i have 2 dash lights but want light bar like yours....check mine at : my chevy s10 rescue lights

  • freakin awesome setup! that light bar looks great on ur truck!

  • gotta get some strobes in the head and tailights. your truck could pass as a new version of Walker Texas Rangers Ram...hehe

  • To bad here in Hamilton county volunteers can have lights and siren

  • Ohio do all firefighter there run red and sirens

  • 2 things that i love...

the feeling of people getting out of your way when you are responding to a call

and seeing your lights reflect off of street signs at night

so far all i've got is a mini phantom LED but that thing surprisingly moves traffic really well. even when the suns out

  • What kind of light bar is that?

  • sweet set up

  • im gonna have to suggest headlight/taillight flashers, get a bit more coverage for CHEAP.

    i like the lightbar though.

  • Nice setup. A little bit of fiberglass mat/resin/ vinyl you could make one badass center console to make your siren/scanner/switches look almost factory. USERNAME : SWRNC (MY FRIEND PETE) has some good vids on fiberglass work and NO HES NOT A PAID POSTER!!

  • Where did you get the roll cage for the lightbar?

  • Speaker at :40?

Place it in left grill facing forward.

Loud to you in vehicle but less effective outside.

Headlight wig-wag is FAR moreffective than lights alone. Easy and cheap.

COORDINATE the lights to flash together to create a greater visual impact to attract the unexpecting eye, especially the side LEDs.

    Nice steady dashcam video.

  • need some grille lights and some rear mounted ones and that would be complete

  • nice led bar what is the make and what fire dept are u on

  • Comment removed

  • God bless you guys.... spending more money on your LED light bars than you will ever make responding to calls. Can I see a video of your minitor III??? That would be awesome!!!

  • @MedicPat

Better yet, how about a video of my minitor 5! And I'll even wait till the monday night pager tests so you can hear everyone else's tones!!!!

  • hahahaha! LMAO! That's great! Hey what kind of spray in liner do you have? I got a rhinoliner quote and it's more than I want to spend, but went the DIY route before and would prefer a pro job.

  • @MedicPat

Bed liner is Line-X, mutch better quality than Rhino, think it cost about $550. Read some online forums about Line-X vs Rhino.

  • @MedicPat i just did a herculiner job took maybe 8-10 hours just prep it good and i compare it to my friends rhino linings same thing if not better and only cost 90$

  • @MedicPat Hey band aid whacker, why don't you play hide and go find the suction in your ambulance...asshole.

  • awesome truck and lights looks great at night

  • I'm impressed.

  • great truck awesome bar!!!!! love the blade

  • I have that radio too, TM-271. They're great radios for the price. Easy to program in the field to any channel in the VHF band.

  • what colors are volunteers aloud to put on their cars in NJ? what about sirens and what not, and if I get into an accident it's on me right?

  • @sameerxD Assuming your not allowed to speed or break traffic laws yeah its on you if it is found out you broke traffic laws{you want to contact your insurance company and notify them you are running lights on your vehicle, so if you do get in an accident your not totally screwed.} As for lights in NJ you can run as many lights as you want but only run blue.{only top fire personal and cops can use red} States have different laws and some blue is only for cops, so if you travel to another state

  • @sameerxD check their laws or just take your lights down to be on the safe side. or get LEDs so no-one knows what color they are. your lights could be confiscated and you could get steep fines if you don't. I don't think you can have sirens, but I may be wrong. Goodluck

  • volunteer firefighter? blue light means that the vehicle belongs to law enforcement

  • no , in some states you are allowed ro rune blue lights , like here in ny

  • Depends where you live.

  • Yea in Ny Blue meens Volunteer FireFighter. Red Is chief and the engines, And green is EMS

  • Oh good to know. Cuz here in SC as well as in FL Blue means Law enforcement, Red is a firefighter (possibly volunteer) and green actually means nothing.

  • Yea thats weird

  • calling someone a whacker is sooo stupid.

  • expensive hobby you got there

  • what dept. do you work for?

  • Why did you mount the siren speaker behind the headlight? I have an 06 Ram and the same speaker. I mounted mine on the metal bar between the grill and radiator. It has plenty of room and great sound.

  • whats the name of those lights??

  • @coolsax64 he probably spent alot of cash on that light bar so let him have his joy lol :P

  • @coolsax64 jackass- we can take pride in our pov's just the same as we take pride in our job.

  • @coolsax64 we can be just as proud of our vehicles as we are of th job that we serve. you dont have to bash someone because they are proud of their pov. check out my pov!

  • Beautiful truck and lightbar, you outta grab your self a couple of mini-phantoms for the front and rear windows and some headlight/ tail light hideaways - would look real nice.

  • hey are you aloud to use sirens also

  • 2k3SteedaGT i live in soufolk county in new york on long island my dad is cheif and im a probie we are considered unpayed county employes. we volentere because it is the right thing to do

  • My setup is just basic dash, rear and grill lights for the RFS on a hilux ute.

  • You are so lucky you can use red lights! In WA we can only use Green and half the people NEVER pull over!

  • @TFDEXP green wow never herd of that and beep ur horn

  • Ive heard of that but theres a guy who did that and the people called and complained.

  • whyd u put all this stuff on yer truck? even volunteer firefighters have real FD trucks to use dont they? is it so u can go help them, if yer not on duty at the time or something? cuz if its not then it doesnt rly make alotta sense to me plz explain

  • most volly ff dont run shifts but when they get a call everyone goes on it,and usually only captains, lieutinants, asst.chief, and chiefs have fd vehicles to drive.

  • Volunteer firefighters use the lights to get to the station so they can get the Dept rigs to the scene.

  • @rhino2960 when ur a volunteer ur never on duty ur normally out of the station so u respond with lights to get to the station fast get ur gear on and go or u can go strait to the call

  • i meant hide-a-ways

  • pov's definately

  • Nice set up. you should get some hide aways and grill lights

  • emm...hi guys....i'm a VFF in Slovenia(EUROPE) AND just wanna know what POV stands for.... tnx...

  • Privately Owned Vehicle. its for volunteer emergency response. like a volunteer firefighter

  • Nice setup maybe put some headlight strobes in and some grill lights and you would be lightin' up the road.

  • Nice setup! I have a 2005 Dodge Powerwagon with led front and rear with a Code 3 MX7000 on top, unfortunately our state statutes make us run amber only in POV's.

  • are you jokeing or were you born a dumbfuck

  • Neither, I just never heard of a volunteer firefighter! You expect every fucken person in this world to know what a volunteer fireman is?

  • Yes its self explanitory

  • Do you know what a firefighter is?...do you know what "volunteering" means? I'm pretty sure a 2 year old could figure out what a volunteer firefighter does...he volunteers to help fight fires. Jesus christ..

  • You need not look much past rhino's profile to understand his comments. It speaks volumes of him. But I understood and appreciated your comment.

  • Very nice...I think what would top the truck off is some wig-wags in the headlights or LED flashers in the fog lights. Very well done!

  • What mount is that you are using for the siren and radio?

  • Truck is awsome what light bar is that

  • Hey an, very clean... I like your setup! I am a volunteer out of new orleans/baton rouge area I love it! I also work offshore so I enjoy being able to volunteer when Im on land!

    very clean!! LSU/SAINTS haha

  • nice set up but is it legal to use a ham radio? im not even sure myself, just a question I thought of. Very nice though.

  • Thats not a "ham" radio so to speak. It is a commercial radio, some of which can be used on amateur frequencies like 2 meters, 440mHz, an 800 mHz...In this case he is using the radio as a public service radio receiver, or scanner. Most commercial radios are programmed for channels, ham radios have a vfo for infinite tuning within a band, as well as programmable channels. CTCSS/PL encoding is basically the same...73

  • Hey,Looks like a Kenwood 271! That IS a Ham Radio, I own 2 , am a 'ham operator". the ''brother'' to that radio is the TK2170M , commercial mobile.....73s

  • To spkn07: Yes, we do. Having worked for both a career or "paid" dept and an on call or "volli" dept, I can tell you without hesitation that the level of dedication is 200 times more with the vollies. In the paid dept, all I ever heard was "What do I get out of it" or "I don't get paid for that". With the vollies, it's "What can I do to help". And as for training, it is much more intense with the vollies and much more frequently. At least that is the case with the dept I am with.

  • So.. do these volunteers go through any kind of academy for ECOV training? Or do they just say hey, throw some lights on your car and drive like your in a pursuit (not specifically this video)

  • It depends on what state your in and also how big your department is..at my station you have to be a lieutenant, captain, assist. cheif or cheif to run lights are respond to a scene POV.

  • hey just wondering are u a officer in your department

  • i love it, nice truck btw, AMERICAN TRUCK POWER!!!!!

  • best pov vid ever! now all that cummins needs is a bigger diesel valve so we can see some of that THICK BLACK SMOKE! haha

  • nice set up! Thats really cool. did you do the rack so that you didn't have to drill into your roof? probably made it removable to do it that way.

  • what is ur stations rules on the number of lights allowed on ur truck

  • is it the siren speaker at 0:38 ?

  • yep whelen slim mount

  • My favorite POV on here, can't wait until I get my POV all set I have a 06 Dodge 2500 Cummins! Awesome job nice and clean!

  • Pov stands for Personaly owned vehicle

In My county you can only run red lights and siren if you fire cheif or fire police captian

  • Actually, depending what state you're in, POV can also mean Privately Owned Vehicle OR Personally Operated Vehicle. STAY SAFE!

  • not tring to sound dum but wht you u use a POV for?

  • if you're responding without going to the fire station. you just drive your truck straight to the scene.

  • How much would you sell that truck for? IT"S A BEAST

  • can i have you truck!!!!??????? LOL I LOVE IT A VERY VERY NICE TRUCK

  • to make it better i think you put in some grill lights and strobes in the headlights.

  • Did you make that rack or did you buy it.

  • what are you fire police volly captain

  • why in the world do you have amber and clear? why not throw red and blue all over that with Code 3 clearance from the state?

Im guessing its a state regulation for volunteers?

  • yah it varies by state (and district)

  • its red and clear you idiot

  • im not sure why he has amber my only guess is for traffic control his plates say ohio so only lights we're allowed to run in ohio are red and white red and blue is for the cops only

  • Not true, I have my lights set up with amber in the rear for traffic purposes and it is 100% legal. You are right about the blue for police, however amber is allowed.

  • ahhh i guess it might just vary from department to department or county to county. I know here in tuscarawas the chief told us we're not allowed to run amber since it's for ODOT workers only so all i have is a red /w white wheeling edge strobe on top of my gagt

  • very possible it could vary in different counties and departments, but from where I am it is allowed..and most of the rigs and battalions around here run an amber adviser on the rear.

  • not true! the Ohio Revised Code states: An emergance vehicel shall be equiped with at least 1 rotating or flashing light.. thats the end of the section. it dont say you can only run red on fire and red and blue on police, you can have as many lights as you want, red or blue!! i am a vol firefighter and a police officer... i know the law!!

  • yeah i have all kinds of lights on my pov. But in t-county we're only allowed to run red and white only law enforcement are allowed to run red and blue least that's what the one book on ohio law's about lights and sireans said yeah the engines are allowed to run red and blue but not pov i dont know what year that book was from but that's what my chief read from it *shrugs* maybe it was a book from the 70's or earlyer i dunno i am just going by what i was told

  • @druman32

Are POV's even legally classified as emergencyresponse vehicles? In Canada they are not and have to adhere to all traffic laws.

  • @ pearsonff--you are gonna get a mix of comments on this...in my jurisdiction- a pov in not classified as a Emergency Vehicle, pov's can only run blue lights with no siren unless they are either chief, asst chief or a officer then they can run red lights with a siren..

  • hey blaz nice lookin truck, i noticed no strobes ? would look good if ur into that.

what was up with the power lines down ? tornado ?

  • Really makes me miss the days I did POV response and had a lightbar.. mostly the driving scenes you showed, reminded me of the 3am calls when there were almost no cars on the road, and could actually almost enjoy the drive... but I have to say, some secondary lights really help... I come from the halogen rotor days, but more than one level of lighting always went a long way for us.. (of course not that texas drivers care anyhow, people hardly pull over to let ANY emv pass, much less pov).

  • Nice, could use a few strobes but still good effort. Secondary LEDs never hurt either. Wig wags and a spot is always helpful. Hope you have EVOC.

  • well in ohio you are allowed to have all red or red and white lights and sirens. we are not allowed to have blue lights in your personal car we are allowed to run code to the station

  • Bad Ass Truck This Is Like 10 Star My Favorite Picture Moment Is At 0:22 Best POV Ever And I've Seen Alot Of Them This Is The Best.10 Star.

  • ffhamburg192 this is in response to your qustions diffrent states have diffrent laws about personal vehicals for example here in pennsilvaniya were i live we are allowed to use blue lights if we are regular firefighters the blue represents "please get out of my way" but if you are a fireline officer you are allowed to use red lights and sirens and by law you are considered an emergancy vehical so people have to move

also please excuse my spelling ang puncuation a just got a fire call

  • I've got a few questions.

Im from germany, and our firefighter arent allowed to have Lights on our private vehicles.

    first question:

Are you also entitles to use sirens?

Does the car have any emergency equipment?

Do you respond to the Emergency direktly or do you respnd to the fire Station to assign the fire trucks?

I hope you guys understand my english and someone can answer the questions :)

    regards

  • Some states allow the use of sirens w/ lights but most "lights only" rules.

It must be visible 360 degrees.

Some places respond directly to scene others to the station.

Some people have axes, etc in their trucks.

  • Ok thanks for the answer :)

  • Awesome truck man. You have a lot to be proud of with that set-up . You did an awesome job. 5 Stars all the way.

  • Your truck IS the most clean stealthiest truck ever this is bad ass. 5 Star.

  • Nice vehicle! Love the angles you took with the camera!

  • hey where in oio do you live

  • hey i have the same siren, what dose the switch between the manual and air horn do?

  • Hey, the swich between the manual and air horn is for if you have the siren hooked up to your actual steering wheel horn. If you hook it up, when you press the horn in your vehicle, it will cause whatever the swich it pushed too.

  • this pov truck is for volunteer fire department so he or she can get to the station faster

  • Coast Guard.

  • Really nice light bar along with a nice control unit and clean interior.

  • nice lights dude, im a volley out of texas. my pov is a 95 4runner with hide away bar on the front, led slim bar on the back, siren hooked up to a pa, wig wags in my side running lights and then i run with my hazards on, these guys need to stfu, i work with both volleys and paid guys and everyone of them is just as good as the other, one just does it solely for the love of service, pov lights when used responsibly save lives, before anyone talks trash think about who will have your back....
