I would like to ask you if you have personally used the DomainDataSource in
real-world enterprise applications ?
It seems like most of the demos involve showing features by way of DomainDataSource, which is easier to do but ends up creating a structure that is very hard to test. Moreover, all that data access code inside the xaml makes maintaining the application a nightmare.
I think it would be better to demonstrate using MVVM style.
This is one of the best videos I have seen concerning SilverLight with WCF RIA and a database. You did a great job of starting out showing the SilverLight Line of Business choice, then adding the ADO.NET data model, then adding the Domain Service and then tying it together nicely. Just one thing lacking could be how to save data that would be edited. Then it would be a complete application. But thank you very much. You do a good job of explaining.
