walk over to the aliens after you kill them. that floaty shit is almost like credits so you can upgrade your suit. the more you kill the cooler suit modules you can unlock.

Just curious. How did you miss the traffic barrel while using a sniper rifle and not moving...? I mean you hit the moving targets fine, but the object that is immobile you failed to come close.. Not poking fun or anything but I found it amusing.

I don't understand why you are passing the alien corpses after you defeat them. You do realize  that you can collect the necessary items to upgrade by simply walking up to their bodies right?
