The snow cover helped keep the temperatures from getting warm as well, acting as the polar ice caps do. That was the year Louisville hit its all time record low of -22°F.
Indeed it was. We got 18 inches of snow and then the -22 temps so everything froze rock solid. It was a super cluster**** and something I hope to never see again.
i was in kindergarten, so all i cared about was not having school and the fact that there was a lot of snow on the ground. the super cold temperatures were not my big concern.
I miss louisville......I wanna move back someday.

Man, this storm was SOMETHING. Louisville was essentially shut down for 3 days.
