@slwsteven12 Ok...why don't you explain it. That was the point of my comment, I don't understand. Why waste the band's time without music? I play trombone and I marched in the past. Watch the Glenn Miller trombones do something similar...but play while doing it.

on the youtube videos of walnut high school's trombone suicide... they do it at like 80% the tempo that CSU does it at, and they don't do it blindfolded like CSU does. Slower with no blindfolds? Not nearly as impressed.

True, but they're also a high school. I've seen another high school do it, it was slower by a lot but it was still kinda cool. Plus they didn't steal the song (or whatever you want to call it) which was kind of nice.

This video was recorded during a CSU band exhibition, while the judges were tallying the scores for the CBA HS marching band championships. I think, otherwise, that they perform this during halftime shows at football games, among other events.

Awesome, I was in the CSU band from '95-'98, so glad to see they are still doing this. Brings back memories!
