  • I'm happy she dedicated her award to Florence Ballard of the Supremes. R.I.P. Florence Ballard

  • Her grammar is much better than Beyonce's! and I agree that she is more real! At least she's not faking like she's someone else when people can clearly see who she is! Go Jen!

  • i luv luv jennifer... she is sooo beautiful 'n talent, i luv wut she representz.

  • SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!

  • She is such an AMAZING person!!!

  • i like how she mentions effie was florence ballad's voice, not many ever mention flo ballad

  • There were always this assurance in the past that the Dreamgirls were not based on the Supremes (maybe afraid they would get sued by Ross or Berry Gordy), even though we always knew it.

Guess they don't care about hiding it anymore, or Jennifer didn't get the memo, lol. And good for her ! Flo was a great voice and one of the great tragedies in music.

  • She's so beautiful.

  • jennifer is the realist no matter how much you think she needs to work on her grammer. im pretty sure she's aware of her mistakes-thats why they are called "mistakes." i personally love the way she talks. she does do interviews as if shes been doin them for years...my girl's a natural star that is shining soooo brightly...yet so beautifully. congrats j!

all the way from the "chi"

    ~a true jhud fan~

  • i don't think she needs to work on her grammer at all that's who she is. no-one should talk diff to kiss ass or to look good. she is beautiful and her voice is amazing! unless she is spatting out f-bombs or every other word biatch lol then she is good. i don't like fake artist or fake people in general. she is doing just fine.

  • @sripeat amen, im tired of all thes fake ass people on tv she is what this world needs more real peopl. im tired of these fake ass stark thin stick figures, that the media parade around. curves are beautiful, and being real is the realest.

  • i think jennifer is very pretty and exotic looking, she has awesome and i love her eyes! she is also a great actress very natural.

  • i cant believe she sed that. "u like my award, simon" wow. i luv u jennifer. she is so down to earth. u gotta luv this chick

  • how did she hear some of those ppl. they were talkin so low. but she is so amazing and she deserves everything. u go gurl

  • does anyone have the acceptance speech video. its deleted by diane ross. :(

  • Whooooo! we love u jennifer!

  • LOL

  • I love her

  • Jhud is the best shes wonderful..all she needs now is her grammy and its waitin on her now, she has a oscar, golden globe, NAACP, and emmy

  • It would be cool to hear Jennifer remake any of the old doomed Florence Ballard records. She could update them and honor Florence with them.

  • Jennifer needs grammer lessons, lmaoooo she speaks better than the average as.S shaking pop tart. Jennifer will evolve because she's got character!

  • I want to know if there is a website to email Jennifer, I would like her to consider some songs by the late Florence Ballard.

And I would love her to do a song by Patti Austin called "Rhythm Of The Street" she would make that a hit cause many don't know of the song, I would love to see her do some other old school R and B songs from the 1960's, 1970's and 1980's and 1990's as well, especially a song by Tenay called "Giving All My Love".

  • that was hilarious when she said her sister would have to e-mail her instead of texting because roaming was too high!

it's nice to see someone winning all these awards and in this huge movie role say something like this :]

  • yeah that was funny to hear her say.. Which by the way is a very true statement....lol

  • What did she say about youtube?

  • She said something about "I can see it on YouTube..." This means that she, like millions, comes here to watch videos.

  • Is Jennifer Hudson related to Angie Stone?

  • was that a real question? if it was the answer is no. what made u ask that? she has a mother and 1 older sister, her father is deceased, PEACE

  • She's a lovely girl, but as a public person, Jennifer should watch her grammar, which can be influential in what TYPE of roles she's offered. Saying things like, "I've ran into" is not good. I'm hoping the people around her will put this in check. Motown's Artist & Development groomed their acts to speak English correctly, etc. This is important.

  • I am pulling for this singer. She's signed with Clive Davis, who obviously talked Fantasia into leaning towards hip/hop and as a result: trite, lousy albums. Jennifer should sing classic soul. If she goes hip/hop, she'll sound like all the rest of the no-talents. Stick to your OWN style, Jennifer, you didn't work this hard to sound like everybody else. We're counting on you!

  • Jennifer mentioned on her MySpace site that she would be singing classic R&B/Soul – which is optimal for her outstanding range. I agree that her talents – much like Fantasia's have been – would be wasted on hip hop.

  • I'm making a CD compilation of songs for Jennifer to consider in addition to things that will be offered to her. Really good songs that were not hits and most folks haven't heard. Hope she listens to it. Did you hear that hot song on YTube by Millie Jackson? "My Man Is A Sweet Man?" Jen could tear that up!

  • I would love to hear those songs.

  • she doesnt need to change a thing. Shes is who she is and doesnt havee to apologize for anything. She's real and if you think she needs grammar lessons, then you're being rediculous. shes soulful edgy and a true southern gurl. let her be who she is.

  • You are wrong. For the most part, she speaks well, she just needs to be careful. Being "real" can get her cast in sterotypical parts, mainly street girls. But speaking well should be encouraged for all people, including Jennifer.

  • She is very confident and projects herself well. It's as if she's been doing interviews for years. She will go far.

  • I love Jennifer, she has a since of humor, she's real. Def not letting this fame get in way of her personality. She's beautiful, and God has trully blessed her. I like her comment about Roaming costing too much, because she def was not lying.

  • She is a class act

  • i fall more and more in love with her every time i hear her speak. she is such a beautiful woman and she speaks so eloquently while still being incredibly natural and at ease. she's a real talent and i'm thrilled to see her career unfold.

  • shes gorgeous..i think its vertually impossible for her to look bad

  • kudos to Jennifer - "we are all beautiful no matter what shape or size we are!" well said ma gurl!

  • i am a fa nof JHudson like you do! truly admire her works and her artistic journey! pay no attention to all those haters. we see something in Jennifer but those idiots dont cos they are just IDIOTS!!!

  • i defintely agree with you but why would you make a comment like that on the internet for everyone to see?! come on now be a little more mature! thats rude and ignorant!

  • Jennifer is such a beautiful person, she deserves every acknowledgement and award coming her way, wish more celebrities were this humble..

  • darthtyranus77 u say dats all we good @..we good @ whuppin ur punk ass2. i bet u wouldnt say dat in person in a "nigger"s face now would u....get da fuck off da internet wit dat bullshit stop hatin

  • darthtyranus77 are you fucking serious?? you fucking bigot.

  • hey y'all, i got a quick question: on her acceptance speech, when she talked about how the award did smthg for her confidence, why was it so funny? i kinda have an idea why but could some1 brk it down for me just in case i interpreted it wrong. thanks

  • i dunno, cuz no 1 ever says that, so when she said it, it was funny, the way she said it was funny. we no she meant it as in the confidence 2 say shes an actress but i think ppl took it at 1st as that like all of us, we want more confidence in our selfs so thats y ppl laughed, they also took it as a joke. i thought it was funny. what was ur ideah???

  • hi, thanks for answering to my question. i thought that the reason Y it was funny to ppl is because the character she played (Effie) was some1 who was full of confidence and for Jennifer to say that it did something to boost her confidence up was the complete opposite of the character she played (and got an award for). so, i guess it was odd (and funny) to say that ... maybe im wayyyy off (lol) but thanks though for your interpretation.

  • ya i think ppl thought that 2, she has said its cuz its given her confidence as an actress cuz she thought no 1 would of taken her 4 real but i think ppl thought the same as what u did. also cuz shes a *bigger* sized woman & ppl r ALWAYS talking about her weight & shape that mayb they thought thats what she was talking about, so theres another reason, but until u brought it up i hadn't even thought about y she said it LOL

  • WELL deserved jennifer, ur talent is just amazing. i was jumping around the room screaming when they said ur name. ur voice is just amazing, the things can do with ur voice and the way u tell a story through music is one of a kind. ur a very speacial woman with a great soul jennifer and ppl like u r hard 2 come by in these days. thank u 4 showing ur fans ur magic heart. love and support from me always jennifer, Marcus XXX

  • Thats my Shero represent yours!!! And to yall dumb folks on here the reason 4 making a comment is to talk about the video not each other get some "ACT RIGHT" thank ya!!!

  • Much style & grace Jennifer

  • u are excellent

  • Jennifer, you are wonderful. I love your confidence. You are up there
