The so called " Spiritual Advisor to George Bush" Richard Land raves on about how HE's right, the BIBLE is right, & any other oppinion can simply go to hell. This is exactly the kind of close minded idiot who poisons a nation, & sends young men off to war & Die. His work should be acclaimed! because he did JUST THAT! his bullshit convinced the worlds dumbest leader George W Bush that he was doing Gods work. I agree with you. The way Republican ideology and practices do not correspond to my Christian values of peace (vs war in Irak), love one another (racists and KKK members are mostly found within Republicans...im sorry but that is a fact), respect (what about Republican Christian extremists bashing the gays and those who shout at poor girls they are murderers when they enter an abortion clinic), respect for the Creation (read meet Kyoto protocols goals), non-violence (=no to NRA). ect

@carocatho History books prove you wrong. The KKK was mostly Democrat, part of the Solid South of old. As for non violence, Jesus told his diciples to sell their cloaks and buy a sword if they had none.

I think it is ironic that 54% of SB are republican. The southern baptist churches I've been to are filled with mostly low and middle class blue collar white people. The Republican party is the rich man's party. They only use pro-life as a smoke and mirror tactic to get the evangelical vote. Wake up SBC...it is no wonder baptism is slipping. No one wants to follow the idiots that are running that show.
