  • i have download a maps on nokia website for my n95 8gb,but then i still can't use my maps,it showed nothing on my phone except for the yellow screen..so,what should i do now?plz help me!!!

  • You sound confused. Try Nokia Discussions.....

  • i had the same problem but i copied the file cities from the memory card of my n82 and i pasted them at the memory of n95 8gb (replace file cities from your phone with cities from another phone)

  • Steve which is the difference between Nokia N95 (The Grey One) and Nokia N 95 (The Black One).....The Black One has a different name, because i want to buy that one, greetings from Argentina!good review!

  • hello, im writng to ask u about the nokia n81 wifi. how does the nokia n81 wifi work???

can u start from when u turn the phone on?

  • cool video, i hav the nokia n81 8gb and i want 2 knw how 2 gt GPS on it>>?

    plz reply if u knw"";D

  • one more tip...

the windshield of the car,(the glass :D), in some models have an antifreezing chemical addon, bassed on a certain metal, that is affecting the gps signal. see some specifications of the car first.

PS: this is likely on pre-gps era models, but... it's good to know.

  • how many times have you changed clothes?

  • Err..... Not sure what you're referring to here?

  • lol... i dont get it... i got n81, and downloaded map over norway... but, WAIT! oh i need a gps to have gps on my phone oooh... now wth is the point then.. why not just use the gps instead and u only need 1 unit instead of 2...

  • Great txting? Just about anything on the planet then!!!

  • Hello Steve. I'm Laurie Garratt's Friend And Laurie Said That I Should Invite You And Me To Be Friends! By The Way I Like Your Videos! There Very Good! Adam Lawrance aka 'CameraManAdam'! =)

  • my god. that really is fantastic.

I've been trying to get myself clued up for so long on which life-organising phone to invest in, and had a hunch it was the sleek N95 8gb..

For a newbie like me (not to technology, but to owning this sort of device) it'd be really useful to know a bit about what to know before handing money over for one; specifically costs/contracts for the internet + GPS features..

  • hey wat are ur views on n78 , n96 and n81 the 8gb version

  • Er..... you want my opinions on all those in a YouTube comment????

  • sorry i didnt make myself clear. bt a video on these model would be nice of you.. bcoz i wish to buy a new cell soon so i was just inquiring ur opinion on which is the better one that money can buy.

  • I'd probably go for the N78 if it were my money....

I'll be getting N78 and N96 in for review in a month or two's time.

  • ok thank you for your opinion..expecting ur review on N78 n N96 ....bye

  • is INTERNET required for gps use on the bj2

  • i got a nokia 6110, i was thinking that I made a mistake to buy this phone I should go for n95 but after watching this vedios nokia 6110 which is on number 3 now m feeling that i didn't made any mistake.

  • very helpful, thanks very much!

am sure the price is going to kill me when i get the N95 8gb.

  • almost a perfect phone except there is no memory slot VERY DISAPOINTED! WHY DID NOKIA DO THAT? to make more money? making another phone with the memory slot? wanted to buy this phone soo bad its just the memory is going to be soo limited!! ERRRR WHY WHY

  • Remember though, there is 8gb of memory in there. i don't think anyone needs more than that.

  • Your insight is most helpful, I have an iPhone now but had a Nokia N95 and Nokia E90 and now waiting on my Nokia n95 8gig, two of them actualy and I think I may keep it this time, along with my iPhone of course.

  • can u use the GPS in the N95 8Gb if you're talking on the phone?

  • Of course. It's a multi-tasking computer. You could actually be talking on the phone while your GPS was tracking your position and you were downloading five podcasts over Wi-Fi in the background. 8-) That sort of thing.

  • Can you do the GPS while I'm talking on the phone on the N95? I am really ready to buy it if i can talk at the same time the GPS is working!

  • Yes, I don't see why not.

  • didn't you rate the nokia e61i higher than the iphone in an earlier episode?

  • Oh, yes, for the core tasks and for that moment in time. But the iPhone is receiving upgrades from Apple and it's going to get better. And I added in here the 'cool'/desirability factor.

  • Interesting that you rate the Iphone as a smartphone. Surely its staggering lack of features should prevent it from being categorised as such?!

    Love your blogs tho!

  • Well, technically, yes. But it's only going to take a firmware update over-the-air from Apple and it'll be right up there in every respect. And the iPhone's a special case! 8-)

  • is there really a touchscreen n95?

what phones carry the windows mobile 6? does the sprint mogul carry it? i live outside the us can i still use the mogul with other ntworks?

    thnks fr ur reply

    good work on ur show...

  • Great episode agen.

  • right...

  • E90 should have been 2 or 1, I wouldn't have called foul! So how many versions of the N95 are there going to be? The original, flawed N95, the US 3g model, the 8gb black, and one more right?

  • Great Show!! I wouldn't mind seeing this in a regular basis. Keep it going.

  • Er.... I've been going already for 42 shows - it's already pretty regular 8-)

  • Yeah thanks. I realised that shortly afer and I am now a subscriber.

  • Nice show!

  • Oh, also check out adobe premiere, can be a pain sometimes with different formats, but once you get it to comply it is very cool.

  • Good job steve, looking forward to the reviews of those new nokias, as well as that LG.

  • I suppose iMovie is out of the equation. I used it to make movies from clips from my Canon Camera, and it seemed OK.

  • Maybe the 06 version, but the new version is very 'noddy'.

  • Great show agen!

  • Great show as usual Steve. Keep up the good work though I wish the E90 was a bit higher up your list ;)

  • I do have to say that the use of touchscreens on mobile devices is more of a curse than a blessing. To me, they are more suited for desktops, where you are stationary and don't have to hold the device in your bare hands. The D-Pad is getting pretty old... and after using a Blackberry Curve for a while, I don't see why more mobile phones don't come integrated with these instead of the outdated four-way toggle.

  • Great podcast Mr. Litchfield, been watching since episode 1. I received my E90 about 3 weeks ago and I have got say it is a wonderful device. It's an essential part of my school and don't know what I would do without it.

  • I like the top five section steve.

  • hahaha hotblack desiatos stuntship. hes being dead for a year for tax reasons

  • How about virtualdub?

  • I tried that ages ago, just too fiddly!!!

  • Virtualdub doesn't really *edit*, its more of a tool.

  • I dont no where ratoiu2000 got the idea that MP4 worked with Windows Movie Maker you cant even import them let alone edit them

  • Believe it or not, I always edited my videos on the N70 while I had it. That editor was pretty good. Anyway, you can use the Windows Movie Maker from Win XP. I used to make movies from images (Power Point like) with effects, sound clips etc. For the SS it will be good enough. If you don't want to have the clip in wmv format, convert it with Super in any other format you want, using any codec which you prefer.

    ratza from AAS

  • Yes, but does it handle MP4 input files? Keeping quality up by avoiding multiple re-encoding is important.

  • It should work with any format if you have the K-Lite codec pack installed. I never tried it with mp4 because I just encode my videos in DivX with super and then burn a CD with them, but it worked great with 3gp files. Give it a try with some random mp4 and see what you can get. It sould be bundled with XP.
