  • i love this track off the koln concert album and it is amazing to hear it this way

  • after listening to Jarrett's Koln Concert for more than 300 times, I must say you play it perfectly and beautifully!!

  • Amazing man!! Congrats!

  • Needs more finesse & polish, not bad...

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! FANTASTIC!

  • Wonderful transcription.

It sounds like it was originally composed for guitar.

    Well done "Master Kline"!

  • Glad you didn't do this mistake to name this piece "memorries of tomorrow" or any other retarded name. There is no name appropriate enough to name beauty of his compositions...Great musicianship here, keep it up! Btw im not fan of covering Koln Concert but this is one of the greatest i've ever heard and you have this special sense of what Keith wanted to tell us through his music...This mellow tone and all that... I really appreciate.

  • I was just listening to the koln concert and which bit is this? It sounds nothing like any of it...

  • @KingOfSchmucks part 4

  • great playing and arranging but tune those damn low strings!\

    maybe its he recording...

  • damn how many strings on that thing man?

  • This piece should be taken as an alltime famous composition beside Fur Elise,Moonlight Sonata etc.

    More than beautiful

  • @Mablungx

Für Elise, Moonlight Sonata ?! You haven' t come a long way!

  • ...so beatiful,

the piece, the trascription and the interpretation...

  • such wonderful talent on display here.

  • You clearly have never tried to do something like this

  • This is so hard to play... not many can do this. Especially this fluent...

  • My little secret; much easier with the extra strings! James Kline

  • WOW AWESOME!!! I'm new to Keith Jarretts pieces and this is a awesome cover!

  • great job...awesome !

  • BRAVO

  • IN CRE DI BLE

Perhaps he lost a bit the tempo comparing with the Koln Concert, but it was an incredible perfomance.

Don't know much more about musical apreciation.

    Anyway, congratulations!

    Greetings from Argentina

    Maximiliano

  • beautiful!!!

  • Thank you !

  • the keith it's only one,complimenti,mah!

  • lovely. havne't heard Jarrett play this in a long while. Does his time "move around" that much or is that your interpretation?

  • Thank you for comment professor. Good observation on the "moving time". This video was made some years back when I was just begining to experiment with other styles. If I had it to do over, I would keep a much more stable tempo. All the best, James Kline

  • Good

  • Great performance xD

I would love to hear Pat Metheny Group play this melody...

  • Awesome.

  • Awsome a great peice and you have deffinatly done it justice in my opinion!

  • muy bueno very good!!!

  • 何回見てもすげーーーー!!!

    keith jarrettの音楽をギターでここまで表現できるとわ。。。

  • verry nice ...great arrangement

  • nice, that must have been tough

The melody doesn't really come out enough though..IMO!

  • Nothing tough or hardcore, I'm not into gymnastics. The arrangement is taylor made to suit me, it's always a pleasure to play this wonderful music.

  • You are hardcore! Amazing.

  • Waww!

Fantastic. Tis is very goog playing, technich and guitar. I have never heard like this.

    Thank you!

  • That's beautiful and very sensitive. I'm impressed !

  • This is probably one of the top five most musical interpretations on Youtube. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  • Thank you for your kind words of encouragemnt.I've always been inspired by Jarret's music and had fun making the arrangement. James Kline

  • Very kind of you to write your comment. There are so many postings on Youtube. I would say that James Kline is a very musical player. He has told me that he doesn't have the "chops" that Barrueco has. but man he is musical!

  • ooooops! sorry! maybe was too late when i wrote that! :\

  • nobody tells that this is not koln concert... it's my song.. wrong title! good performance though..

  • what? this is the fourth "movement" of the famous Köln Concert. unless you´re kidding of course...?

  • Great musician you are !

    Do you also compose ?

  • James is also a composer of music. He has his own postings on YouTube.

  • Why?

  • i think i just creamed my pants

  • OOOH MY GOD! If jarrett was god, you were jesus, my friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • definitely one of the BEST performances i ever experienced on the net. much admiration for your beautiful and touching playing.

  • Wow amazing rendition, you are a true artist, smooth voice too :D

    peace

  • Thanks! Superb!

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Wow! Never imagined it. Great work.

  • it is soo butifull, love it..Great work, and you bring pleasure to all of us, KJ lovers

  • Interessante Interpretation

  • beautiful; a real master of art

  • very nice, thank you.

  • Well done. Your interpretation is very original.

  • I was surprised to hear the radio-guy type voice at the end =)

  • Yes, sorry about that... this is from a public access TV I had 10 years ago (before YouTube)and I used to do voice-over at the end of the show to thank guests and so on.

  • Oh don't get me wrong I love those radio voices. I was merely surprised to hear it there, 't was unexpected.

Beautiful guitar playing by him though, for sure. Beautiful variation of the KC.

  • I'm stunned, tough task to take on this, yet, very driven, a bit wild at times, maybe tone it down a little, stay above and on top of it, but you're class, anyway great work!

  • James can be reached at elevenstrings dot com.

  • Bravo! If Jarrett is the God, you are the prophet! Thank You!!!!

  • Bravo, magnifique !

    que du bonheur!!

    Great, merveillous !

    only happiness !!

    THANK YOU!

    Béatrice Chevalier Dunkerque, France

  • wonderful to listen to. if you like the instrument you should try blanchette & michelini

  • James also arranged Maurice Ravel's "Pavane for a dead

princess" for the 11 string guitar & it's absolutely

    priceless!

  • So, you know him, please What's his second name, and professionnel adress?

    thank you

  • koln concert is probably the illest solo piano album of all time but this version is pretty damn cool

  • well high end

  • Great!!

  • Cozy music! Very well played. Thank you.

  • Simply beautiful!

    Wonderful playing!
