  • Wow, you've got a lot of crap in your laptop

  • Ha ha ha! Very annoying loud music and really silly content. I am sure you put this video here to make fun of people who make videos like this.

  • I have the exact same problem!

  • Hello i got some other problems with my laptop. When ever i turn it on it just starts to make a fucked up noise and i dont know what to do. I've used an vaccum cleaner to get the dust away. What i did was that i made my laptop upside down and began to use the vaccum cleaner. After that nothing helped. I dare not to open the laptop cuz i'am probaly going to do something fucked up. Please help me!

  • hey man is it a new laptop which you got in your video

  • this looks tutorial less and move more

  • @abdur50 what??

  • @seanobi777 my mean is your action in your tutorial were suburb and nice to understand

  • @abdur50 oh ok :)

  • @moblaman

Maybe your "15 years of computing" (jokes) Have you ever considered that out of you "15years" that you might happen to have these things call Anti-Static Vacuums? Its a spectacular invention. And I like how your telling me I'm wrong yet companies make lets see, anti-static wrist straps, anti-static mats in all sizes, anti-static bags, anti- static vacuums. Yet you say that a normal house hold vacuum that if you look up anywhere on a REAL computer site, its 100% wrong what you do.

  • what is the that thing u use to suck up the dust

  • @BlueNinja1212 he used an ordinary vacuum cleaner lol

  • is it possible to shoot compressed air through the little vents on the outside/case instead of opening up the laptop? I tried it and im scared as hell to remove my keyboard since the last time i tried it, my keyboard wouldnt work.

  • @xmasterx451 When you remove the keyboard, lift it up CAREFULLY and try not to pull too hard so that the cable connected to the keyboard doesn't rip or something, I just did that to mine, apparently, I don't have the spray thing so I can blow away the dust in my fans.

  • takes too long to load

  • dont use a vacuum cleaner, it can cause static! use compressed air

  • The best you can do is to use Air Compressor and clean those dusts away. Isn't recomended to use vacuum cleaner, because can damage the components inside the laptop!

  • This is about the funniest thing I've seen in a long time...

If anyone is stupid enough to use a vacuum cleaner to clean your computer in anyway you'll be lucky if your computer would start up. A computer and the components inside the computer are weak or can take serious damage from static electricity. A vacuum cleaner uses static electricity in order to capture and grab dust. So if your dumb enough to use this, good luck to your computer. Anyone reading this I highly suggest you don't use it..

  • @jthmaster

Have been doing this for years and know people who have also used vacuum cleaners and this includes people who work with computers for a living (Not repairing). Had absolutely no problems ever. Anything going wrong is about as theoretical as lightning striking you in the head when being outside during a lightning storm.

Sure, give me your thumbs downs, but 15 years of computing, using vacuuming every two months and countelss systems (Changes due to upgrades) speak otherwise.

  • @moblaman Actually, I can't find a single precedent online where something bad has happened when someone vacuumed their computer. If you dont start sucking on the actual fine components, nothing will ever happen.

  • @moblaman Thank you for the endorsement of vaccuum cleaners, I was unsure about that.

  • @jthmaster Seriously thank you for telling me I was gonna do that but I found out that it's dangerous.

  • @jthmaster Yeah, but he vacuumed the components that cannot be damaged with a vacuum cleaner. Those components don't have some wires or anything that can be damaged easily, so it's safe. Don't try to be smart.

  • @jthmaster done this plenty of times with many laptops. A heat sink and a fan are not going to get damaged by static.

  • vacuum cleaner.. seriously?

if you're gonna expose the guts of your laptop for a thorough clean you may aswell buy yourself a can of compressed air and dust bust every nook and cranny

  • Times like this I wish I had a fucking screwdriver.

  • @Dan73J yeh makes sense

  • @Dan73J yeh haha i just don't wanna open up my laptop :P im always clumsy with stuff

  • 2:14

  • Could a dusty laptop make the performance worse like fps in games and freeze up out of no where?

  • @Hardsacker Yes! That is the very reason on why Im watching this video. Trying to figure out how to rid of the dust.

  • @Hardsacker Yes it can easily be done.....I had the same problem with COD4.....A vouuuuuuuuuuuuuu from my laptop and freaking drop fps from 200 to 10-20 i cleaned it (you can not imagine how dust is over there) and then it whole fixed

  • cool vdeo, yup, i found bigger amt of dust inside my lappi,

  • The music is so loud and annoying this is almost impossible to watch. And Ikizami is right about static electricity. Better use compressed air. Thumbs down.

  • Only problem I have with this video is using the vacuum cleaner. It can cause static and potentially fry your entire computer. Instead, use a can of compressed air, or something similar to blow the dust out and away from the laptop. Aside from that, good video.

  • Excellent! Does every laptop have a heat sink? Going to open my asus gaming computer. It is 3-4 years old and gets very hot and I think it is accumulation of dust that does it.

  • dude you helped me a lot thanks man !!!! :)

  • Um I'm not a guy that knows alot about computers, so i don't know where the heat sync is

  • fuck me where u been keeping that? between ur mothers legs?

  • do i have to take it apart and vacum or can i just vaccum when its together

  • A few pubes in there with the dust as well i notice!

  • i don't got the balls to open up my laptop.

  • @ao2579 I used to be scared to do it too, but when I couldn't play MW2 for more than 10 minutes without it crashing I got pissed and did it aniway. Now I've taken it apart twice already and put it back together, and it totally fixed the overheating issues that happen over time.

  • good for you. I got HP. ...

  • Fun and informative video, hahah good one mate!

  • Thankyou SO much!! Was wondering why our laptop kept shutting down... Now I can check this :)

  • OMFG NEVER TRY TO BLOW INSIDE YOUR LAPTOP XD

I didn't have any time/equipment for cleaning my laptop, and I thought: "Brilliant idea, if pressure-air can clean up computer, why i just can't blow inside it while it's been on for several hours :D"

    Well, it blew back

  • My laptop does this to but only if its on a bed or on my lap it will overheat but its not to dusty inside

  • do anyone here know how to clean a Dell XPS M1730? ... i can't get to the fans :(

  • @Lo0pZor take ur vacuum cleaner and take a loooooong round around the fan... thats atleast what i so since im too scared to open my laptop =P and it did work for me..... think i got out a ball of dust the size of a baseball XD

  • Trust me everyone opening up your laptop and removing dust is not hard, you just have to know which parts to open up. Watch the video on my channel...it explains it well

  • hope dis work!! my father is an expert on comp but nvr tot of vacuumin it XD lol,he is bad in housecleaning ,LOL

  • First of all NEVER YOU AN FACUUM CLEANER TO CLEAN YOUR PC NOR AN LAPTOP THIS CAN CREATE AN MAGNETIC FIELD USE AN PUMP FOR AN BISICLE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

  • @DjReady93 The strange attraction you have to using the vacuum cleaner to pleasure yourself isn't a real magnetic field. And, truthfully, the lamp you have sitting on your desk next to your laptop generates a stronger magnetic field than a vacuum several feet (or meters) away.

  • @DjReady93 True. Use something else.

  • ty 5/5

  • DEAR PEOPLE WHO ARE AFRAID TO OPEN THEIR LAPTOPS, there are usually sections of your laptop that are user serviceable, these include around the RAM and HDD, some laptops even include the CPU in this area, you will not void your warranty if you are gently and careful just make sure you plug everything back in where it came from when you're done and it'll be fine

  • my mom would KILL me if even TRIED to open it up. if broke anything she beat the fuck out of me and make my life miserable for about a month, so im not taking any chances.

  • Nice...but you have to remove the screws of your Heatsink diagonal!!!

  • ......or you can just use compressed air & Save yourself a shit ton of time, effort & not void your warranty....

  • wont the vacuum cause static?

  • ooh the dusts looks like a nice soft pillow!

  • come on hurry up before my laptop turns off again

  • Hey Man it works but what are u using to take the dust out?

I am using that air thing that pulls air out

  • Vacuum cleaner is very bad idea 'cause of static electricity that can ruin your computer faster than any dust... canned air is much better idea :)

  • God so much dust out there.

  • my laptop turned off while watching this

  • @balboamick roflol

  • @DareonNXbox hehe

  • @balboamick OWNED!!! roflololol xDXDXD XD XD xD Dx Dx Dx Dx Dx

    Dx D-X

  • im also facing problems with my laptop Insys M66SRU

The laptop completly freezes and im forced to shutdown in the powerbutton or then it just turns it off, on his own like this one from the video..

Also sometimes i cant run it, it wont run well and the screen remains black when i try to turn it on..

i wonder if it can be the dust, i cleaned it.. but i didnt well, i will try it again i just not sure of how to remove the fan from it =) ill try it tomorrow and if i can fix my pc, i´ll film it

  • i use my middle finger to clean dust from laptop of mine..

  • I watched this video on my laptop while cleaning it! ikr?

  • when i m playing cod on my laptop it turns off by itself

    whyyy!

  • @blackdragon3284 i dont know... too bad theres no toturials on youtube, what a shame..

  • I like this video :D

  • @ShadowedSoldiers ooo combat arms i use to play that but i got tired of standing in the window to get a signal lol i cant wait to get my own connection. i think im gonna go with a 4g usb adapter

  • @ShadowedSoldiers lol i had the same problem on my old pc its probobly because your cpu is dusty or your laptop doesent have thermal paste

  • Can you use an Air brush can? to blow it out? and then vaccume over it? I have a dell inspiron 9400 i want to clean it regularly or monthly so it doesnt corrupt or so, do u know a specific website on how i can get it cleaned up? and with a good method of not breaking ruining any of the components?

  • on ur home computer tower do not use a vaculm or compressor a pc technision told me it can loosen wires u wanna know how he cleaned ours with ? a leave blower no joke he said its a trade secret because the air is spread out more evenly it wont hurt a computer but must stand back about a meter i was amazed when he did it we always use to use a vaculm and didnt fix much after he did that our computer ran like a dream....!!!!!

  • @nicko198718 Pc technicians lie!!! i would know, I am one.... well not yet anyway... but i would suguest, to use a vaccume hose to suck in all that dusk but use an airesal can, (or however its spelled) to stir it up and knock it off of your components. and again, use the vaccume to suck it up.

  • @ilikesmods I have a toshiba laptop sattelite it keeps on freezing I formatted my pc last night but it is still freezing I have not dusted my Pc since I bought it I believe 2006 I am ordering extra ram also. Can I use a home vacume to clean it? I would really appraciate your response. Thanks

  • @sarahata22 - a vacuum is a good idea, but a lot of people use compressed cans of air. I may try using that, but i'm not taking my laptop apart. i may try a vacuum first :) thanks for the idea!

  • after am done watching this am going to look for that song idk y but i kinda like the song then am going to try an open up my laptop :)

  • i just wish iu had the guts sto open up my lptop by myself

  • @useurcamera i would open mine but parents wont let me :O

  • @DareonNXbox me too, but even if i did i might break something and my parents would kill me D: and my games would be gone

  • @useurcamera pshh my parents are scaryed opops scared* of me getting eletricuted adn stuff plus they dont even know waht im tlakiong about and dont belive me.... :O ive told them how hot it gets and even showed them :O they think its cuz ive had it on for ever and ive only had it on for like 6 mins and my motherbaords alrady at like 115 and sometimes starts at 138 which is e=very nbad and my processor is theonly thing that never overheated......... and i think my gpu didnt also..hardrive did :O

  • @useurcamera I opened up my Alienware ^^

  • @useurcamera u got that right sir c:

  • @useurcamera Same here. I just take a vacuum and suck the shit and dust out from the outside. This probably doesnt get all of it out but it immediately made my computer run much cooler and faster, and wouldnt be hard to do again if needed.

  • @useurcamera I opened mine up halfway, and chickened out.. LOL . Too many screws, i swear when i saw that mothe board, i almost freaked out. I wish my computer was as simple to open as his. I had to remove my keyboard, top cover and bottom cover, then pull the mother board out then , i can get access to my fan.

  • You need to buy a laptop COOLER assembly (a device which we can place below our laptop to cool down the mother board/circuit)

  • @ShadowedSoldiers i got the same problem (gta 4) but my laptop does NOT restart, it just shut down :s anybody help!!!!!!!

  • @the0pc0helper well theres no toturials on youtube how to clean dust so theres noone that can help.

  • my laptop hasnt been cleaned since it was out of the box! (5 years ago) but not much dust inside WOW!

  • i need a screw driver lol

  • If you dont have a can of compressed air, just use your lungs and a straw to concentrate where you blow. A slimmer straw means a more powerful gust of wind the harder you blow into it, so try using a straw slimmer than a normal drinking straw, although it will still probably get the job done either way.

  • @jordan3649 OR A HEAVY DUTY VACCUUUUUUUUUM... unless your laptop is very very fragile.

  • dust looks yummy ^^

  • @RIPMJ100

    rofl xD

    This helps me!

  • @RIPMJ100 I heard it's low in fat :$

  • @RIPMJ100 then eat it !!

  • i got the same laptop and havent cleaned it in 4 years. i think its time

  • @kristjan117 // 4 years?? i think you need a new one :)

  • why did you remove the dust filter nowits going to get alle glocked up with dust :P

  • im pretty sure that was a giant wad of dust...

  • @novofirst ya that was a dust clog. it happens a lot its like insulacion holding the heat pressed agenst the heat sink.

  • i know it was a sarcastic coment

  • is their any other way other than compresed air i can't get near it or use it.

  • @damon90x a vaccume works alot better than compressed air because it sucks it out of ports and things wal a caster of air just blows it around.

  • You should not use vacuum. Use compressed air cans and you should also change the thermal compound on the heatsink and the CPU.

  • Don't use vacuum cleaners on fans, use compressed air because the vacuum cleaner will still leave a lot of dust.

  • thanks a lot.. really helpful. i dont want to bring it to the service centre coz it takes time. i wanna do it myself.

  • thx, comp used to turn off in the middle of cod games and sometimes browser games, thanks for helpin me out :D

  • Music sucks sooooooo much . Although video helpful.

  • I meant use canned air.

  • @WorldWarcraft222222 Use compressed air, by all means.

  • my computer lag when it overheat and it makes a noisy sound,..,,.

  • nice video imma try it hope it works...lol my comps is overheating as i type this

  • wat song did u use in this video..nice..maybe i shud vacuum my laptop too xd

  • lmfao, wdf

  • Wow. Not a smart idea to take the computer apart unless you REALLY do know what you're doing.

  • What screwdriver did you use?

  • very good

  • Same problems here. Thanks, will try now!

  • thnx...

  • i guess time to take the dust out ty man

  • great video but about the vacuum cleaner

some electronics gets hurt from the vacuum

  • Great vid man..nice job. Thank you for giving me the guts to finally do this.

  • fuck yea man, i had the guts to do it thanks to this vid, and my computers clean again!

  • very nice video ... dont no if thats my problem with heating or not but I am also to much of a wuss to unscrew it myself... but thanks so much for the video very educational :)

  • Hmmm wounder if this will work for my problem??? Whenever I play ARMA 2... Its fine for about an hour but after that my framerate just drops really bad... I think it might be to do sommit with over heating.

  • tq verry much for sharing

  • That's a lot of dust...

  • Thanks 4 the vid. Would try that approach but one of the screws on the bottom of my laptop's broken...cant get it open if my life depended on it.

  • Super glue a phillips screwdriv``..way up, I just clocked your name..LOL

  • muy buen video...five stars fot you..!

  • tnxzz 4 sharing..

  • Im Pretty Damn sure thats why my laptops heating up, but im too much of a wuss to do this without someone else who knows put back together just in case i screw up

  • Recored the reassembly of your computer. So you will have no trouble putting it back together.

  • well..... i would like to do this too but... there is a sticker over the screws saying warranty is void of seal is damaged. hmmmm how do i clean the inside if i cant remove the screws without voiding my warranty

  • Take the laptop back and get your money back because it's overheating or let the company clean it for free. ;)

  • took me like an hour to clean it out because of how it works.. i figered out your not suppose to take off the screwes

  • Comment removed

  • couldnt you just put the vacuum on the fan and let that pick up all the dust? or wouldnt it work?

  • Good idea I'm waiting for an answer too....

  • dust = heat so heat is your enemy/. My laptop runs cool at 45C constantly my gpu is usualy at 50. i blow my notebook with a compressed air can at least once a week. it helps. Also i went to my pc with this. almost 30 ounces of dust came blowing out of my cpu! it was at constantly 50 now its down to a chilly 16C i love my pc:D

  • only for large size laptop

  • HELP MY LAPTOP temp is normally at

70c and my HDD is at 45 c DO you Recommend me doing it this??

  • does your computer tend to turn off? randomly?

    if so do it

  • wtf theres hair in the dust? LOL

  • the fan of my laptop just does not even work: it does not make any sound... it overheats every 5 minutes! getting fixed :)...

  • my laptop is verging on being too hot to touch at times, thankfully getting fixed.

  • thank you

  • dust is your computer's enemy! LOL that was funny

  • thanks for the vid

  • Mortal Kombat!!! lol

  • is there a fan in laptops?

  • yeah

  • of course there needs to be a fan you insane??

  • mine had the same problem running at 80c now i cleand that and its at 44 even running games it goes to 60 c

  • Never, use a hoover on computer components, the static can reck them, particularly ram... But its okay to do it on fans and stuff...

  • Was about to say that then i read ur comment this guy is right !!!

  • Temps before and after?

  • song?

  • thanks for this. i've had my dell inspiron 1525 for a year now and the fan is makin noise. and now it shuts off when its doing alot of processing. so i needed to know how to take the fan out. nice vid!

  • Paully, sorry for this but I have a 1525 inspiron too and I've had mine a year my fan has just died and I need to clean it.... what screws to I take out? bottom ones? or is the heat sink under the keyboard?

  • Hate to say it, but after I did this, my computer kept shutting down after starting up, making it impossible to make it to the home screen. So I don't recommend doing this. Get professional help if you need help for overheating problems.

  • I suggest to look if any cable has gone in between the fan making it impossible for it to swing around.

  • It's already ruined so I am not going to tamper with it and make it worse. So I am off to get a new one.

  • Never mind, I sent it to the repairs. I still do not recommend anyone doing this if you don't know what you are doing.

  • nice, very helpful

  • This is EXACTLY the problem I am having right now with my laptop! And I haven't dusted my laptop in ages, so this could be why, I will check it now! No wonder I could not save any videos or play online games!

  • It's been happening alot since my mom used it on her bed, you know, it sucked up all that stuff in the fabric (little dust things, I guess). She never listened though -_-

  • Mine does that too... A year back, it got black screened for no real aparent reason, but that stopped after a month or two. Now, the problem is that it heats up and shuts down, which is good on the computer's part... Don't want it to break permanently. Anyways, you guys with this problem should go to Staples, as they have this FREE PC Tune Up service. I'll be taking my 1-year old laptop there soon.

  • Nice vid, Its something I should try but Im afraid ill damage the components or not be able to put them back in correctly :P

  • thanx for this! perfect presentation. i imediatly performed this operation and pulled a nice chunk of dust out. thank you

  • can you use compressed air

  • yes, you can.. just hold the fan still.. if it starts spining faster than it is supposed to it may get damaged..
