What happened here was Bruce needed some recognition from the racefans because he was hungry for a win; by crashing onto the Dodge, Bruce not only got what he asked for...He also had a better view of the applause from his fans. At LACRI once fell asleep at the line .235 rt and at about 700' out the left lane driver lost traction because of a sandy track and came sideways in front of me. If I was on the tree I know he would have t-boned me too. It's true: things happen for a reason. I was asleep on the line and it may have saved me a nasty crash.

these are not dragsters cartitans, the difference being that dragsters hit 320+ and thesde pro stocks are not nitro but alcohol burning and go just a touch over 200mph. There are far worse crashes also than this, and Bruce Alllen survived this crash without life threatening injuries too.
