OHMYGOD ! This just deleted my cyndaquil ! Ive been playing for HOURS to complete that pokedex ! F*** Game Freak !!!!

Sometimes little glitches happen like walking through rocks or teleporting into a wall, but this is a huge, gaping hole in the game's programming. I think this glitch was planted on purpose. Especially since the girl outside the battle tower says "There's something special about it."

lol people i just got it. you have to restart/turn off then turn on the game when the lady asks "would you like to save the game" NOT "saving dont turn off the power...". once you have done this once, take the items from the pc pokemon you are multiplying and then delete them from your pc. then go to link multi lady and turn off when she asks you to save.

Just to let everyone know, make sure you DON'T switch off until "Would you like to save the game?" begins to appear. I switched off before, on the 2 second delay screen - TWICE - and nearly pissed myself when I saw that the game data was corrupted. (Fortunately the game loaded the last saved game so it was all good.)

EVERYONE!!! This glitch does work and it is fair since it technically is part of the game. Before doing this glitch with your prize pkmn, do it with crappy ones you dont care about until you get the hang of it as you'll probably screw it up the first few times (even though its a really easy glitch)

I've used this glitch so much - I cloned my Mew that I got from the Toys R Us Mew event, and now I have a team of Mews that I beat the Elite Four with again and again and they're level 60. Too bad I can't trade any Pokemon with items to Black and White, there goes my potential to use my cloned Master Balls/Rare Candies/Nuggets. Then again, I can use all that money to gain those stat power-ups, then trade them over. :)

If the box isn't empty when you insert the Pokemon, then make sure you don't replace the pokemon with an older pokemon's position - I lost an Alakazam to an Electrike once.

You can also clone by the boxfulls!!!

1. go to the pc at the battle tower (must have emerald)

2. go to the box of the pokemon that you want to clone and log out and save

3. got to that same box and change the places of the pokemon that you want to clone so that this way you can move EVERY pokemon that you have by moving them into your pc or a diffrerent box so you can clone by the boxfulls instead of constantly risking all your data if you keep doing it so this way is more efective and safer

This will cause the item that you give the pokemon to be cloned too but to get alot of the items this can risk the game data and there is a way to clone the items without the pokemon here

1. give the items that you want to clone to a random pokemon

2. save at the pc

5."We require you to save the game" click YES

6.when it tells you to overwrite your game data click NO

@glitchman161 Yep. I copied Pokemon with master balls (I have 16 as of the making of this comment) so I don't have to worry about taking forever on legendaries in Pearl. I'm also going to duplicate some TMs like Toxic, Overheat, Substitute (if I can find it), Ice Beam (I hope I didn't waste it yet. I'm not sure if I even went to the ship where it is yet), Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, etc. You get my point. This exploit makes getting multiple important TMs so easy. Who says exploits are bad? :)

@justa16thnote Just so you know, Ice Beam is also found in the abandoned ship, which is a cheaper way to get it than spending the money on game coins. I know what I'm talking about. I've beaten R/S/E at least 10 times by now as well as getting ice beam from the ship. As for substitute, I was mistaken. The TM of it (TM 90) can be found in 4th gen and up. But still, I would clone it if I could :).

@TheBillerkiller1996 Probably traded from Pokemon Sapphire. The main legendary in Ruby (Groudon)/Sapphire (Kyogre) is level 45 in the cave in the city with the eighth gym. At least I know Groudon is in that cave in Ruby. In Sapphire, Kyogre might be in an underwater place but it's still level 45. I haven't played Sapphire in a while.

The glitch is simpler than what the description say: simply, when you talk to the lady, the game save your inventory/pokemons.

This is only after confirming your choice you'll save what's inside the PC, which will never occur if you reset before.

the best way to abuse it is simple, store what you want to clone inside pc. Withdraw, talk to the lady and reset, as much as you want! No need to save. ;)

You will lose your pokemon only if you do it the other way around (deposit then talk)

I discoevered something. You can clone up to 5 pokemon at a time. First, deposit 5 pokemon you want to clone. save, then withdraw. go to linking lady. choose oopen level. it will ask u to save. right when it says the thing before saving do not turn off the power, turn it off/soft reset. you can clone up to five master balls/rare candies at a time!
