Another good scene is when that let crazy Jim a loose in the psych ward. Jim tells the orderly that he want's his apple sauce back. And then he says that kidneys are a delicacy in I believe Sweden or something like that. Okay I was totally creeped out by that apple sauce statement, but it was also such a funny statement that didn't bode well for the person who ate the apple sauce. Never eat a man's apple sauce, he might just take it back. :)
I love the part where those guys are flipping from roof to roof after robbing and murdering that clerk in that store. And just as their flipping from one roof to another Castle shoots a missile and catches the one guy in the air and he blows apart. Now that was funny. I assumed that Castle was going to run after them or something like everybody does, I wasn't expecting him to shoot the guy with a missile. Now that's smart; no need to run. Shoot him with a missile and be done with it. :)
The only reason why punisher doesn't make that much is because it only appeals to a smaller audience. Iron man, Batman spiderman are not all as gruesome as Frank is. But he's still the best in my opinion.
I loved this movie. It was the closest, and most brutal adaptation of the incredible PUNISHER MAX series of comics that marvel put out a coulple of years ago. Man, if only they made some of THOSE into episodes an animated series on HBO or something, all you fruits on here screaming, "Thomas Jane! Thomas Jane!" would COMPLETELY forget his name after the first one.
I definitely agree with you. At first when I saw the preview of this movie, I thought it was going to be lame. But turns out I was mistaken. This Punisher movie beats out the Punisher with Thomas Jane as Frank Castle hands down. I loved Dolph Lundgren as the 1st punisher and now I love Ray Stevenson as the next generation punisher. I also love Thomas Jane, but he was too sweet for the role and the Punisher needed somebody hardcore and both Dolph and Ray delivered that.
@prynkya Yeah, Tom Jane had a rough job of portraying the newly-born Punisher. Pissed-off and dangerous but still vulnerable. Ray was like an experienced, extremely brutal Punisher, and Lundgren played a suicidal, on-the-edge type Frank Castle. Three different personalities.But if you go by the comic book, WAR ZONE was the only one to get his orgin right.
This movie is the shit!!! A million times better than the 2004 tom jane version. This is a REAL Punisher movie and a TRUE action movie!!!!
And Ray Stevenson is so bad-ass, Jane looked and acted like a wuss, he wasn't the tough-no fear and mercy punisher from the comics but Stevenson is!!!
They finally got a guy who looks the part for punisher, the dude in the first movie looked like some pussy ass wanker and acted like an emo for most of the movie, seriously the first punisher would not be able to scare a low level dope dealer off his corner, but this one both looks bad ass and kills people in many new and exciting ways, for once a sequel that far surpasses the original.
i though this one was pretty bad thomas jane was alot better in opinion i mean this one was not bad but they dident even give a backstory to the 2004 one they did from his family getting killed and they had alot more popular actors and the 04 one made alot more money on a lower budget this one is a major flop sorry guys but im gonna have to go with 04 one better story in my opinion
Tom Jane's was terrible. Punisher was a frigging emo in his movie. Tom Jane's punisher appeared incredibly weak and compared to his comic self..He was an embarassment. Story? Go read a punisher comic..There is no story. There's the Punisher..bad guys,and him blowing their brains out
the movie was awsome but i hate when the comic people have to rip on it and end up having the movie do bad, but i hope they make a punisher war zone 2 and people this was a remake from the thomas jane punisher in 2004. Not a perfect movie but I think this film supports the Punisher franchise better than the John Travolta movie. The chandolier scene was a little gay but an overall improvement from the last film.
This movie should have got a better opening. Sadly, it was mistimed and released in a season where Romantic Comedies or Family Entertainers rule---Holiday Season.

Watch before you slam it because it has a far deeper storyline than yu would expect. It's not the deepest out there but the story line is still excellent for the kind of movie it is. This Punisher is much more faithful to the original comic book.

If they did make a sequel to Ghost Rider, and I'm not denying or confirming it, would you want it to continue down the road it's going, with Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider, or have a reboot, another movie entirely? Personally, I feel Ghost Rider should have a little more gore and graphic violence to it. R-rated stuff.
I believe in the power of sequels. Spiderman 2,better than the 1st. Shrek 2,better than the first. Terminator 2,better than the first. I won't lie..Nic is a good actor but he'd be a better Danny Ketch than Johnny,though mostly I relate that to hair color and yes the R rating would do GR justice because in the comics it's very violent and religion heavy. Heck the video game for the ps2 was better than the movie,though "supposedly" on wikipedia the game is a sequel to the movie
The sequel, if produced, should have a higher degree of graphic violence and bloodshed than its predecessor. Afterall, the concept of a motorcycle driving daredevil that turns into a flame-headed monster when in the presence of evil, to which he is bound to a demonic entity by the Devil's right hand man, isn't exactly PG-13 material. Do you think they should stick to the comics, using villains like Scarecrow or Vengeance for a sequel, or try a swing at some original material?
They played it by the books when they did Punisher War Zone and did the punisher justice when it came to violences so I believe the same could be done about GR

Well said. Terrible movie, with a terrible plot, and terrible cliched acting. Stevenson was a damned decent Frank Castle, but the talents of Dominic West were far wasted, strutting about for an hour and a half as an older-than-time Italian stereotype. This couldn't have been worse.
The ONLY good thing about this movie was Stevenson. He must be pissed, because everyone wanted to fuck up his acting with a stupid ass cast. Maybe except that one old guy who was russian. I liked his voice.
I assume you're talking about the father of that Russian arms dealer, the one that the Punisher Task Force basically sicks on Jigsaw's "army". I don't know about you, but I found the collaboration of Irish gangsters, Yakuza and black "gankstahs" to be far fetched. These men would never work for one another, not even for money.
But yeah, Stevenson was the only good part, and he was near wasted because of the other terrible actors, and the movie in general. It was a huge disappointment.

Plot and story help the movie go along, that is, of course, for people who watch the movie for some sense of entertainment and story, and not just the special effects. Well for one, Ghost Rider was horrible. Sure, it gave the character publicity, but it was bad publicity. There is very little chance of a sequel being made, that's safe to say. It gave poor fighting sequences, and made too short an amount of work for Blackheart and his cronies. Mestistopholese hardly played a role, although he was plot essential to the comic, and they had an amount of material in one movie that could have been used in two. It WAS a bad movie. It doesn't take a teen to know that.

I looked on IMDB, and they claim it to be coming out in 2011, but they also claimed that Dare Devil 2 was coming out in 2008. They put rumors up all the time. Another HORRIBLE script! The thugs are so non-threatening combined with horrible acting and lines. It's appalling nobody can put together a full package yet. The concept was there, and it was a better attempt then the other, but it just still plain SUCKS!

The Thomas Jane movie was better just as a movie, but THIS movie was for the Punisher fans. Not just because of the violence, but the characters also. This the Punisher I know from the comics.
This film is alot different to the first but the first really wasn't what the punisher was all about. It's a shame that the first one got more kudos when War Zone is really what the Punisher is all about, kicking ass in a piroquette of blood and guts.

The Thomas Jane one is good and all but I enjoyed this one a lot more because of all the violent and brutal murders which makes this movie a lot more exciting and interesting to watch.

other than cool headshots every 6 seconds..this movie was horrible so many bad scenes...jigsaw was to much of a heath ledger knock of and that scene where the meth head urbing over a building gets shot mid air with a rocket just did it for me

I love the part where those guys are flipping from roof to roof after robbing and murdering that clerk in that store. And just as their flipping from one roof to another Castle shoots a missile and catches the one guy in the air and he blows apart. Now that was funny. I assumed that Castle was going to run after them or something like everybody does, I wasn't expecting him to shoot the guy with a missile. Now that's smart; no need to run. Shoot him with a missile and be done with it. :)

The only reason why punisher doesn't make that much is because it only appeals to a smaller audience. Iron man, Batman spiderman are not all as gruesome as Frank is. But he's still the best in my opinion.

I loved this movie. It was the closest, and most brutal adaptation of the incredible PUNISHER MAX series of comics that marvel put out a coulple of years ago. Man, if only they made some of THOSE into episodes an animated series on HBO or something, all you fruits on here screaming, "Thomas Jane! Thomas Jane!" would COMPLETELY forget his name after the first one.
P.s I love Thomas Jane,
but this is better than his movie.

I definitely agree with you. At first when I saw the preview of this movie, I thought it was going to be lame. But turns out I was mistaken. This Punisher movie beats out the Punisher with Thomas Jane as Frank Castle hands down. I loved Dolph Lundgren as the 1st punisher and now I love Ray Stevenson as the next generation punisher. I also love Thomas Jane, but he was too sweet for the role and the Punisher needed somebody hardcore and both Dolph and Ray delivered that.

Ray was like an experienced, extremely brutal Punisher, and Lundgren played a suicidal, on-the-edge type Frank Castle. Three different personalities.But if you go by the comic book, WAR ZONE was the only one to get his orgin right.

Not a perfect movie but I think this film supports the Punisher franchise better than the John Travolta movie. The chandolier scene was a little gay but an overall improvement from the last film.

Watch before you slam it because it has a far deeper storyline than yu would expect. It's not the deepest out there but the story line is still excellent for the kind of movie it is. This Punisher is much more faithful to the original comic book.

The sequel, if produced, should have a higher degree of graphic violence and bloodshed than its predecessor. Afterall, the concept of a motorcycle driving daredevil that turns into a flame-headed monster when in the presence of evil, to which he is bound to a demonic entity by the Devil's right hand man, isn't exactly PG-13 material. Do you think they should stick to the comics, using villains like Scarecrow or Vengeance for a sequel, or try a swing at some original material?

I assume you're talking about the father of that Russian arms dealer, the one that the Punisher Task Force basically sicks on Jigsaw's "army". I don't know about you, but I found the collaboration of Irish gangsters, Yakuza and black "gankstahs" to be far fetched. These men would never work for one another, not even for money.
But yeah, Stevenson was the only good part, and he was near wasted because of the other terrible actors, and the movie in general. It was a huge disappointment.

Funny, usually the people that watch plotless, explosion-based movies ARE the idiots. Plot and story help the movie go along, that is, of course, for people who watch the movie for some sense of entertainment and story, and not just the special effects. Well for one, Ghost Rider was horrible. Sure, it gave the character publicity, but it was bad publicity. There is very little chance of a sequel being made, that's safe to say. It gave poor fighting sequences, and made too short an amount of work for Blackheart and his cronies. Mestistopholese hardly played a role, although he was plot essential to the comic, and they had an amount of material in one movie that could have been used in two. It WAS a bad movie. It doesn't take a teen to know that.

I looked on IMDB, and they claim it to be coming out in 2011, but they also claimed that Dare Devil 2 was coming out in 2008. They put rumors up all the time. One, you began with the immaturity. Stating your opinion would have sufficed, but you finished it with the snide little remark 'Get With The Program', which was certainly unneeded.
Two, how am I the ignorant one? You're the one writing in improper English. You capitalize first letters of a name, title or of something of importance, not every single first letter of every word. Ignorance implies lack of education, ergo, you.
On that note, you forgot to capitalize the "m" in man.

The Thomas Jane movie was better just as a movie, but THIS movie was for the Punisher fans. Not just because of the violence, but the characters also. This the Punisher I know from the comics.

This film is alot different to the first but the first really wasn't what the punisher was all about. It's a shame that the first one got more kudos when War Zone is really what the Punisher is all about, kicking ass in a piroquette of blood and guts.

ok i was right, i started watching AGAIN. i know ppl that watched it and said it sucked. i last the previous movie better and that wasnt 100% but way better than this. crappy actor. wolvarine movie looks FUKIN GOOD on the PREVIEWS and really wanna want to see it for some reason and Im not a comic kind of guy . JUST the previews fukin got me. COME ON

The Thomas Jane one is good and all but I enjoyed this one a lot more because of all the violent and brutal murders which makes this movie a lot more exciting and interesting to watch.

other than cool headshots every 6 seconds..this movie was horrible so many bad scenes...jigsaw was to much of a heath ledger knock of and that scene where the meth head urbing over a building gets shot mid air with a rocket just did it for me
