  • @Beachman42 I know a weapon can be handy in a wilderness survival situation. But if you come to depend on a gun a gun will let you down. Thats why its best to learn how to survive with out it. I have a handgun in my car. I also carry a tent and a sleeping bag and full medical kit and survival kit. I also have 4 differant knives in my car. We try not to go to far from the car and if anything happens We have all we need to survive in comfort. This is a old survival kit I posted a updated one!

  • All this man wanted to do was to share his video and contents of his kit to all of you. He does not need to be told all these negative comments. He presents himself well and speaks clearly. All of us grow in knowledge everyday and we learn from our mistakes and yes sometimes they cost us dearly, but we learn. If you dont like a vid, just press the other button or say nothing at all. If you pick up only one thing that you did not know before here, you have learned something that did help you.

  • Essential: Full tang 440c knife with paracord wrap handle. More Paracord. Fishing lines + hooks (optional spinner), (rocks for weights, stick or feather for bobbers, bugs and grubs for bait). Quality poncho (US army are good), Fabric sports tape, sterile gauze, anti biotic cream (any additional meds you need). Steritabs Fire steel steel mug or small pot Optional: 10 feet of 20 Ga wire. Multi tool Axe (surprisingly worth its weight in forest survival) More paracord Bigger pot
  • this asshole IS a fuckin zombey!

  • You should watch my 5 C's of survival video... You have got priorities a bit out of whack... Think shelter, fire and hydration first... Sewing, taping, ziping, bagging, and pooping dead last...

  • @trollgoal I really dont care. This is my old survival kit video. I have a John Campbell for a survival kit lol. With John I have all I need to survive. Johns videos can be found threw my friends list check it out

  • Thanks for the vid very beneficial

  • Is he retarded? 0.o

  • watch my videos

  • What happens if you loose your little "survival" pack?? All you need is a Knife!!!

  • I carry three flares in my bag as well. Don't forget them.

  • hey should also have a full tang largh survival knife also it just makes life alot easier when it comes to building a shelter cold steel spf 15 is a good knife i recomend it but also i dont know maybe you just carry one on your belt just a suggestion tho

  • replace the E-tape with duct tape, the little bags with big bags, the sewing kit with just a button some thread and a needle, replace the razor blade with an ACCUAL knife, Add a good axe, add water pourification tablets, add a knife sharpener, take less toilet paper (how often do u have to shit) add some paracord, add a glass signal mirror (shines much farther than metal) and what are you going to fish with. add a fishing pole even just a pocket fisherman. but other than that it seems decent

  • WHERE IS YOUR KNIFE NOT A BOX CUTTER!!!

  • How does a fucking retard like this get 72000 views?

He's probably never spent more than half a day out side his basement!

  • @MrTHREEDOGKNIGHT

Yeah man it sucks that everyone can't be as awesomely cool as you!

  • Is that a carabee20 l cuz I have that bag in auscam and it looks identicle nice lite bag

  • Every survival kit needs a gun against bears and zombies :)

    suggest you buy one ^^

  • tin foil, to make a hat out of

  • Exellent..thank you

  • Did your momy pack your lunch box today? NO food + NO water = you DEAD

  • awesome kit. you have it all covered. u speak nice and clear easy to hear/make out. as a stroke survivor i dont travel as far or fast as i used to but still get out there...on foot, kayak and 4 wheeler. love the outdoors. what was name of ur opack again where did u get it? thx karen.

  • @cougarbahia The Pack is a First aid I got at walmart and I filled it up with stuff I use

  • This is one of those kits that is made to suit the owner of said kit. He's not telling you what you need, he's just tossing you some ideas, some of which are good. I'd biff a lot of the items in his kit as well as unwrap some of the others to lower the weight and pack size.

Do you use a medical kit too? If not you might want to add some first aid supplies.

  • @Controvey This is actually my old Video I posted a new video on my kit check it out and let me know what you think.

  • I'm glad you carry lots of zip ties, those fricking things can do more than you'd believe. I've trusted my life to those little plastic miracles more than once.

  • i think you'd find in a real situation that most of the stuff you had there was 'dead weight', so to speak.

yeah, you might USE a clean washcloth, but you certainly don't need it, and i wouldn't stick one in a survival kit.

    couple of things you're missing:

    - solid knife

    - three feet of braided wire (really handy)

    - small aluminium container for boiling water or cooking in.

if you were clever you could stick your kit inside the aluminium container while walking. your kit doesn't need to be big

  • @purklefluff Watch my other surviival kit Video. This video is like 2 years old. I use everything in this kit and yes I need everythng i carry. Plus a 12x12 bag isnt big It fits in my Pack with out any problems. I have started doing videos on use of all I have in the pack. Watch my video on Making cookware with wire and tin foil. So take a look let me know what you think of my updated kit

  • fuck leatherman.... gerber all the way!!!

  • @Bobbo63 Yeah Leatherman has a bad rep with me with the tips breaking off them. There so expensive yet one I had all the toold broke on them and the pliars. So I understand your feelings on them

  • great video man

  • dont pay any attention to any1 who is talking down on this good job and i will add sum of this to my kit

  • good shit man, thanks for sharing with us

  • this kit blows

  • @WAKRAPPER1 So does your mom.

  • This is such a trend in the USA right now. VERY COOL ~!!! But in reality, most of the time you would not use it. You can spend TONS of money doing this. Its fun for sure. hehehe

  • @urkingod I dont spend money on this stuff its just stuff that I found arround the house. It stuff I use in the field often. Its more of a when we need something for repair or something I have it in my pack.

  • @urkingod Its not a trend to me. I actually go out hiking and catch and photograph wildlife. And you never know what you will need. See my kits not for just survival but for anytime use. Like oh I need some wire i have it. Im not going to go all the way back for something. This kit comes in handy and Im always adding things and taking things out and not putting them back.

  • Yo man is this right outside Las Vgeas, or down by Bullhead in AZ or what? The terrain looks familiar. :)

  • @StarlightPlan It was filmed in Mayer Arizona

  • @StarlightPlan

I knew it, arizona or Southern Nevada :)

  • are you FUCKING RETARDED???

  • Well done....

  • you cant realy on technology to save your lif...

you dont realy need a GPS y not have a map and compass???

  • is this guy "Slow"?

  • Dude ur a twat how are you going to catch a big enuf meal with loo roll and a pussy fishing kit come on get realistic

  • @robinaguilar1 Well fish here can get as big as 4 feet depending on where your at or as small as 4 inches. You can catch some big fish when you have nothing but a line a hook and a worm you found. You dont need a $100.00 rod and 200.00 in tackle all you need is a worm on a hook just like they did it a long time ago. Plus here Rabbits run all over and there with in rock distance and there so much you can hunt. I should know I live here and you dont.

  • @robinaguilar1 I've pulled in 3 foot sharks with some line wrapped around a dowel. Some of the largest fish I've ever landed were done with a hand line.

Kudos to dofair for getting out there.

  • @robinaguilar1 OWNED!! HAHAHA

  • nice video great ideas for a survivsl kit one of the best ones that ive seen

  • I'll recommend a few things you need that you might not have . 550 paracord it has a million and one uses . 2 days of food and some water/water purifier . Just thought I'd give my 2 cents . 5/5 Cheers mate .

  • @c2r5i3p I have tht stuff lots of stuff I forgot to mention. I will be redoing my kit shortly

  • Can't wait . Keep posting .

  • Good work Dofair. Is little but big survival kit! Thank from Italy. Sorry for my english! Stefano.

  • great video man! 5 stars! lol - why did you take the matches out...? me thinks there are a few items in your kit you are not telling us about. :)

  • @solinoure Yeah theres many things I didnt bring up. when I reshoot the video I will explain more items

  • there are no need for toilet paper if there are trees around :D

  • @pipasasas U try wiping with scrub oak or cactus patels. Your a real man when you use cactus lol. no leaves are big enough to use in desert area.

  • @dofair oh im just jocking great video

  • @pipasasas I know I was joking as well. there are trees here but not all over. some leaves are the size of dimes.

  • one word.....splinters lol :] jk i kniw wat u mean, but....no dont do that

  • nice kit. i like to carry a cheap small tarp as well as my poncho. four tent pegs dont weigh much. 3 FIRE METHODS. cheap folding saw is so much better than a wire saw. monofil snares will leave you hungry, get some wire. para cord is an absolute must have. and always always something to boil water in. see you in 2013.

  • geez I thought I was the only one who packs zip ties

  • Water purification agent, or a vessel to boil water in would seem essential. Good post avair12

  • nice start. I think if you went into the woods for a few days with only this kit, you would find most items of no use to you. the fishing kit and the letherman are the only things you sould keep. Just my 2 cents. always take the kit into a simulated situation to see if it works.

  • @avair12 Yah thats what i do i go camping with my BOB but i guess at that point its just backpacking then i make a lis tof something i forgot or something i should include as well as things to leave behind

  • I can tell a lot of thought went into your bag. Good vid!

  • Hey what about toilet paper ---? You know those Bounty Rolls Paper towels 12 from BJs wholesle last forever OOOUUUCCHH!

  • Toilet paper can be used for both cleaning your but and lighting a fire! XD

  • @Liuss1337 You gotta be kidding---I light fires faster than NASA....You are talking to the master of PYRO..I don't need toilet paper to start any fire..In desert where you are at obviously no fuel there so Brush weed will do in bundles not open bundles. Why bundles compact fuel..

  • @deltaalpha21074

I disagree. If you had nothing else toilet paper would still work to start a fire. Then again what do I know? Haha Master of PYRO, nice I like it

  • i ahve a wooden survival knife

  • he need a watch and a map

  • he says the most important alot

  • 0:19 we heard you like surviving so we put a kit in your kit so you can survive while you survive

  • woops... and a fixed blade knife

  • hi dofair, good vid! what pack are you carying... also just to share oppinions,,

MY SURVIVAL PACK SHELTER: tent/tarp poncho, space blanket, rope, hatchet/saw. FIRE: firesteel, matches, lighter, tinder. WATER: bladder, canteen, filter, idoine tabs, metal cup. FOOD: twine/wire, cook-pot, bow/arrows, eat utensils SIGNALING: mirror, flare gun, PLB, whistle NAVIGATION: GPS, compass, maps, paper/pen FIRST AID: first aid kit, then obviously toiletries, and spare clothes... good vid 5/5

  • he likes his bagys and sipties!

  • cumpes or gps

  • Comfort Shelter FIRE/Warmth Water Health Food Signal First Aid Sanitation Location Orientation Direction Travel Defense Cash/Coin
  • thanks for the idea on the ties, I could think of many reasons to use them including using them as handcuffs to subdue someone, but dude wheres your duct tape?

  • the best thing to carry with you is a good size fix blade knife, some sort of twin like braided line, something to start a fire with and thats about it you can make a bowl out of wood for boiling water so that is easy get food by setting snares build a shelter and fire for warmth and use fire for signal thats about all, you should also carry needle and thread just in case you get cut.

  • you need a suture for if you get cut. once i got nine stitches and took them out after a week with nail clippers. a few days later the cut opened up again. i tried to use a needle and fishing line, but the needle was too thick. they need to be very tiny and very sharp, like the ones in a suture

  • I appreciate the vid. I would certainly appreciate all of that stuff if was out there. Have to agree, the largest knife I could have in the pack might be the most valuable tool. a good survival knife would do a lot of things. That multi tool is cool for working on a car but not building a shelter or making a spear. Good knife and a space blanket. ....and a cell phone.

  • i suppose its decent for how compact the kit actually is, i just dont understand why people travel without a decent survival fixed blade knife, that multi-tool will not serve the survival knife function for... making fires, building shelters, there really is no excuse not to carry one...no way to boil water? i suppose you could use tinfoil but ud just be punishing youself for bringing garbage and not useful tools, most of these kits just contain dispensible garbage if you really pay attention

  • On a fun note....What happens if your gps fails from an unexpected drop or the batteries fail? Compass+Sun+general area knowledge= Survival.

Dont carry more than you need :)

  • For one I never get lost. And the GPS has been dropped many times there built tuff. The area is so littered with landmarks you can find your way back with out any problems. Common knowledge if you follow a stream down river to get back follow the stream back up. Same with other things. If your parked next to a huge mountain walk tords it. Its pretty hard to get lost here. We hike at night in forrests and still find the car. Its all about landmarks and most areas we have never been to.

  • i dont need friends on you tube i have real friends not just because they feel sorry for my lame video

  • Its ok not to have friends! What lame video of yours are you talking about? And why do people feel sorry for you?

  • Great video David !

  • Add some iodine to that kit for purifying water and cleansing wounds!

  • cool

  • great vid. thanks

  • Good video thanks man.

  • For all of you presently homeless and soon to be homeless, that space blanket might be handy to block out thermol detection the police use in helicopters these days. Originally that was designed to find houses growing weed, it's recently been converted to find people with no home.

  • @TyrantsAREhere if they were homeless, i dont think they would have a computer with internet... god , ur a dumbass

  • lmao ahahahahah

  • yea maybe they have a library card lmao

  • Great vid. Good info! Thank you

  • Just need the phone......Taxiiiiii

  • Right on bro, nice kit!! You should have brought it to the gathering last weekend!!

  • I did thats where i got all my weights from for the crawldad lines. I was pulling stuff out of it as i needed it.

  • Good stuff man, wish I would have noticed, I had my kit in the truck, figured I didn't need to really haul it out.

  • We really didnt need them. It would have been cool to show them off thou. Mine needs refilled. I use it for trips and when we need something when we are out finding stuff

  • I agree we should have done a show and tell!! I need to do the same, I have used some stuff with out replacing it!! Will probably go through my kit today and make a list of what I need to replace

  • zip ties? That is a very good idea. They are compact, lightweight, unaffected by weather, can be chained together...new to this kind of outdoors survival philosophy, so this one idea made the video worth it.

  • where could i buy all of this sutff and how much will it cost

  • Really too much stuff. I might carry this in a canoe but not trekking. Also how about a water bottle, iodine, and maybe a lighter instead of that striker

  • wow that's a lot of kit, you might as well pack a portable dvd player and a copy of the wizard of oz

  • Gps does not always give accurate directions as demonstrated by the lady whose gps gave incorrect directions, resulting in her son dying in the desert. She was not prepared for desert survival. She was rescued after a week, severely dehydrated, unfortunately not in time to save her son. This happened this past summer on the west coast. Also, you could add some water purification tablets. I would add some energy bars too, cuz ya never know when food is scarce.

  • I have never had an issue with a GPS. People have issues with them because they dont know how to read them or use them. You can get lost just being a tad off course. We GPS are location at night then hike down and all over mountain, forrest area. We are always in the middle of no where and far from the car at night. These arnt mound these are vertical mountains. With out the GPS we would get lost. Knowing the GPS helps, you know where everything is and how far things are. Mine shows EVERYTHING

  • read up on those snake bite kits, I have heard they are no good.

  • all i need is a knife im a man like that lol jk nice kit though handy

  • GPS will NOT work in a SHTF operation.. look up "Selective availability" Get a compass and a Terminal area charts and other sectional aeronautical charts from a pilot shop, they have good feature presentation : )

  • My GPS works in all terrains. Deep forrest, valleys Mountains. Just like my Verizon service I get a signal everywhere. It's also a full topo map and it tells me where everything is. Like mines, valleys streams, and more. Its a great unit. I just click and go, no problem. Then I know how far I have to go and how far I have gone. We use it when we hike down mountains at night and it shows us where we are camped. Its so easy to get lost at night.

  • No doubt you have a high end receiver and are well rehearsed in it's operation. Your proficiency with it IS NOT in question, "Selective availability" was built into the NavStar (GPS) satellite constellation and is designed to prevent you from getting an accurate or useful fix (time/location) if the constellation's owners (The U.S. Government) decide they don't want you using it. It is an denial provision that will render ANY civil receiver quite useless at the flip of a switch. Take care brother

  • Hey I carry a box cutter in my kit as well its circular and flat and has 2 blades on it and but my kits not that large its like 1 of those medic kits from walmart with all the crap taken out and replaced with what i need. nice kit btw

  • The kit I use is a First aid Kit from Walmart.

  • my survival kit is a multi tool a stricker and a bird house gourd (for a primitive canteen).

  • The kit dont suck. and im not carrying way to much. You dont know me and what I do. All this stuff is used, In fact my kits almost Empty now because of how much I use the kit. Besides it fits in a tiny pack thats 12 inches long 4 inches tall. Very small pack. If you think it sucks show me your kit?

  • This kit kinda sucks dude your carrying way to much half of that stuff you can make your self witch means its not nessisary to carry all of that stuff.

  • gaara dude? If you knew anthing you would know its important to conserve your energy in a survival situation because you will be limited on food and energy. which means? of course ill let you figure it out.

  • You forgot a knife... IMPORTANT.....

  • If you go 1 minute 16 seconds into the video it says I have a box cutter knife if you go tords the end it says I have a Leatherman, Which is knife, saws, and more in one unit. Thanks

  • You need a real knife not a box cutter or a leatherman

  • A leatherman is much better. You are able to cut you have 2 differant saws, and much more, You must not have seen my K-Bar I have.

  • * Get rid of the dryer lint and put in some cotton balls soaked in Vaseline. Could also use some Wetfire tinder, which will burn even in water.

    * Eliminate duplicated items (to lessen the weight of the pack.)

    * Eliminate the smaller multi-tool.

    * Add a first aid kit.

    * Water purification tablets (at least 10).

    * Clear plastic bag for tying to a tree branch and catching condensation, which is pure water.

    (cont'd)

  • ...someone experimented and found out that tin foil these days does not even hold water. Try it yourself -- make a cup out of tin foil and add water, then wait about 5 sec.

*For carrying water, try a non-lubricated condom or a Reynolds Oven Bag & mark it at the one-liter line (for adding water tablets).

*Small candle, either a tea light or a birthday candle. (Helps maintain fire.)

*For signaling, a mirror and whistle.

    *Brass wire for snares.

    *Add a cell phone.

    *Extra batteries.

    (cont'd)

  • *That backpack bag is big enough for a small tarp to use as a shelter.

*No matches? Add those. Waterproof them yourself if you don't want to pay for them. Add a piece of the striker part on the matchbox (wooden matches) and put in a waterproof container.

*Add 50' of rope or paracord.

*Remove the bunch of little baggies, but I think you already know that.

    * If you're planning on boiling water in tin foil, don's. I saw another video on here where ... (cont'd)

  • You might want to add a survival drinking straw and something more than those tiny plastic baggies to drink out of. Also, when you say that something is "handy", please explain more specifically. Like for example, I couldn't figure out what pipe cleaners would be "handy" for.

Try out that bow saw wire. Mine broke on the first use, and I was gentle with it.

    My suggestions:

*Replace the electrical tape with duct tape.

*Replace Mylar space blanket with a space sleeping bag.

    (contd)

  • Great survival kit. Cool video

  • I think you should put a flare gun in it so people really know where you are

  • absolutely!! if you're gonna carry a large pack, why not? you can get some pepper rounds for defense

  • lol

and maybe burn down the woods ahah

  • i want to see the other kit that you mentioned at the end of the video....please put if up

  • This kit looks really cool, my kit is very simple it fits in my back pocket so i can take it everywhere with me i just have my flint, bandages, campus, a sweet, some wire and 15 water purifying tablets, all that and some other things like my mag flashlight fit in a 4x4" tin.

  • I heard people using superglue to seal up cuts or deep cuts, would this poison the cut or make it worse? Sorry if this is a stupid question

  • i always asked this same question!! lol okay, it CAN be used to seal deep wound/cuts. but there are pros and cons to this.. PROS: 1. stops the bleeding 2. gives you time to seek medical attention. CONS: 1. causes toxication 2. requires antiboitics to relieve the later pain 3. if medical attention is not obtained within several hours of putting super glue on the wound could you to suffer temporary paralysis in the spot which is inflicted with the glue. you should watch my survival kit video!!
  • IT IS NOT TOXIC! ! !

  • I think the best thing for you to do is carry Liquid skin in your kit. It will help seal up the wound. But nothing is as inportant as butterfly bandages. They will help you close and keep your wound closed. But each part of your body is differant with cuts.

  • I wouldn't do it.

  • why does no one ever put a gun in there survival kit?

  • Because a gun is only as good as the bullets you have. Then its a paper Weight. Average person only has 30 rounds. Thats all I ever have on me. Thats only 30 chances of hunting or 30 chances to protect your self. So its better to learn to be with out it and last longer.

  • i totally agree with your comment about the gun, i would prefer bows, slingshots, spears, a machete or parang for close up in a survival situation and these can be made in the bush

  • a good survival gun is one of the glock 9mm that can also shoot 22lr... the 22lr ammo is capable of killing small game for food and ammo is light in weight.. the 9mm can be used to deter cougars, bears, etc.. most people wouldn't recomend a 9mm for a bear attack, but they usually go running from the sound alone, and if they're 'really' attacking you id rather be able to put a few rounds in thier face before i have to pull out my knife.. ar-7's, browning m-6's are other good survival guns...

  • good survival pack... you can get alot of things accomplished with that... i like how you have camoflauge i saw another vid from a dude who had a pack that had like white tennis shoes and clothes that gave off color... u can do many basic things with ur pack,.... like survive

  • there is a fuckin knife

  • i have two questions

    1. Where the fuck is your knife?

    2. Are you gay?

  • He has a knife

and he's not gay bitch you are

  • I mentioned 4 knives. But I do need to reshoot this video.

  • @Ryan741963 Are you cruising?

  • he does have a knife you fool,

  • good video but inclue better mateirals, like a knife.

  • I have 4 knives I mention them but I know I need to reshoot the video.

  • the baggys you have are good for collecting tinder, water, edible vegetation as well as keeping many things dry

  • good kit.. hey check out my vidz.. they're somewhat similar to this one

  • i got zip ties rofl i use them when i take my fat ass to papas farm and molest his horse cows and cant forget the sheep thats what he didnt tell you

  • Comment removed

  • You got any vids up man! Lets see you do this!

  • Also, you need more medical supplies. Aspirin can treat anything from minor muscle ache to bug bites (and if older and subject to risk of heart attack may help you survive one in the wild until help arrives), tourniquet, a packet of "quick clot", anti biotic ointment etc etc

  • One thing, for the GPS, I would recommend that people use the highest quality LITHIUM batteries they can find. They maintain their power MUCH better than ANY other battery when in storage and will power high drain devices such as a GPS much longer before going dead. If you want something rechargeable go with SANYO Eneloops, they are the best rechargeable on the market. And ALWAYS carry a spare set.

  • i think this was a handy video

  • You forgot a knife! How can you forget a knife! And don't say "I've got one on the Leatherman." The knife on the Leathermen knife is basically useless for cutting anything except your cutting your finger off, as is a boxcutter. Plus any type of first aid items for when u slice your hand trying to use the Leatherman knife or the box cutter...

  • I have 5 differant knives I forgot to mention. Like My K-bar and my Smith And weston knife, and my kershaw and a few throwing knives that make good spear heads. The box cutters good for cutting little stuff. the leatherman is good for cutting branches but so is the k-bar

  • Cool

    ^_^

  • what do you use the pipe cleaners for ?

  • I use them for quick lashing and For fun. Also you can open them up for the wire. They really dont have any survival use but there handy.

  • I have the verizon network I get service everywhere. Iv been in washes and in mountains and i always get a signal. Satelite phones are pricey and un needed

  • nice kit :).

  • Easy to say from the comfort of your trailer park pussy..

  • dofair , my apologies if I cae across as insulting. I think the gps is an excellent idea.

  • You wasn't Insulting. A GPS is great to have but in the long run you only get maybe 2 days of use before the batteries die. I find it hard to get lost in Arizona. lots of landmarks to keep you located.

  • Maybe a prepaid cell phone might help in vcase you have to call 911.

  • A cell Prepaid cell phone is worthless in many ways. For one most prepaids expire after 3 months whether you use it or not. Even the cards not yet added to the phone expire after activation. So when you need it you cant use it. Also where I live Only Verizon gets service in the middle of know where. I use verizon.

  • it depends on the plan you get. Pay as you go can be as long as you need it to be. just depends on the amount of time you buy.
