  • Ainda lembrava desse trailer, presente em fitas VHS da Warner. Que grata surpresa.

  • fav batman movies in order

    1.batman returns

    2.dark knight

    3.batman

    4.batman begins

    5.batman forever

batman and robin isnt a movie it was an abomination and in my view it doesnt exist

  • @marie90 - wow exactly the same ranking with me. WOW WOW WOW. Returns is also my favorite.

  • @marie90

What about the animated Batman movies?

  • Comment removed

  • Pfeiffer's Catwoman was awesome. Even though I'm not a fan of the character, she was in top form. Nolan's Catwoman will obviously be different, but I don't see how Hathaway can top Pfeiffer.

  • problems with Nolan's Batmans it that his cast was good but not great as in Burton's movies))) pretty simple eh?) Batman Returns - still best batman movie)))))))

  • i think its really foolish o compare nolan and burton.

every person in this world has his or her own charm.

  • That 1st scene with Keaton and Devito before Pfiffer comes flipping out and blowing up Shrek's store is one of my all time favorite scenes. The way Devito says "You don't think you'll will do you?" and "Things change!" was intense.

  • Not really a Batman movie, but a Tim Burton movie with Batman in it. Still my favorite, right up there with The Dark Knight.

  • "How could you?! I'm a WOMAN!!!!" - Pfeiffer was brilliant in this role. So deceitful and thrilling.

  • This is really intense trailer

  • I remember seeing this version of the trailer in theatres back in '92, tacked onto "Wayne's World". It's not included on the special edition DVD; which has the other version of the trailer. Thanks for posting it!

  • Where are the deleted scenes

  • always gonna love the two first batman movies. ! Michelle Pfeiffer is the best Catwoman there ever be.

  • @TBoneMontana

What about Julie Newmar from the 60's Batman show and Andrienne Barbeau from TAS?

  • I like Batman Returns i grew up watching Batman and this one but the only thing about it is that it was too dark. I didn't mind the darkness that's just Tim Burton movies are dark. I love the movie the only thing i didn't like was the penguin he was too creepy and dark. But Catwoman was awesome and sexy, Tim made her perfect in the movie great cast, great movie.

  • @ewbears Same the Penguin is too much of a freak for me. I look at his whole character and i think think they should have gone a different direction or toned down some of those Burton elements. And where is Michael Keaton in this film? He carries the movie as Batman and yet he get's so little screen time.

  • @1981CrueHead

Do you think Paul Williams and Burgess Merideth were perfect Penguins?

  • @Johnlindsey289 No I don't think that, but I do feel that the Burton Penguin is too much a nightmare before Christmas character.

  • @1981CrueHead

At least the 60's Penguin with Merideth was the REAL one don't you believe? Merideth was awesome as Penguin and Osweld Copplepot. Any thoughts on Paul Williams's Penguin? great voice performance eh? and what do you think of Andrienne Barbeau as Catwoman/Selina Kyle?

  • Man, that trailer is rare. I'd forgotten all about the snow-covered Bat logo, I think I saw this one once back in 92.

  • Still my favourite Batman movie.

  • Comment removed

  • god knows i miss the 90's

  • I remember this trailer was attached to the movie "Memoriors of an Invisible Man"

  • one of the most underated batman films.

  • I honestly would give anything to have a trailer these days get me as excited/awestruck as this one does/did back in the day. I miss my youth

  • If you don't have chills running up your spine for the last 20 seconds of this, then you are officially dead, and have no soul...

  • @Murrman84 Ughh, I was too warm and comfy in my chair to have a chill running up my spine, I guess I'm dead and have no soul.....LOL. But I enjoyed the video.

  • Thanks for posting this. This was the trailer they showed on Entertainment Tonight when they were previewing the movie, and I always thought it was much better than the official theatrical trailer. I still think Batman Returns is the best live action Batman film.

  • Fascinating.

  • i really miss the ol' batman theme........ :(

  • @randomdave30 I dunno, Beetlejuice was pretty great

  • @randomdave30 Just because you're quiet doesn't mean you're not memorable or intimidating. In my opinion, being quiet makes you more interesting and (possibly) more intimidating, but ,then again, I don't live in a movie. I think Keaton was a better Batman, but Bale was a better Bruce Wayne, just my opinion.

  • Where did you find this?

  • Michelle Pheiffer was soooo hot as Catwoman...

  • @SackpipaMan I Didnt like penguin but the movie didnt stink man

  • @DaviHavoc09 my mom hated danny devito after seeing him in this.........CREEPY STUFF!!!!

  • i think it helped alot that Michelle and Michael had a history together and dated for a while in playing their roles in batman and catwoman...they have the sparks and they really know each other...their trust for the other can be completely scene in the movie and you could really see something in their eyes..maybe this is one of the reason why this movie is so successful and a classic

  • y'all inspired me to order it. maybe i'll make a video and post it on this site?!

  • i've wanted to be catwoman since i was 11 when this came out. i found someone on ebay who sells catsuits when i ordered a avatar blue suit for halloween. one these halloweens i'll get my wish

  • @mookiebut713

Dressed as Neytiri from Avatar? one of the sexiest catgirls ever, i love catgirls since i was 4 when i had a crush on M'ress from the Star Trek cartoon, Cleo from Heathcliff and Cheetara and even ladies dressed as cats like Catra from She-Ra and Catwoman from the Batman comics/animated show. Did you ever watched the animated show of Batman? i was 11 too when this movie came out and the animated show

  • @Johnlindsey289 i watched the animated series every day! i wore my catsuit to new york comic con last month and everyone loved it! i attended 2 panels with kevin conroy the voice actor of batman! did you see year one yet?

  • @mookiebut713

Same here and taped every episode on Fox even on WB, it was quite an adult animated show that even my mom and older brother watched. Do you remember Catra? i always thought she was a babe since i was 4. I also love Cheetah on Super Friends and her mutant cheetah form recently on Justice League, i adored Selina Kyle in any version such as Pfeifer, Julie Newmar, Blonde TAS, Brunette animated, comic and even mutant catgirl (remember that episode?) versions since i was 11.

  • @Johnlindsey289 na i don't remember that. i know i'll be saving that costume to wear next yr at comic con and get 4 day passes! they showed the new catwoman short at nycc with eliza dushku voicing her. i don't care for the way they drew her much. that would be an awesome tattoo. i'm running out of space though! i do have the batman logo and one of keaton as batman. i would love catwoman somewhere and i'm saving a prime spot for a heath ledger joker portrait! i was the joker for halloween in 2008

  • @mookiebut713

The episode of Batman TAS was called Tyger Tyger as it had Selina kidnapped by a mad scientist then turned into a sexy mutant literal catwoman just like Felicia from Darkstalkers games or Cheetara, it also had a big muscular cat man and an ape-man named Garth (i still lol at his name with Wayne as i think Bruce Wayne's World), ring any bells? Catra was She-Ra's main female villain, she had blue hair and turned into a panther, ring any bells too?

  • @Johnlindsey289 no it doesnt

  • @mookiebut713

Well ok, but do you think Ann Hathaway will fill in Pfeifer's shoes, Andrienne Barbeau's shoes and even Julie Newmar's shoes? remember the 60's Batman show? oh man Newmar was a babe and had a crush on her when i was 8 when i watched reruns of the campy 60's show on the Family Channel. Did you know the lady from Creepshow, Escape from New York, The Fog (1980) etc. Andrienne Barbeau was Catwoman's voice?

  • @Johnlindsey289 idk about hathaway. we'll see. look at the uproar when they cast heath the "guy from the gay cowboy movie" as the joker and how brilliant he was!

  • @mookiebut713

What do you think of Pfefier, Barbeau and Newmar's performances as Catwoman/Selina?

  • @Johnlindsey289 cant say i watched the other two but halle barry's movie one was so bad i started jugging red wine to get thru it and got a buzz. i don't even drink! i had to get drunk to make it thru that crapastic movie. idk who was worse catwoman or batman & robin!

  • @mookiebut713

Andrienne Barbeau was the voice of Selina/Catwoman on the cartoon did you know that?

  • @Johnlindsey289 no i didn't. your a pop culture savant just like me..tee hee. IMDB is the best website ever ain't it?!

  • @mookiebut713

Of course, i taped every episode of Batman TAS when i was your age even on WB and i own them on DVD with the other DC animated stuff. I always pause the end credits to see guest voices and it's Andrienne Barbeau, she was on Creepshow (The nagging wife), Escape from New York, Swamp Thing and other stuff. She had a real sexy voice for the role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. I'm a pop culture savant and what did you think of the 60's Batman show? remember that?

  • I love Michelle's evil laughter at the very end.

  • bring back tim burton please schumacker killed the franchise nolan ressurected it but he's making batman to real tim burton had the perfect vision

  • @weathered79 Are you seriously talking down on the new batman movies , sure there more realistic but there still dark man, by the way i really love tim burtons batman , Catwoman was the coolest!

  • Why the hell did they subtitle the names??

"Wait, who's playing Batman in this? I can't read this universally used name! Oh, the subtitle came. Thank God."

  • lmao. i love that mgmt favourited this vid.

  • this trailer is fucking hilarious when you're stoned. just sayin.

  • Sem dúvida a Michelle Pfeiffer foi a mulher gato mais sexy e gostosa de todas. Tem muita sensualidade, a Halle Berry não chega nem perto. MARAVILHOSA ! Td de bom numa mulher ...

  • Catwoman and The Penguin are awesome!

  • BEST. MOVIE. EVER.

  • @TOPGUNyoni You clearly haven't watched many movies.

  • @rubenssz 1. CLEARLY you're an idiot who didn't pass the 5th grade and doesn't understand "hyperbole". 2. CLEARLY this is a cult classic AND a mainstream phenomenon, and therefore lends itself as being a top pick for many movie afficionados, as evidenced by numerous blogs and imdb boards. 3. YOU clearly should shut the f&%k up.

  • @TOPGUNyoni 1. You need an anger management program. 2. Your parents clearly didn't give you a proper education. 3.This is NOT a cult classic, this is just another of the Hollywood garbage that people like you judge to be decent with an opinion based on the mainstream and the amount of money spent on the movie.

  • @rubenssz 1. My parents sent me to a private Jewish school in Beverly Hills, and I attended Cornell undergrad. Will u write them a letter criticizing their "proper education" methods? Thanks kindly. 2. you STILL haven't shut the f^*k up, this irks me. 3. not ALL movies born from Hollywood are "garbage". Some are, some aren't. Judge each picture separately on it's own merit. Why do you feel the need to condemn people's opinions on a thread that is clearly set up to glorify this movie?

  • @TOPGUNyoni 1. You're not only unpolite but also very rude, and can't attend a discussion with reasonable arguments, only using swear-words. 2. I neved condemned your opinion, just said that you probably haven't watched many movies, which is a nice way to praise someone by saying your opinion can be justified not by your intelligence, but by your ignorance. Anyway, I see I was wrong.

  • @rubenssz ARE YOU KIDDING!?!? you're calling ME rude when you came on a thread that had pretty much only very glowing, positive comments about a fan-favorite movie and bashed the "movie-seeing experience" of someone commenting? give me break. "nice way to praise someone" etc. etc. etc., oh come on, will u get off it already? OBVIOUSLY very few people would ever say Batman Returns is objectively the "BEST MOVIE EVER", i was just showing excitement for a movie i really liked, thats all.

  • @TOPGUNyoni I came to a youtube video, saw an idiot sentence and replied to it, it's that simple. You are the one who is causing riot because you're unable to use arguments to anything I said, just have to swear everything. You probably have a hard time with debates and discussions.

  • @rubenssz are you 12? do u know what "debate" is? You're not validating anything you're saying, you know NOTHING about me (and i'll admit, vice versa), and making blatant statements about what i "know". whether one swears or not has NOTHING to do with the validity of an argument. i already explained myself. it's not an "idiot sentence" if it's an opinionated hyperbole on a movie i and many others like. dont like it? too FU&KING bad, take your negatively elsewhere rubenshit.

  • @TOPGUNyoni You swear because you can't give rational arguments to the discussion. That's why you keep saying f*ck this, f*ck that... See that I'm just laughing of you, who can't give a reason for why anyone who has watched more two movies in their lifetime wouldn't say what you said.

  • @rubenssz Yeah lets have a "you this, you that" discussion. ALL you keep saying is "you make idiot statements, you don't know good movies." You took my statement out of context completely and from that, assumed that it was coming from someone who hasn't seen many movies...um who are YOU to judge what someone else says as an accurate judgement of a movie's caliber? Do you work for the Academy of Motion Pictures? If not, then pipe down.

  • @TOPGUNyoni I never said if this movie is good or not, never judged its quality. I just said that it's far from the best movie ever, even because it's not even close to it. If you get to any types of movies that this movie could fit in, there would probably be thousands ahead of it, and I don't need to be from the Academy Motion Pictures because their opinion is biased to the producer that pays better.

  • @rubenssz and read the first comment under the video, thats all the "reasons" you need for why its a great movie. Just because you don't like it doesn't discredit why others like it.

  • Thanks for posting this. This is actually the trailer I remember from 1992, I think it was included on VHS tapes at the time. Tim Burton's and Christopher Nolan's Batman films are great, Joel Schumacher's suck ass (like the director).

  • This on the "Curly Sue" vhs along with a trailer for the "Tiny Toons/Summer Vacation" movie.

  • sweet! that takes me back...

  • Nolan's films are still not that great as Burton's.

  • brilliant

  • I still love the Elfman score and Pfeiffer killed in the role.

Just wondering however why hasn't Keaton and Burton done anything together since this, they did Beetlejuice and two Batman flicks.

  • That is true, but since Batman, Tim Burton found a new guy, his name is Johnny Deep and he is the leading man in his movies......and good choice too.

  • I actually always thought Depp would have made a good Batman. Keaton is amazing though.

  • burton intended to take depp as batman for the third one, but as we all know WB didnt want him for the next one. The Riddler was supposed to be the main villain and he planned to have Catwoman return (thats why the final scene showing her look at the signal was shot in postproduction -> so she was alive and could be used again in the sequel) Great loss...

  • @BatmanReturns91 Idk, I'm starting to think Depp and Burton are gay for each other, and the only truly good and original film they made TOGETHER was "Edward Scissorhands," after that it was crap and remakes, with and without Depp. I'm no actor or director, but in my humble opinion, they're both past their creative peaks, unfortunately

  • i know, he should of put keaton in Alice...but depp looks cool in a way 2.

  • What do you guys think? Did Pfeiffer really sculpt that body with just Pilates for this movie?

  • First 2 Tim Burton batman movies and New Nolan movies are all good, rest are just plain crap.

  • agreed

  • tim burton is a master

  • Not true the 1966 Batman film was awesome, if by the rest you mean Joel Schumacher's then yes I agree

  • 1966 movie is good in its own kind of way;)

  • @MojoWeedPatrol9 agreed it was all downhill after this one

  • @MojoWeedPatrol9

What about Mask of the Phantasm, Sub-Zero and Under the Red Hood?

  • This is a classic! If they ever remake this, they need to have Tim Burton again as director, and Michelle as catwoman. She was amazing in this movie!!!

  • dark, Gothic, surreal, wonderful, visually memorizing, beautifully sinister, and mostly underrated.

    This is Batman Returns...

  • Thanks for posting this! This was actually playing in my theater before the summer the movie opened. I actually kind of preferred it to the official trailer. I speculated that the "gotta fly" scene was the ending to the movie and that Batman would kill him like the Joker by grappling his feet. I imagined the Penguin would fall and Batman would quip, "Penguins don't fly." Of course that didn't happen, but in the 90s that wasn't too far from how it could have ended.

  • hm. see, i used to love batman returns. got a chance to wathc it with a friend on blu ray recently and was reminded how amazin it looks...! and that's just it - ir eliaesed it looks amazin and it has a lot of amazin things about it, but it's all very knowing, rather like a bunch of friends playing roles and kind of lookin at each other out of the corner of the eyes thinking 'wow isnt this a riot'.

  • fantastic

  • this one probably wasnt seen that much cuz if yout hink about it it gives too much of the movie away, key scenes costumes ideas sequences stuf that took a long time to get together they dont wana blow it all on the trailer. maybe in the theatres though, or at least back then, u could do that. so every one would be hubbubbing oevr it at work or school or wahtever the next day

  • This and the original Batman (89) are what they are..just plain classics..you cant really bash on them. I mean although Batman is potrayed abit different, more of a darker hero if you will in these films, and I like nolans versions.. I honestly have more love for Burtons. Theres just somethin about them. I dunno, maybe its the nostalgia because I grew up with them..or simply because they're just plain GREAT movies....shame shumaker ruined what was perfectly fine..

  • my opinion - the nolan ones have shit for dialogue (like eg anne rice's books - the histroical or scenic description is great bu the dialogue is awful and completely inappropriate for the age she's writing in)...like the awful ''it's not who i am but what i do that defines me...'' thats literally a dawsons creek style line. SO cliched. SOOOOO uninspiring. the chris nolan batman movies try to be more realisitc but they're patronising, explainin each little element to the audience in big letters.

  • God bless Batman.

    oh, and Darth Vader.

  • that snow covered logo at the end? brilliant! wehere is it from? With the white blowin out of the symbol grooves? the 1992 batman returns toy commercial on here has the same thing with a kind of whistling wind. total forgotten flashback.

  • I think it's just a reference to the film taking place in Winter, the holidays specifically.

  • 1:53 is a deleted sequence. in the film the bat sginal is blue.

  • I think they used a different take of Penguin's speech about punishing Gotham in the film than here. Not too sure though.

  • your crazy, this movie is awesome, batman forever was bad though bc of chase!

  • as IF batman forever is better than this.

  • batman '89 is more innocent and more serious att the same time. musically aswell - if you like only the wacky, then batman returns soundtrack is better. but it lacks the batman theme being rammed home as the first did, as tho batman the character himself is less important in this one. mayhbe that was the idea. batman returns is twice as invenitve as forever - this one pioneered the double villian thing. and at least everything didnt look dayglo plastic as in forever. pfeiffer over kidman,c'mon!

  • I just LOOOVE her laughter. Must rewind it all the time. It's very evil - but totally HOT!

  • michelle pfeiffer i love you.

  • another classic from Tim Burton!

  • Amazing trailer, which contains lots of different takes from the film including the different much more sexually suggestive way Pfeiffer says 'feed my cat'-wish that had been left in the final cut. Awesome film, great trailer.

  • When I see Danny Devitto all I can think about is Troll Toll

  • I remember seeing this trailer back in 1991 when I was 13 and damn, it still kicks ass and by far the best of the Batman Returns trailers!

  • Which Batman movie is better? Batman Returns or The Dark Knight?

  • Batman Returns...but I love the Dark Knight

  • Why do you like Batman Returns more than The Dark Knight?

  • Batman Returns and Batman Begins are two entirely different films, but both make their points perfectly.

Batman Returns was a social justice piece.

You can say that Batman was always about justice, but Returns really took it to another level, and really made you think about good and evil, feminism, and the entire idea of a wearing a "mask",

The tears in Selina's costume indicated her unraveling, and barely being mentally held together.

It was an awesome film! Nothing like it!

  • @fflybz but batman kills in tim burtons movie :( batman doesnt kill :(

  • @MarkMasters83

fanboy nerd speaking....who cares, the Burton films ruled (and now I dont think the Nolan films suck, just saying dont be a fucking fanboy nerd, you fucking moron)

  • He did in the earliest comics, not that it matters.

  • @fflybz If anything, it showed the failures of social justice as both the Penguin and Catwoman lost in their villainous endeavors.

  • @fflybz Well said! perfectly worded tribute to a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

  • irrelevant

  • I've been looking for this everywhere...I love this version of the trailer!

  • Well, well done! 5 stars!

  • This trailer was available on the limited edition VHS wide-screen edition of 'Batman Returns' - would love to know what Michelle is laughing at, best Catwoman EVER!

  • @tramell4

What about Andrienne Barbeau as Selina Kyle/Catwoman on the animated show?

  • Great trailer. This should have been on the DVD Special Edition.

  • Well I hope your enjoying American movies made in Hollywood grincenkov . You showed us. Nothing more hillarious than an angry ( no english speaking )fanboy on U-Tube. And a lot of the technology you take for granted , well a lot of that is made by Americans too. Have a great day.

  • @jayce79 Made by americans? You mean stolen, right?

  • o ya we r definetly the "miserable country"...and i was using sarcasm if u don't u-n-d-e-r-s-t-a-n-d what that means, was i going to fast for you there??

  • Fuck you for even talking back. If you say that America has no culture than you obviously don't know what your talking about. We do not "just speak english" everyone at my school can speak spanish french and a few basic parts of asian languages. Never talk about countries the way you are talking about(especially when they could annihilate you in a war (:...) So smartass, from now on watch your third-world mouth!

  • Comment removed

  • yeah right

  • Was it really necessary to subtitle the actors names? I guess Micheal Keaton in Spanish is "Micheal Keaton"

  • Burtons Batman was good for what it was, but I prefer Nolans work.

  • I agree. Burton's Batman was great for it's time, but Nolan's Batman was the right approach to re-boot the franchise.

  • the only batman movies i seen were the first and second ,i didnt like the ones after , it was a loss that michael keaton and michelle didnt do the 3rd and 4th ones ,oh well

  • this was the trailer i remember seeing first

I wonder why it has been so hard to find

  • Best Batman Ever

  • Such a powerful trailer.

  • Did anyone notice when in the movie Penguin flys up with his umbrella, In the movie the umbrella top never fell down..In this trailer it did ...Which Awsome :D

  • catwoman, most definitely

chase meridian is just a fan girl who needs to getover herself

  • not really chase meridian was the only woman who understood bruce and his problems catwoman, viki vale, rachel dawes, julie madison really didn't!

  • nahhhh... chase WANTED to. but catwoman did know. she embodied the same things batman did. it was def a deadly attraction.

  • who is better for batman?

    chase merridian or catwoman?

  • chase she understood him better

  • Catwoman is laughing because Penguin took off his pants.

  • looooool ur serious??

  • lol XD

  • woooow thts alot'of deleted scenes!

  • i stayed up until 2 in the morning to see this trailer premiered on TV. Its so annoying its not on the DVD-its the better trailer-and I agree with you on the line and the laugh. Thanks for posting!

  • Oh God is there anyone more beautiful than Michelle Pfeiffer? The whole of this film is brilliant but she was spectacular in this. That whole "go home feed my cat" scene, god she was so so good. Her and Keaton were electric.

  • You have to remember back in early 1992 there was NO internet, therefore no footage of this movie had been seen before this trailer premiered on Entertainment Tonight. We had no idea how Danny Devito & Michelle Pfeiffer were going to look wearing the costumes. It was very exciting. Thanks for posting this. It brings back memories...
