Come Cover Me is one of my favourite songs. But this was not the one! It is not the same wiithout Tarja singing. This, together with many old NWsongs, is Tarja-voice-songs, not Anette! Anette sings the new songs alright... But I didn't like this version. Hm, NW is missing their mystic and magic which they had earlier.

Wheres the power this song used to convey? Sure it's not terrible, but it sounds more Evanescence/Lacuna Coil now. I think Tarja sang this song a hell of a lot better than Anette, she gave it a more mystical, powerful vibe.
very good! it's clear that Anette is rather an alto while Tarja is soprano, and thats why A. has trouble with higher Nightwish songs, but this doesn't mean she had worse voice, but simply different voice quality. I think they should tranpose songs so that they fit Anette and it will be OK.
Some versions are okay. Some are god-awful shit. For example: Slaying The Dreamer. AWFUL! Okay: Wishmaster and AMAZING= THIS ONE! This is Anette's best version of Come Cover Me!

saw them at Jaxx and Anette was great..she doesnt have those vibratto highs on Wishmaster like Tarja but had more soul than Tarja , definately. and sounded better live than she did on the album, Nightwish was not Tarja, Thuomos is the conductor. they've always had commercial appeal - good for them!
Wishmaster, Sleeping sun, I wish I had an Angel, Sacrament of Wilderness, She's my sin, Ever Dream AND Come cover me. All my songs go to hell when this POPGIRL sings them. I never go to a Nightwish concert anymore, because I don't want earcancer. R.I.P Nightwish and born is Popwish. I don't like it. Anette should sing pop and not metal, than she sounds much better.
Here's a newsflash for you, Tarja wasn't exactly a metal singer either... And Nightwish has had a definite pop edge which I quite like since Century Child. So stop whining already! Anette is here to stay, whether you like it or not isn't going to make a blind bit of difference to anyone.

Tarja sang with feeling. Annette's expression is as if she's thinking 'man, i cant wait to get out of here.' Tarja danced and moved to the music, it looked as she was having fun which she was, and made the crowd have fun with her. Tarja was really entertaining. no doubt about it.

It's the same tune. The sound quality isn't the best and Tuo's using a different setting, so that might be why it sounds different. I'm pretty sure it's in the same key though, or darn close to it.
I think many people here listen to metal because them - being DEAF - need something louder to at least hear something.
I hear a voice many times worse singing this song with half the notes out of tune.
It's ok to be a fan, but to say Anette sings this better is an insult to your own sense of hearing.

and,, first of all, it's true, it was her first show, maybe she was nervous, for example...
