  • P.E.A.C.E killed that shit!

  • i saw a documentary about these guys and now i realize how much peop

    le have stolen from them

  • Reality is that most of the cats from FF came from the Good Life Cafe today known as Project Blowed. The Good Life was a popular place in the late 80's early 90's. Many big name folks would swing by (Lenny Kravitz, Ice Cube, etc) to see what all the buzz was about. Word is that Easy E or one of his people attended, got their hands on a Freestyl Fellowship tape....lol yeah tape and Bone Thugs were influenced by their style. Does not mean they bit directly but they were influenced by their style.

  • @HOAXone bone thugs n harmony had the style before they meet eazy y

  • Comment removed

  • @MrOuija79 Actually I disagree. I have been in the music industry since the 90's and it's pretty well known in the industry that Bone Thugs did not have the same style before they worked with Eazy E. After they linked with Eazy they changed up their style and flow and it was eerily very similar to Freestyle Felllowship. Yet I dont think they bit from FF, they were influenced and flipped it to appeal more to mainstream and added their own touch in the process.

  • @HOAXone you the right to disagree. but what do u mean by style? the fast rap or the harmony. like i always say, why people want to attack bone thugs but not everybody else who's doing it

  • @MrOuija79 Im def not attacking BT&H. I used to like some of there stuff. All im saying is that Freestyle Fellowship were one of the originators with that fast style of rap....and not just fast but they did it a particular way as well as mixing harmonies within their flow. Their content tho went over people's head so it never really broke into mainstream. BT&H being influenced by them applied their own 2 cents to it with a more gangsta mentality and packaged it for the masses.

  • @HOAXone so who was the first? hell REV RUN said he use to do it

  • where in the hell did the HIP-HOP go?

  • man i dont care who started the style because i got love for all of them its no point in agruing over it because that will just go on forever like it is now just appreciate each style from those different prospectives

  • Well Im a martyr Go tell your child

it wasnt a coincidental Accidental o-ring

    Aerotory hero mother ship

  • biting or influence -doesnt matter. wheres all the styled acappella videos from Bone? Id be down to watch it if it exists at all.

  • all this who bite who is getting old. i heard FF was 1st. i heard twista was 1st and the list goes on. if bone thugs n harmony was biters they never would've made this far. bone has a fan base in LA so large that FF can't even dream of having. it's very possilble that bone thgs and other rappers never heard of FF. so please let it go

  • @MrOuija79 : "if bone thugs n harmony was biters they never would've made this far."

I happen to think that Bone Thugs did bite Freestyle Fellowship but even if they didn't, the above statement makes no logical sense.

  • @Omagus you think so and i think not. and u can't clone somebody that u don't know. too many dudes claim that bone stole they style. no matter what kind of style a rapper got there is always someone close to u. some are biters some are not

  • @MrOuija79 You completely missed the point. Whether or not Bone did bite FF has no bearing on the career longevity of the former.

As far as not cloning someone you don't know, Eazy-E is obvious link. You claim Bone had the style pre-Eazy. No, they did not. Faces of Death does not incorporate the harmonizing that they had going forward with Creepin on a Come Up. That style was taken directly from FF tracks like Mary and Park Bench People. NOBODY did that kind of thing before FF.

  • @Omagus just becuz the harmony was not on faces of death don't mean they wasn't doing it. a former mo thug rapper said they had the harmony before they recorded faces of death.

  • @MrOuija79 So there's no proof that they the style before but one of their friends claims that they did. Convenient.

  • @Omagus put it this way FF was never a major part of hip hop. they was just local talent. and ahy do u think alot of rappers want to claim the style after bone thugs

  • @MrOuija79 You just continue to broadcast your ignorance. Hip hop is like any other art form: innovation comes from the independents and outsiders, not from the mass market. The Good Life essentially created the hip hop underground, and the members of Freestyle Fellowship were the most respected members there. FF was never as popular as Bone but their legacy is MUCH bigger and will last much longer.

  • @Omagus LOL

  • @MrOuija79 just cause it wasent known dont mean that it wasent there n it wasent respect because not only tha fellowship, but a mass fucking lineup of some sick emcees were putting it down for tha westcoast both pre and post gangsta rap era so shut ur mouth on shit you dont fooool, people not only all over tha states n even other countries bumped, and still are keeping tha sounds of tha blowed till this day. not hating on bonethugs or anyone else but i sure am hating on YOU.

  • @ArrozConBeats92 lol kids

  • bone didnt bite shit listen to their Faces Of Death Tape from 1992 under the name B.O.N.E Enterprise

How in the fuck would they have heard FF's first album?Stop kidding urself idiots just because people came out with similar styles doesnt mean they neccesarily bit it idiots

  • LOL, I ain't gon be to many more idiots! On the real though, YOU need to listen to Faces of Death, cause they are not rhyming the same on there and Creepin on ah Come Up, bottom line. They were just spitting fast on Faces, on Creepin they got a more melodic style. As far as how Bone would've heard FF's music, people used to do a lot of tape passing which is how a lot of underground cats got known, kind of like how rappers get big off mixtapes now.

  • @dawb86 that doesnt prove anything, bone listened to marvin gaye and a lot of michael jackson when they were young, they had harmonies on FOD check HELL SENT,DEF DICK,FLOW MOTION just relisten to them.Of course their style will change a little once they have access to real studio equipment and they can layer their vocals and shit you have got to take into account all of that man, they rapped for the fun of rapping when they were young not to make money, theyve said that heaps and they wouldnt bite

  • @AnnwnFilms Dude, I'm telling you, on Faces of Death it's sometimes speed, sometimes reggae-influenced, but they're never HARMONIZING in their flows. I'm not hating on Bone, I been listening to them since I was a kid but the truth is the final piece to their style came from "Mary," and that's a huge piece considering it became their signature. Nobody's even mad at Bone for having some of Myka's style but when cats CHOOSE not to give certain people props it goes from influence to biting, period.

  • man fellowship has been around since 88

  • "The Fellowship did mention it. Go pick up a documentary called "This Is the Life."

If I can find it i'll go cop that..i'll also talk to folks who was into the underground back then...but you possibly might be right..i saw a vid of mikah 2 months ago where he said "follow me, follow me, follow me" now thats just a bite by itself from bone...IF?? Bone said it first,,

  • U said u saw a clip of Myka where he was saying "come follow me, come follow me." Was he performing "Mary," cause THAT'S the song everybody said Bone got their style from. U should go search it up and listen 2 it.

  • @qwampa1 yeah sorry i am going to have to step in -- Take it from this

Old Head from the BAY-- Freestyle Fellowship came out WAAAAAAY before Bone Thugs-- There is no way Freestyle could bite bone thugs-- They were putting out there first undergrond tapes when the Bone cats were in fourth and fith grade--

  • Were debating that bone bit, not that freestyle bit..can you reclarify yourself again..thanks.

  • My folk's said that bone is a mixture of Cold Crush Brothers and Fantastic (something, maybe 5?). When those crews used to battle back in the dayz they would do alot of harmonizing, but not on songs. Bones harmonizing is also like how cats used to sing on the corner back along time ago like Fantasia to try to land deals. Fellowship is more bebop. Bone was the 1st to do it retail. The only thing that is contraversial is the speedrapping. But Jaz-O and Jay-Z were the 1st to do it on "originator"

  • haha you dont know what the fuck you're talking about, qwampa. You had to ask your parents?

Bottom line is...FF are the OGs!

  • You might want to re-up on your history, money.

1.)The melodic-choppy style that Bone became associated with was pioneered by Mikah.

2.)Freestyle Fellowship were harmonizing on wax before Bone.

3.)High tempo rappin' goes all the way back to the Treacherous 3 & Spoonie G's 'The New Rap Language',released around 1980(but there are recordings of them performing it as early as '79.)

  • @teef1027 bone were rapping in the late 80s man just because people have slightly similar styles that came from different circumstances does not mean they bit one another, bone recorded their first shit in 91 the same as FF so get over the childish ahhhhhhh look who bit who blah blah blah i know everything type shit

  • the fact is alot of cats rapped like that back then..Bone rapped like that on Faces of Death..they were hella young and i doubt they ever heard of freestyle fellowship in cleveland..Eazy e never went to no damn club or freestyle fellowship show..and i doubt that if he did he would tell bone to bite the style...2nd off..Bone was rapping like that when they went to meet Eazy at the greyhound station..u nerds are fucking retarded!

  • I'm a fan of some of Bone's music, and I'll tell u they were NOT rapping like that in the beginning. When the last time u heard that Faces of Death joint? They used 2 sound more like Das EFX/Fu-Schnickens. Bone always did it fast but then all of a sudden they switched it up and added this melodic kick to their flow, something not just the Fellowship but a FEW acts from that whole Good Life movement were already doing.

  • And what u mean they never heard of the Fellowship in Cleveland?! People been knowing about the Fellowship in CHINA and JAPAN since about '91, I'm sure Cleveland heard a thing or two!!

  • So your story is..that the gangster rap founder Eazy E, went into a backpack show and was taking notes on freestyle fellowships style, then when he met up with Bone, he gave THE WHOLE BONE THUGS IN HARMONY a bitten style??????????

And how does the other story sound..Somehow Bone had access to a freestyle fellowship CD or Tape in Cleaveland, so 5 thugged out rappers bit it?

the whole story to this plot should be made into a comedic movie..how come the freestyle fellowship never mentioned this?

  • The Fellowship did mention it. Go pick up a documentary called "This Is the Life." I don't know about the whole 'Eazy making Bone bite' thing, but the story of Bone getting a tape(s) doesn't sound crazy at all. Cats used 2 trade tapes back then and come on, u know in the 90s u didn't have 2 be on the radio 4 people 2 know who u were. At the time, the Fellowship were one of the best known underground acts and people were expecting them 2 be the next big thing in hip hop.

  • where you even around when tongue twista dropped his hit song????..i was in 6th grade..

  • LOL. I was young but I was around. It's funny cause weren't Bone and Twista beefing back in the day cause somebody said the other was biting? But when they asked Layzie about it he said Twista's style was more just speed, whereas they were harmonizing with theirs and playing with the melody. Now..... isn't that what I JUST SAID about their old style on the first record compared 2 "Creepin on ah Come Up?"

  • mikah...

  • mind boggeling video arial material sattelaite atenna, appetite dilema, trema.... haha, i was inspired.

  • badass

  • Somebody stop Jupiter before he brings down the heavens, and makes every 'dope emcee' wanna go back to druggin' and dead end violence.

  • recognize where the real flows came from...

  • GODDMAN

    THESE BROTHAS ARE GREAT

  • We will not tolerate.........

    long live the Fellowship

  • it's a REAL SHIT mans!!!

  • Oh sweet Jesus these guys are the best shit ever.

  • deep.

  • GENIUS. 15 yrs later & they're still so far ahead of their time.

  • everybody beyond this point borrowed from the fellowship. aal popular artist know of them as well but won't mention/give props to for obvious reasons. ummmmm..............

  • Greatest underground group of the century. So many people didn't know about them. To hang with them was a trip. Project Blowed and the Good Life thursdays and fridays. It was a great experience.

  • That was a "true" display of real talent. "Inner City Boundaries" and "Park Bench People" are STILL two of my favorite songs from these cats.

  • park bench was/is dope as hell

  • bone thugs couldnt rip them if they tried, they maybe copied a lil bit but u cant even mention bone thugs when talkin bout these guys. theres no comparison.

  • Actually, mikah nine from freestyle fellowship wote a lot of the Bone thugs songs. Eazy-E was Bone Thugs manager, and Eazy- E had a relationship with Mykah Nine, because he was writing for Eazy-E after Cube left. That's why Bone Thugs sound so much like FF

  • I heard they might have been influenced by FF and I know Bone Thugs wrote their own shit. But Myka Nyne wrote a lot of the Bone thugs material? where did you get this info? still respect to this group real talent

  • Who said they wrote for Bone?

  • Get a copy of The Good Life Documentary.

  • Nah man, that's not what is said in "The Good Life" doc

The movie is saying that Bone were seemingly very influenced by the rappers at Good Life, but never gave respect due back to those cats. The movie also speculates that Ice Cube got some of his later flava from Volume Ten. But these are all educated guesses cause Bone and Ice never confirmed these things. However, you can def hear the similarities

  • Well, the biting shit has definately been confirmed by some of the Goodlife artists in the 90's when the biting occured, for example when bone rolled up with uneek and eazy to study the styles of fellowship and cve.....

  • We Will Never Fall the Fuck Off We Promise!

  • Wow..I simply never knew

  • The best

  • FFX3 foreva!

  • OG's. this was the beginning of innovation in hip hop, true inovation. when freestyle became an artform and lyrics were beyond what was the norm. even being in ATL, i knew styles when i heard them. hip hop and you don't stop. be blessed, grace and peace

  • No one has shit on the Fellowship....Respect Due, muh fuckas!!!

  • Bone Thugs completely ripped them off.

  • NO ONE COMPARES - Not from any coast or Universe for that matter..and to think NWA was more accepted then these True Living Legends... it's no wonder this world is such an odd place to pace....

    -RESPECT TRUE INOVATORS

  • dooooope!
