You have a really, really beautiful voice! Keep on singing. The accent is not really a problem, cause you can learn to speak english a little better. I thing that you sang the song very good. Thank you.
I'm getting carried away again probably posting too much. But will mention this to Jan Peters here in Bellingham. He plays guitar, mandolin, hamonica, fiddle in a local band that's been playing past five years called 'The Naked Hearts'. Just met him at the health food co-op earlier today so don't know much about him. But he sounds pretty well established in the Pacific Northwest. Maybe he has connections or something. Maybe not. Will try.
Specifically, your accent when you say "cry" and "try", you say "cwy" and twy"--you don't pronounce yor "r"s. It is extremely charming, similar to the New England accent in U.S. I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. As a teenager there I once had a romance with a girl visiting from Boston. It was her accent that I remember most fondly. No, I would disagree. This is not just average but very special.
Your version is very, very charming. I've viewed Linda Ronstadts version probably 50 times or more over the past year and I like your version as much if not better. Hers is good with the black female backup singers, I think they are "The Blackberry's". But again it is your accent that really makes your version special. I listen without viewing the images though. They bother me. Maybe they're meant to in an artistic way to convey the meaning of the song but I feel better not viewing them.
Your version is excellent. I don't like some of the images though. They're too disturbing. But your voice and your accent make this so good. This is top rate. I'd say. But another point, I think Sheryl Crow maybe one of the latest to do this but believe it was cat Stevens who wrote this song way back around 1971 or so. Linda Ronstadt did a version and has it on YouTube. It's quite good. But to be very honest, yours is too.

This song was written and first sung in 1967 by Cat Stevens, Sheryl Crowe did a cover of it in 2003, but it is not her song.
