The spending happened in the early 30's so does that mean we have to spend for 8 years before we get out of this? I remember Elizabeth Smart, who could forget, like you said. But that man was disturbed and very sick, mentally; crazy, like you said. But it have very little bearing on his Mormon faith. I just don't understand why, with all the countless other examples out there of "religious crazies", the one chosen was in reference to Mormons. actually it was world war 2 that got us out of the depression. It lasted 8 years prior. The spending happened in the early 30's so does that mean we have to spend for 8 years before we get out of this? Besides, back in the 30's there was a more sound monetary policy. it's worse now because of all the inflation there already is in our system along with the insane debt the government is in.
