  • This is a great match!

  • That was the same pattern we bowled in at our house for 15 yrs, The manager oiled the lanes by hand using a bug sprayer. It was the only bowling alley around at the time so I had no choice, But at least watching this I now know why I lost my hair during that time period lol

  • HOLY CRAP! Pete 3 off the right!

  • The angle that Pete's ball is coming in at is unreal. Thats what you get when you have heavy roll though

  • pete got robbed

  • hey Wolfman do u think u could upload the 2001 Louisville Open where it was Pete against Michael Haugen. One of the best championship matches ever

  • Pretty sure Pete's throwing a T Road Solid on the left.

  • All we can all say is "Just a bit outside." :D

  • lol at 7:00

    gi-hawd

  • 7.28 :D:D:D

  • scroggins seems like he has really good sportsmanship good job scroggins!!

  • Oh man i've hated everything about him from his form to how he even looks. But when I got to meet him after while he was signing pins and programs, I realized he is like the nicest guy you could ever meet. I still think his form is uber-ugly but he is a real peoples champion. He is truly appreciative of his fans. He made me one that day, even though still Pete Weber is still my favorite bowler of all time.

  • who r u talking about scroggins or weber.

  • Scroggins. He is really a peoples champion. I still think his bowling form is ugly. Now Parker Bohn III is a true beautiful lefty bowler form. But anyway Scroggins is a very nice guy and was very nice to his fans. I admire him now.

  • Weber tried to escape from the left door of the bowling alley with his wife. But this guy my buddy and I were sitting next to caught him outside so I was able to take pictures with him and have him sign my pin and program. He was cool about it.

  • Scrog the Hog strikes again!

  • great sportsmanship from scroggings applauding when PDW converted the 4-9!

  • thx wolfie1

  • wow, the sport shot at our old house was exactly like that pattern. hats off to scroggies. the party is back

  • maybe scroggins worked on his single pins conversion..!?

  • I must say, its great to see the Pros struggling on a difficult pattern. They really should introduce some more patterns onto the Tour to mix it up more.

  • Wow, how did that first shot Pete threw in this part not fall into the gutter? Lol.

  • Shut up about scroggins. He can play!! Simpel..When winning at this sort of pattern u should give him some credit.. And dont complane bout the way he looks... Rather ugly and play PBA then be such a cracky bowler like u..

  • The hell? How deserving they are depends on their appearance to you?

  • Someone have a mancrush on Barnes? :)

  • LOL! Ownage.

  • good post....i really wanted to see PDW win...wasn't meant to be. It must have been tough seeing a picture of your father staring at you each shot (in case you didn't notice, a picture of DW was on the masking unit of the lane next to the championship pair)

  • Cheers wolfman i coundnt see Scroggins getting 2 in the 10th for the match.Wolfman i think your the greatest i love you man!!!

  • omg i wanted scroggins to lose!

  • i reckon aye, what an ugly fuck

  • if espn could get the goddamn transmission right wed be good

  • wow i'm looking forward to seeing the other matches...

  • Anyone know if pros use finger and thumb inserts in their balls?

  • yes

  • Oh well you can't tell from looking at the balls, they don't have colors that stand out it is just black if they do.. I only have finger inserts in mine would it help to get thumb inserts too?

  • Depends on a lot of things... If you're serious about bowling, you should make big friends with your pro shop ball tech. I only recommend thumb inserts for people who bowl with arsenals (multiple balls). If you rely on 1 ball... Try to drill into it as little as possible.

  • they usually only do fingers if you have a fingertip ball.

  • DER

  • The majority pros use finger inserts. But it's a toss up for thumb slugs... I know Bohn III and Weber do, but WRW Jr. and Duke don't.

  • What does it do? Does it give you a better grip or... what?

  • slugs can give you more revs and control on the ball

  • Why are they calls slugs?

  • Yes and no... Personally, my pro doesn't use anything, finger or thumb, he's a hardcore purest. Finger inserts do add easier grip. A thumb slug gives you a different texture than just a plain hole drilled into your ball... The key being that having the thumb insert means you know what it feels like no matter the ball.

  • I have a slug in my thumb hole....it is so smooth now and my themb slips right out...no sticking.even if I am sweaty. My thumb always hurt before....I'll never have a nother ball with out a thumb slug!

  • wats a thumb slug

  • WTF kind of shot are they playing on? 49 ft. Chameleon or something? The ToC shot is easier!

  • this is a special pattern the PBA uses only for the Dick Weber Open. it's similar to the strip patterns they used in the 90s.

  • The Chameleon is only 39 ft.

  • I know I thought they may have added 10 feet or something. Thanx for the real answer Isaiab. And thanx Wolf for uploading

  • thanks mike

  • thanks mike!
