  • You call that a big gun? My S&W 500 Magnum laughs at your little .454casull. I guess at your age this is as big as you want to go or else your brittle old bones might shatter. :)

  • What is up with Mr. Twinkie?

  • BEAST! I Love that gun! glad you got another!

  • Bad ASS Brother..

  • that's not a scratch you guys are seeing it's where the trigger housing meets the rest of the gun.

  • Comment removed

  • I want one of these for my first revolver i love it

  • I was thinking the short barrel would make performance suffer, but a couple of sites out there say they only see about a 200 fps loss between the short barrel and the 7.5" one. With big, hard-cast bullets, that shouldn't be a big problem if you're thinking of using one of these for protection while camping (especially since you'd be using it at short range). I mean, a 360 grain bullet at 1500 fps is pretty scary stuff!

  • Hey just letting u know they do make 45 colt in the critical defense line of ammo n u could use the leverothion in it also

  • DONT EVER LET IT GO AGAIN!!!!!

  • when do we get a range vid on this beast with hot .454 loads pete??

  • Damn Pete, that is awesome!

  • That is one sick looking gun!! Huge and obnoxious, you shouldn't talk about yourself that way Pete, I think your Moobs are just fine!!

  • Glad you got it back GREAT vids keep them coming!!

  • Come on Pete. It is not immature to buy things like that. It is the American way dude. It's the Economy and expendable income. I have been trying new sights on my Glocks, 3-dot night sights on my Glock 22 and XS- bar dot on my Glock 26. Also did the ghost tactical setup on them, verry nice and fast reset! Lookin at a Ruger Sp101 and also the Alaskan 454 cassul. Let us know how the recoil is on that bad mother. Look's brutal!

  • Very nice Pete. The Alaskan is just a sexy looking gun.

  • Very nice i was looking to get the taurus raging judge full size because im not alowed compact guns were i live in canada with my licence :( they put them in the prohibb class in 91 when i was born:p super lame

  • Nice revolver! When are you going to get an M1 Garand?

  • Bad ass

  • ★★★★★

    NICE!!!!!

  • Sweet gun man!

  • @supermaucat, that line your looking at isn't the one he was talking about. That's not a scratch, its part of the frame.

  • A grizzly bear stopper.

  • Watch The Transporter... the main character is seen holding it for a few seconds and it looks MASSIVE in his hand...

  • Pete, did Cabela's give you any discount since it was scratched at the get go?

  • Glad you got another one!

  • I'm not a 1911's guy so those vids while fun don't do much for me. However I truly start to hate your guts when I see vids like these. Between the Alaskan and the Sig 226 Stainless Steel vid I find myself having feelings I haven't had since I was 8 and seen Ginger from Giligan's Island walk around in tight dress knowing I couldn't touch thru the TV. I hate you so much right now....well time to check my bank balance again and flip a coin.

  • Sweet looking Ruger . Good video.

  • Thanks for the help Pete!

  • That gun gives me a chubby. Great buy Pete

  • I first saw this gun in the movie faster with Dewayne Johnson aka the Rock. That gun is freakin bad ass brother. I'm glad you showed this on your channel.I hope to buy one soon!!

  • I don't see a scratch ...

  • nice

  • IT DOES NOT SHOOT .410 YOU NEED SOMETHING THAT SHOOTS .410 LIKE THE S&W GOVERNOR

  • @wauguxx the Governor is a sweat gun

  • Now thats a real mans gun.

  • hey man love your channel and man i can't find that damn Ballistol! can i buy some from you?

  • I remember the first time I was shot out of a cannon.

  • dont eat the rag! lol

  • Pete, i am not a gun expert. But if i asked you whats the best gun manufacturer? and u had to answer right away (like a gun was pointed at you) Just for fun :)

    my guess is Ed Brown?

  • @cschmiedlechner no idea bro, thats like asking what the best ice cream.

  • @LargeCheesePizza nutnfancy is a fag pete is the man

  • that gun is sick brother! i honestly never heard of it until now

  • i really am not a fan of revolvers, but that is a badass fuckin revolver

  • @fuckinmetal1982 me 2 i had to have it

  • @theARMORYchannel yo about how much does one of those go for its beautiful

  • Congrats Pete, just picked one up last week but it is the .44 mag version. Just couldn't find the 454, but I'm super happy with it. Can't wait to see you shoot it.

  • real friggin nice gun ...I hope to own one but that will be a long time comin

  • YO Pete,

That scratch you mention is still there and it's friggin huge! It's visible @5:41. Also, I wouldn't call that a scratch, that's a gouge. I don't think this can be easily buffed out. If I were buying, I'd ask for a big discount or get not buy at all.

  • @supermaucat i thought that was the scratch too but if you look closely that line arches around the trigger,

  • @SonsOfLiberty65 Right. But that's the scratch (a gouge really... too deep to be a scratch). That line shouldn't be there.

It's really hard to fix that yourself... you need to precisely grind a fair bit of metal (few thousands) and grind it off so it's flat because it will reflect the light wrong if it's concave.

I wouldn't touch that myself... that should be sent to Ruger.

Shame really because it's a new gun.

  • @supermaucat i just got back from my gun shop and looked at the alaskan in 44 mag and 454 and they both had that line that arches above the trigger. Im picking up the 454 alaskan tuesday and ill make a video. maybe we are looking at two different lines?

  • @supermaucat it gone dork! get some glasses

  • @theARMORYchannel In the closeup of the gun, there is a line that is supposed to be there (underneath where you said the gouge was). I think that is what supermaucat is looking at.

  • @theARMORYchannel Congratulations for your new handcannon Pete! You did a good job deleting that scratch, but the sandpaper you show us it's suppose to be use wet. Wet 2000 over wet surface with small circle movements, wash it on every 10 seconds and it will become just like your other high polshed one, or you might just brush it with bronze round brush on slow motion dremel tool. anyhow, i wish you good luck on the range video. Revolvers are addiction for life.

  • @theARMORYchannel I think you're the one who needs them, dork.

  • @theARMORYchannel Lol, he thinks the line for the trigger assembly is a gouge. You'll find those on EVERY Ruger revolver! By the way pete, I got my Birchwood casey lead remover today, it worked fucking amazing on my GP100, thanks for the suggestion bro.

  • @theARMORYchannel I think he's looking at the join line between the trigger guard and frame and mistakes it for a "scratch".

  • @supermaucat ??? What gouge??That gun looks perfect!

  • Good choice man.. Good to see it back

  • Thats an awesome ruger bro! enjoy it

  • Youtube it? Why dont you make a shooting video?

  • @Nefarious79 i have 33 shooting videos dude, look at my play list

  • @theARMORYchannel And Ive seen most/if not all of them...I was referencing your comment in this video of the fireball from the 454/45LC

  • Dude, i love that revolver! Had my eye on it for a while now myself. great vid man, keep em com in

  • It's amazing how much more oomph the 45 Casull has compared to the 45 Colt with just a tiny bit of increase in length. Shooting the 45 Colt out of my S&W XVR felt like a 22, but the Casull felt like it had twice the powder. Is the 454 painful to shoot out of the Alaskan?

  • I like the way you kick yourself in the ass for doing stupid shit. I do the same thing. But you know what? We get shit done one way or another come hell or high water. There are very few people that have the integrity to admit screw ups like giving away your damn ammunition! When I sold my piece of shit Taurus LCP.380 I gave away three boxes of ammo with it. I took 200 bucks for it just to be rid of it. Then I got the Bersa Thunder .380. Guess what? NO F'n AMMO!!! I had to buy MORE. Live and Lrn

  • @NickiSig Nothing wrong with PBR Nicki ...

  • I SEENT IT, I SEENT THE SCRATCH

  • @NurseMan1911 that line is not a scratch. the alaskans have a line that arches over the trigger

  • The official and original cartridge designation is 45 Colt. Yes, it is also commonly and informally referred to as 45 long Colt.

  • Pete, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result! Stop selling ammo bud, you're going insane!

  • @NurseMan1911 He's not selling it. He gave it away with the gun like my stupid ass did when I sold my Taurus LCP .380 (3 Boxes). I got a Bersa Thunder .380 (one month later) and had to buy ammo all over again. My primary carry weapon is the Springfield XD .45 Tactical. Yeah, it's big, but it's GUUUUD!!!

  • I called Ruger asking about that pin.. the person I got on the line didn't know anything about it. Obviously if you got it and me too, it wasn't a fluke and obviously has a purpose.

Also, did you notice how the left side of the barrel now just says 'Read instruction manual' on these new Rugers? The old ones have a whole paragraph of legalese!

  • I'm gonna order that cloth. The cylinder face on my GP100 is NASTY, and I can't get it off as it is. Thanks for the suggestion Pete!

  • Fucking sweet Pete. I just bought one in .44 mag for Bonnie, this was her dream gun. Tomorrow is our 15th year wedding anniversary, and I'm taking it to the range with her police issue glock 22 that she wanted. I'm going to shred some targets and shed some tears.

    R.I.P. Bonnie Jene....

  • A W E S O M E!!!!!! I love your original vid on this revolver (Hungry Man / Hellboy)! Makes my .41mag PC657 look like a little baby!!!! I would love to see ya shoot some 454 through though, holy damnation!!!! If I had this this I'd probably just shoot 45lc only. hahahaha. oh and I love the smell of the "Lead Remover" cloth! It works well on stainless but not so sure on bluing. Awesome vid!

  • winchester 45lc PDX its a beast of a round made for the judge i think, Beast of gun Great to see ya getting some Guns Back

  • That pin is for the main spring strut - when you remove the grips, cock the hammer, there is a hole in the strut for the pin. You can then lower the hammer, remove the strut/spring assembly, remove the hammer pivot pin, remove the hammer, and remove the trigger group assembly.

    Piece of cake!

  • Yeah Buddy!

  • And random tidbit of info - the Ruger revolvers with a brushed stainless finish can be cleaned up perfectly with 800 grit wet/dry sandpaper.

  • Pete, go to moonclips (.) com - you can get your Alaskan's cylinder machined for Moonclips, so you'll be able to shoot 454 Casull, 45 Colt, 45 ACP (with moon clips), 45 Auto Rim, and 45 Schofield all in the same gun.

It only costs 100 bucks. Your fat ass spends more than that on fries each week at McDonalds.

  • Badass revolver Pete! Hey I was wondering if you could recommend a steel guide rod for my G21 gen3? I really like the channel man. I've learned a lot.

  • @GRIZZY357 get it at 1800 glock me

  • That is a great looking revolver bro

  • The Ruger "A" ! Sweet ... CONGRATS Pete ... !

  • That is a beast, glad you got it back. Honestly dudee you should give the desert eagle another shot. You are the ONLY person i know who didn't have a good experience. Mine runs like a god damn swiss watch.

  • Nice powerful revolver. Beefy as heck. By the way, the cartridge you keep mentioning is called a 45 Colt. 45 "long" Colt is a name people made up.

  • @geishpmp then why is LC on my ammo box? both terms are correct!

  • @theARMORYchannel Technically, he's correct. This is apparent because there is no .45 "Short" Colt. The .45 Colt was unofficially designated the .45 "Long" Colt to prevent confusion with the shorter .45 Schofield.

  • @geishpmp No, Long Colt is considered a name as well.

  • Dam Pete you can plug a really fat bastard with that thing!

  • @Gleyen Why the sarcasim? I'm sure Pete would'nt like to be affiliated with our current "President".

  • congrats on the steady growth on the channel pete, glad you got your baby back!

ill vouch for pete, he has always responded to my PM`s and comments. watching this now, flitzing a brand new s&w 686 .357 mag lol

  • hog leg, very nice

  • cor bon makes a gret self defence round in .45lc+p

  • That pin is indeed for the mainspring housing; there should be a section in your manual reagarding detail stripping the weapon, or at least there is in the SP101 manual. :P

  • The pin is so u can take down the main spring... Just cock the hammer, when the whole on the bottom of the spring is exposed then place the pin inside the whole... Hold it there then gently let down the hammer... Wahla the spring will come right out...,

    Bro you ROCK!!!!

  • That firearm is a beast Pete!!! That is the new Board Street Bully on the block lol.

  • Pete, if you have a bench grinder you can buy buffing wheels for it at Home Depot. In the same area they sell 1 inch tubes of grey and red paste to use with it. The grey is emery paste and the reds is jewelers rouge. Swap off your grind wheel for the buffer, when its spinning hold the grey paste up to it, load the buffer and then buff your gun. It works so good if you stay in one place too long it emery paste will buff off stamped lettering. Then switch to the red for mirror finish.

  • I have wanted that same revolver for over 5 years! I just cant afford it.

Did you know you have a Barack Obama add before this vid?

  • How about them Bruins and flyers

  • @HuntingTimeAdventure thats right old time bad asses!

  • So pretty.

  • The best part is... once you use all 6, you can use it as a club lol! cool gun pete!

  • Dude...You fucking rock! Keep that shit up!

  • @djquack12 thanks bro

  • That gun is sick Pete... Im happy that you got your gun back bro.

  • @lethalmach1 me 2 thanks buddy

  • @theARMORYchannel I have been thinking of buying a revolver but I dont like the small ones... I love the bigger ones like the super blackhawk HUNTER!! lol!!

  • very nice gun pete! congrats on your new member of the family! DO NOT GET RID OF IT THIS TIME!!!

  • @fordxbgtfalcon ill try lol

  • Damn Obama ads...

  • Good to see you are getting the boys back, the finish on that Ruger is awesome.

  • that is an awesome gun pete, can see why you are glad to have it back!!!

  • congratulations on the new beast!!!

  • pete save a little more and open a range!

  • Faster: Slow justice...is no justice.

  • Pete, this is off topic, but bro you've lost some weight man!

  • Never, ever get rid of ammo.

  • Great looking Ruger Alaskan Pete.

  • sweet gun pete! i had a raging bull in .454( well i had a couple raging bulls another in 44 magnum). 454 was mofo awesome:)

  • All I have to say is SA-Wheat!!

  • @MrKZizzle thanks

  • Damn it pete..im broke all the time cuz i watch your channel lol

  • @187Kdogg me 2 lol

  • Nice gun Pete

  • @gunmanbryan243 thank you

  • @theARMORYchannel have u seen the third season of suns of guns and if so what did u think of it?

  • Ruger is so badass i wouldnt even know where to start. Every time we get a shipment from them my day is made. Starting with the MKIII up to the P9 lined by a whole galaxy of satin finished revolvers and not to forget the variety of 10/22s with the new BX25 magazine that fits as well to the SR22. Or how about its bigger brother the SR556 and my new personal favorites the mini-14 and 30 ( i wonder if that 14's ATI-Stock fits on the mini 14). This Brand is just hard to resist

  • @37238315692 i love my MKIII

  • @theARMORYchannel no wonder. i had some versions of it in my hands last year and even if i havent shot one yet i instantly liked how it felt and how unique its engineered and styled. except for the fluted barrels i'd rather go for the fat mean-looking match barrels even if its not neccesary at this barrel-length or cal. not exactly .454 btw Magtech sells the 454 as handgun hunting cartrige :D. Hellboy ... that name fits it

  • that gun is a beast

  • I think I just exploded in my pants. Thanks Pete!!

  • @Mr556tactical your welcome!

  • I trade constantly, and do the same damn thing. I had four 9mm's this year, and every time I trade it for a different caliber, I give the ammo away for extra boot.

  • 45 LC is a great round. pretty cool combo...blaster and master blaster. enjoy!

  • I'd still rather .45-70 or a 12ga slug for bear.

  • Pete, watch this (/watch?v=FKI1xmtf5Ck). 454 stops a buffalo by Lynn Thompson (Cold Steel owner).

  • hey i was think of buying a ed brown whats the warrnty are these double action

  • Hey Pete I ordered some Balistol and its the 16 ounce can but it didnt come with a spray nozzel. do they all come with a spray nozzel?

  • @Nicho2177 umn i boxed about 50 Bottles (a 500ml) of it today for a shipment..and i made sure all of them had the nozzel attached. To bad they werent ment for export, i havent seen the export-can design from up close yet. Our cans Ballistol-Cans are in the classic german red white green design. But Hell from time to time someone even orders the 5 liter cannister far enough to drown in it :D Anyway i wonder if it would be cost effective if you order that stuff over here.

  • that is one SWEET lookin' revolver!

Congrats on getting one back in your collection.

  • PS: If you want that gun to really look sharp give the cylinder, trigger, and hammer a high polish and then bead blast the body of the gun. It looks awesome that way.

  • @TheYankeeMarshal nobody else knows how to do that well but you :-)

  • I used to have one of those, but I sold it when I decided to get a S&W m629. Now I kind of want one again.

  • Pete, glad u got the Alaskan back. Been wanting one for awhile, was also thinking of a .44 mag snubby to carry. However, I am doing some hand loading with a buddy. I could load .45 LCs up to .44 mag power and use them instead, the frame will certainly handle it, and can use 454s if needed. Best of both worlds and can get by with just one gun.

  • It's so big you could beat the shit out of somebody if it wasn't loaded.

  • Bad ass gun pete, I want one so bad

  • Holy fuck. That's a beautiful firearm. I might cry.

  • Glad to see you got it back man congratulations

  • I love that gun id like to have it in about a 4.5inch barrel though. (not sure what barrel lengths they come in0

  • Damn, look at the crowning of the muzzle on that bad boy! I'm drooling! Because there is so much metal, it looks like a decorative piece/fine piece of machinery.

Pete YOU R DA MAN! Your expertise' with metals, and gun finishes was extremely informative! Thank you! And I have to point out that I LAUGHED MY FUCKING ASS OFF when you talked about spell check, and how every word in your sentences has red underling it AHAHAHAHAHAH! Thumbs up bro! I love seeing this channel grow since your 5th vid!

  • The prices are a bit higher but at least your getting a nice "NEW" gun. not some gun thats been handled by a 100 shitbags. Let's go FLYERS!

  • I make the same ammo mistake myself when I get rid of guns sucks...Always wind up getting the same caliber in something else later on lol. Sweet pick up bro

  • @MrCleanerNash thanks man

  • Hey Pete that does look like a hellboy gun and if you ever run out of ammo you could beat someone to death with it. Nice gun bro hope you enhoy it

  • Congrats on getting the Alaskan back bro that's a kick ass revolver.

  • BADASS Bro!!!

  • 'It gives us the feeling that guns give us'~ that is the quote of the year.

  • nice gun good to see you got it back now it needs to be polished up and itll be a beauty

  • Id like to see more DVD reviews. Im A BIG MOVIE BUFF.

  • Seems like your going back to your roots with this Ruger, Pete :. Classic Armorychannel;)

  • I have that Bad Ass Casull too, I heard it shoots a little more than just .454 and .45 long colt.... Do you know if it takes any other type of .45 round??

  • Bad Mamma Jamma!

  • Great new pistol Pete how much is the power factor between the 454 & Toms 500 snubby !!.Thanks Bro

  • That's a tits as hell pistol Pete. Ha, I made a funny ('Pistol Pete'). I may be transferring to Alaska & this may be a wise purchase for me. I'm thinking the .454 Casull shouldn't have a problem stopping a bear. ? Anyway, I would LOVE to see vid of you shooting this beast. lol

  • @thearmorychannel i totally copied you! im picking up mine Tuesday. How is the recoil? does it really hurt? i had bad dreams about the recoil last night lol

  • dude that gun looks real nice, you just made me add it to my list.

  • With the right load a .45LC will handle any of those south philly bears.
