  • that kit is so expensive..

  • whats a bult lol

  • I think that Honda GX35 engine is 35cc. But i dont know what is the RPM of this engine. Can you tell me ? I would like to make a chainsaw bike with gripping on rear tyre.(chainsaws have about 7000-10 000 RPM). What speed can i get from 46cc chainsaw motor and 3.2HS??

  • mam taki sam silnik z kosy honda tak myślałem jak wstawić go w rower i teraz już wiem jutro zabieram się do pracy nad moim rowerem .dzienki za pomysł

  • Stupid woodpecker

  • I have a R460 goped motor on a rear friction keep popping my rear tire why help all my videos are on youtube. Charlenecarter60

  • you idiot you cant buy that kit he made it him self. derp.

    good job though looks good

  • how does the drive roller work in the rain ?

  • The engine is 2 or 4 stroke ?

And the kit , what is the part number ? I do need number to order.

Thanks for posting . Please reply !!! I realy preciate.

  • It looks interesting but I didn´t like much this model.

For me the engine must drive the transmission and not directly the tires.

I´d prefer a motorized scooter rather than this.

  • esse video e a minha cara

  • lol he says balts instead of bolts

  • civic type R engine would kill the back tire i tried it on a full carbon it doesnt work out too well (Broken arm or leg if your unlucky) it does a fucking wheeley when you let it ripe and you go upside down

  • How much did this kit cost? and nice woodpecker in the background haha

  • Wouldn't this rip the tire ?

  • Very nice! Simple, easy to install and an enjoyable ride. Only problem, at least in my state, I don't think it can be road legal. Here we need to have turn signals, brake light, maybe mirrors and I think a certain type of brakes per code. Maybe there would be a way to also run a generator and have a small moped battery to power turn signals and such. If there's a will there's a way!

  • Hope you have stock in a bicycle tire company.

  • you can build a bike exactly like this yourself for half the price of buying this kit and seeing the gear ration on how small the spindle is you can probably go no faster than 20mph and building one yourself you can use any engine you want

  • Check out the magnetic motor kits for bikes ,more power, cleaner, no fumes, and you can charge the battery overnight at home.fantastic much faster than this thing,no offense

  • Random bee...

  • will i have to weld for this kit? and why is it out of stock on the website?

  • Muy ingenioso, enhorabuena

  • is he saying bolts or balls

  • the Driver Roller has teeth small which produces friction and bike runs but due to this life cycle of tyre of bicycle will reduces to one month only :-) sproket type engine kits are good only

  • I've got a 6.5hp greyhound engine, do you think that'll fit the kit?

  • will i need the clutch advertised for an extra 72 dollars or will it have one? thanks

  • does the kit come with me motor

  • can all bicycle engine kits be mounted to any size bike?? I have a 21" mens mountain/road hybrid and the kit info says to mount it on a 24"-26" mens, but a lot of these vids have it on bikes smaller than that... please help

  • How fast can this motor go?

  • that is probly the worst way to motorize a bike cuz it ruins tires and terrible power. get a kit from gasbike.net for like $150 and includes everything, has manual clutch (allows for push start and better in general), has throttle cables and handles, complete kit better mounting. its chain drive and engine is inside frame

  • Comment removed

  • Friction drive is simple and reliable. This kit looks a lot like every other friction drive kit. The in frame 2 stroke "China Girl" kits are much lower quality (rag joint spoke breaker, dangerous chain tensioner, cheesy clutch mechanism, weak engine mounting system, enough vibration to break steel frames, etc.) but they can be made to work if you have the time to fix things as they break. I've installed 2 China Girl kits and one Staton friction drive kit. There are rear chain drive kits too.

  • this is a horrible kit

    (in my opinion)

  • why was a one way bearing put on in the first place? whats the difference? will this mean the bike wont freewheel under higher speeds lke going downhill?

  • is this lawful to dricve in chicago

  • is this lawful to drive in chicago , illinois, i hope they dont give me ticket for driving this

  • that was a big ass bee on 0:56

  • wie lahm

    too slow

  • That's the same kickstand I have on my 1988 Novara X-R! ;-) that's awesome! :)

  • cool but care full of mud it would plash in the engine

  • The Woodpeckers are tripping me out.

  • does these work with a 43cc engine

  • this is awesome i have one i got it last year. sweet

  • 0:55 a fucking bee

  • only the damn kit without the motor cost $140. motor can cost like $100. total $240.(without the cost of bike) not a good way to spend your money. I can buy a brand new minibike 4hp, 4 cylce under $250. Don't waste your money on these.

  • @neverlast666 Hondas are always expensive, but they're worth it.

  • @neverlast666 The reason people spend money on these is because bicycles with motor are street legal. Minibikes are not street legal.

  • @beholdcaesar If thats the case you can buy a motor gas bicycle kit 80cc on ebay for your bike then. It includes everything you need to make your bike run on fuel under $110. I can send you the link if you desire.

  • @neverlast666 I already owned one of cheap ebay kits, , and they are crap. What you pay is what you get. This kit, attached to a 40cc Honda motor (that comes with 3 year warranty) should last thousands of miles with very little maintenance.

  • Does anyone know if it will work on a Cub Cadet CC4025

  • How fast can this thing get if i am 100 pounds at full speed

  • Great vid, very informative.

  • To bad its illegal in NY or id be all over this.

  • I have A stingray cropper bike (I am 13 years old) And can that fit it? replay if you can

  • @jjualvare welli was told that by my dad and he was told by his mom and she was there for it.

when my dad told me he said that everyone would call me lier. i have listening problems and learning problems so maybe my dad didn't say he was the first one but he said that my great grandfather did come up with the idea and we could be rich right now

    dont hate :)

  • Great vids very informative. What size is the fuel tank and what is the max range on a full tank?

  • do you have to have that exact engine or could it be from a different company?

  • woody the woodpecker

  • my great grandfather invented this idea. he first thought of it and built the first one. he worked for dupont and his boss heard about his invention, got him drunk, and made him sign the rights over to dupont. we would be millionars right now. most people might not believe me but it is true. my great grandfather got it patned and everything. all of those cc motors, without him someone might have come up with it but he did. he died in 75 and regreted that sign over till the day he died.

  • @flaflafla47 bullshit. look up Félix Millet, built a motorized bike in the late 1800's, and a sweet one at that. uses a rotary engine built into the rear wheel. great design. your gramps may have had that idea, but he was FAR from the first one

  • how fast will it go?

  • wher can i get thiss kit!?!

  • @PyRoViPeRaPaChE Check the beginning of the video, it shows you on screen where you can get it.

  • @jb1970ny post a link

  • @jb1970ny what do you think about a 48cc chainsaw engine with a little bit wider of a tire

  • i have a 24cc engine that i got from a craftsman leafblower. would it be the right size to fit this kit? i dont know much about engines btw. if not, any ideas on what i could do with it?

  • @mrmeatballs92 No that engine would not be compatible with this kit. Most weed trimmer engines use a smaller 54mm clutch instead of the 78mm that this kit uses.

  • can this be mounted on a bmx, and where can i buy a kit?

  • @allaeor Yes it can be mounted on a BMX. It can be mounted on any size bike

  • is that a woodpecker i hear???

  • how well does it pull on big hills?

  • @Rescue913 The kit comes with 2 diamond knurled steel drive rollers, 1.00" and 1.25" diameters. The 1.00" diameter drive roller will result in more low end power but less top speed. This is good for hill climbing or heavier riders. The 1.25" diameter drive roller will result in higher top speed but less low end power. This is good for flat terrain or lighter riders. The roller size that may be best for you also depends on the power of your engine.

  • What happend to bicycling?

  • @Eagle21trueGabriel It got better

  • how much was that kit jb1970ny

  • what is the top speed? plz answer i need it like today plz

  • @Heem24100 Top speed is about 30 mph with the 1.25" roller - some people claim to go faster. Either way you should keep it under 25mph - that's plenty fast for a bicycle.

  • @jb1970ny no its no i can do 45 mph with pedals on mtb 13 kilo's and when i hitted 47 with my dad's mtb the hendal bar is going crazy

  • the thing i like most about mounting it on a bike, is if you run out of gas, all you have to do is pedal to the next gas station. i have experience of running out of gas a few miles away from home on my goped, not only do you have to pick it up and carry it, you have to mix oil in with the fuel as well, which is hard to do when u need to have a precise mixture.

  • Do you know if there's a way to remove the clutch on those engines and just use the shaft? I'm thinking of a total 48:1 reduction through a gearbox and sprocket to a large cog on the left pedal. I don't need the clutch cause I want to be able to start the engine by pedalling.

  • Not that I'm aware of as there is no shaft on these engines. You should just look for an engine with a shaft like the Honda GXH50

  • its not illegal right

  • question;>DO YOU KNOW IF IT IS LEGAL TO HAVE AN ENGINE ON THE BIKECYCLE DO YOU THING I WILL HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE POLICE.

would you please answer my cuestion. tank you

  • but all the motor weight is sitting on one side!! thats goanna throw off ur weight!!

  • You don't feel it at all. The engines only weigh 7-9 lbs - once you're riding it isn't even a factor.

  • Hei is a mega cool idea that I thought really.

I would really like to even try to build such a bike with a motor.

so I hear you have some drawings for it. :)

    Many Greetings

    Mikkel (Denmark)

  • how much did all this equipment cost??

  • Thank u

  • What do I do if there's no holes for the rear support rodds?

  • You would have to drill holes if that is the case - just about all bikes have these except for some kids bikes.

  • Can u put it on a kids bike???

  • Yes it can mount on any size bicycle regardless of tire or frame size.

  • Do you know the most cheepest engine I can get that is compatible with the bike? And also is it street legal?

  • The least expensive would be a 2 cycle China made import. Either a 43cc or 49cc works best. It's only street legal if you can convince the cop it is, which they usually will buy.

  • @jb1970ny Actually, in many states this is called a "motor assisted" bike and has less rules than for a moped. I found the rules once on the State of Florida website, but no longer have it. Make a copy give it to the cop.

  • how much was the honda motor m8

  • @scottT1995 About $225 for the Honda GX35

  • where can i buy it?

  • you can't post web addresses here but - check out the beginning of the video, it shows where you can get it.

  • doesnt it tear up the tire

  • No, not if you have your drive roller pressure on the tire correct. You can get 1000's of mile out of a tire.

  • what is the spindle made of looks like a rubber layer???

  • It is steel, not rubber. They do offer a rubber drive roller but the steel one is better.

  • how much was the engine and is their a 2 stroke 35 cc engine for the bike ?

  • Could someone please measure the distance between the parallel red pieces that hold the drive shaft ?

I am afraid that my tires are to wide for this mount.

    Thanks, Kaz

  • It's about 3.75", plenty of room for just about any bicycle tire.

  • Thanks and how much did it cost?

  • It's about $150 without the engine - check out their website for info.

  • 6:01 i hear a wood pecker

  • Awesome.

  • Is that a woodpecker in the background LOL?

  • where can you buy this kit

  • Got the kit and engine yesterday. Took less than 1/2 hour to install on Schwinn Ranger following your video. Works great! Got stopped 3 times by people wanting information while riding today in Gilbert,AZ. Sent them to your video on Youtube. Thanks for posting, I never would have thought to do it by myself.

  • great video helps!

  • I have the BMP kit mounted on a beach cruiser using a 50 cc 2-stroke engine and it is great! the kit installed very easily in less than 30 minutes and I ride every day and have had no problems at all. My bike will go over 33 mph and I love it.

Thanks for such a great kit.

    Bill

  • Thanks Bill - are you using the engine you got from Monster scooter parts?

  • Yes. It bolts right on and is already set up for a throttle with a cable adjuster built in. I would put this motor up against any other 2-stroke I have seen out there. I have a video of my bike on my channel here under my name Pirate88179 with more videos to come.

    Bill

  • Great video! tanks

  • does the u-bracket and rear support rod come with the kit?

  • yes it comes with everything you need

  • where can u buy this?

  • I really enjoyed the video...

    Thanks :D

  • does anyone know the hp on a 49cc Scooter Engine with Manual Pull Start or a 49cc/ Scooter Engine with Electric Start thx to whoever can help

  • it's about 2HP. Some 49cc engines are listed at 2.2 HP. Bottom line is it's plenty fast and powerful for this kit

  • where did you get that kit

  • hey does anyone know if u can use a 49cc Scooter Engine with Manual Pull Start OR a 49cc/ Scooter Engine with Electric Start for an engine... i saw where it had the right clutch but i didnt see if it had the right 4 mounting holes to mount it on the bike thing??? can anyone help?

  • yes it sounds like that is a compatible engine. The 4 hole bolting pattern is the same on just about all these engines.

  • another question :):):):) does the electric start 49 cc engine have a optional pull start or is it only electric. thx for ur help btw

  • it also has a pull start

  • and u sure that the 4 hole mounting pattern is good on both these engines??? i just wanted to make sure that it was before i spent $120 on it.

thx so much, uve been a great help

  • what about huffy

  • yea it should i have a huffy bike and on mine it has hole to mount engine and so should urs. hope i helped any. lolz :)

  • Would one of these kits be able to mount to a bike with 24" wheels?

  • yes - it can be mounted to a bike with wheels from 16" to 27" no problem. Doesn't matter what size wheel you are using, the gearing remains the same with a friction drive system. If you use a chain drive system the gearing would change depending on the wheel size.

  • Unfortunately the GX25 is not compatible. The older Honda GX31 and the newer GX35 are the compatible models with this kit.

  • could i use a honda gx25??

  • This is the cleanest set up there is.Even the flat surfaced tire is well suited for the friction drive. I think most of us would just really like to know part names and #s. Thanks so much for tearing your bike down and making the assembly video for us.

  • Most of the kit is from custom made parts. There are only a few stock parts like the bearings, quick release assembly and some hardware. Drive roller, engine channel, drive shaft, and U-bracket, and some clutch drums are parts we make.

  • about how much money does it cost?, and will it work on a bmx bike with smooth tires?

  • Do these work when its wet, or if going through light water. Will it start to slip. Also whats the damage\wear and tear on the tire after a certain amount of usage.

  • No, they are really only intended for use on dry roads. The drive roller will slip when it gets wet - you can still ride if you get caught in the rain but you have to apply much less throttle and pedal long or you may damage your tire. You should expect 500-1000+ miles out of your tire.

  • does any motor work?

  • No, the engine has to have a 78mm centrifugal clutch - check out the website for info on compatible engines

  • Great video quality.

  • what he said v

  • were do you buy this kit??

  • search for "bikemotorparts" thats the web address, you just need to add the beginning and and of a web address

  • is it street legal? cause it's loud or something... I want one cause i like bikes and sometimes i get tired so it would be cool to turn it on and go! :D what is a normal price for one of those?

  • You could always upgrade the small 1.5 L tank to a bigger one couldn't you? Make your adventures longer and more pleasant.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes...Tenho uma roçadeira com o mesmo motor dessa Bike,uma Honda UMK 435 com o motor GX35 e fico feliz de saber o quanto ela é potente,rs.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know if motorized bicycle are street legal in New York and if you need a driver license to use this? = )

  • Great video you are very thorough. I watched both videos one and two and plan on getting an engine on my bike. Keep up the good work!

  • everything u used comes with the kit i dont have to go buy anything?

  • yes everything besides the engine. The throttle setup and kill button are optional.

  • how to u control throdle did u make a rig to do that or

  • no you do not rig it yourself - the throttle cable and lever style throttle come with the kit

  • How fast does this bike go in the end?

  • you will do between 25-30 mph depending on the weight of the rider and the engine HP.

  • because it's reliable, rugged, inexpensive, and simple to install on any bike. Chain drive is great if you buy the right kit which will run you about $550. The cheap chain drive kits you see out there for about $125 are basically toys and not reliable at all.

  • So, why friction drive and not chain?

  • I was browsing the net this evening and saw your video. What a superb bit of kit. I am going to order the parts and give it a try, especially now that thanks to your vid, I know exactly what to do. Checked the websites you list and both companies ship to the UK.

Not sure if the wife will thank you though (laughs!).

  • how much does an engine like that cost?

  • about $150 for the kit, and between $100 and $250 for the engine depending on whay you get

  • Where can I get one of these kits?

  • bikemotorparts

  • Would a 33cc chainsaw engine work on these kits?

  • No, a chainsaw engine uses a smaller clutch. It would be a little too loud anyway, your neighbors wouldn't like it.

  • Hey, How small of a bike can I put this on? I have a small bike and I want to put it on.

  • you can mount it on any size bike

  • You could use,or put a tree speed coster at your traction whell. You will get power and speed

  • does the kit use bearings or bushings

  • yes the kit uses 2 bearings, one on each side of the engine channel. They are 1/2" ID x 1-3/8" OD with a retaining ring, high quality high speed style.

  • thank you!

  • no that engine would not be compatible with this kit. any engine with a shaft will not work on this kit- it needs to have a 76mm clutch rotor

  • hey guys, i was wondering if i could use a 5hp Horizontal 3/4"x2.44" Keyed Shaft, OHC, Recoil Start, Constant Speed Throttle

honda engine instead of the one you guys used, it weighs 33 pounds so do u think it will be ok, as in will the frame support it? so please get back to me with the answer ty

  • is it legal in the state of ny
