First of all who r u? Second of all, only a True watchmen fanatic would say that it was a great movie. So riddle me this, batman, what was your favorite part? The monotonous flashbacks, the blood-splattering fight scenes, or the fact that it was probably the only comic book movie where one of the heroes shows his big blue dick on the silver screen???? 1. dbz is a great anime but would be impossible to make live action so thats why they will always suck
2. they will never follow the anime or manga so unlike superhero comics they think they can get away with more changes because we as americans are not expected to know the story well and it's not as common as batman or superman hence you can change everything except that goku wins at the end of the movie

Oh Random 1s I just heard on the radio in the Philly metro that they are putting alternate endings at the end of the credits. But the kicker is that diferenet theaters will have different alternate endings. So to all of us who will be in the theaters Hang Tight True Belivers and see it twice in different theaters. Fox Needs Buck$!!!!!! I only wish I had came up with the Tiger striped yellow surgical mask before now I could hav made Millions. No That would have been wrong but creative.

I was never into the comics so i can't say much about faithfulness but its as good as the first two films and way better than the crapfest 3rd film.
My only complaints about it are the fact that Wolverine has claws before getting his skeleton done and the fact that they cheated me out of Gambit again. Sure he's in it but what a pathetic portrayal and insignificant role.
What, you mean his natural claws? The ones he already had before? Because those are a natural part of his skeleton; at one point in the comics somewhere he loses the metal and he still has the claws.

They cut back the date so it can be closer to Wolverine, and in all that time, it could have been made better, but noooo, all the money and attention went to this movie. Its a good flick. not exactly like the comics, but if it was what would all the fanboys gripe about!? Even though you know how it ends, before you leave your house, I would recommend for fans and newbies alike.
It's an ADAPTATION it's not supposed to be "exactly like the comics". It's the same thing when they make books into movies. They are going to frick it up but you have to think of it as two different entities or else your just never going to be satisfied. well um, everybody knows this already, this has been used in comics, cartoons, the whole nine yards, only his chick is silver fox in some of the cartoons, that is killed by dog logan, (sabertooth).
i know that's what i said, i also heard that clairmont, who wrote the origins, (both i believe), stated that the similarities wasn't intentional, but if any other writer had wanted to make dog logan sabertooth, they were more than welcome, and from what i looked up, that is what happned here.

A friend of mine got a hold of a copy of the film and I watched it at his place... My first thought after watching the movie: There goes nearly 25 years worth of stories and character development that has to be rewritten.
The movie is slightly better and more entertaining than the other X-Men films, but that's like saying dog shit is better than cat shit, because the dog's doesn't smell as bad.
The sad thing is that this movie will be huge opening weekend because regular folks who don't know any better will march in there and just blindly hand over their money. They aren't getting a fucking DIME of my money. Shit, I'll hand it over to Star Trek gladly, and I'm not even a Trekkie.
wolverine is just a movie version of his second origins, just read the comic, and for thoes who don't know yet, Logan's real name is James Howlett also James Logan being that his mom was either raped or had an affair, can't remember which, also, Victor Creed may be an assumed name now, his real name is Dog Logan, Wolverine's half brother. although never stated by clairmont, but it was made certain in the movie.

But lets assume you did read some of his comics, lets look at what deadpool is: he's a guy who kills and talks shit. People could care less about the costume. The point is that they essentially took away half of what makes deadpool, deadpool.

The costume is pretty important, though. It visually ties the viewer to the comic version; even in the X-men films, the leather costumes they wore had a passing resemblance to the outfits their characters wore in the comics. Heck, given that it was supposed to take place in the "real" world, I'd say they did a great job. There's no reason why Deadpool couldn't have just as impressive a costume as his comic-book inspiration.

By the way of effects this looks like a great movie but we all must remember that you have to give it a marketable twist that no one may have expected. It's sort of a reboot of its own. Whether It is sucsessfull or not that remains to be seen but The Ghosts of Girlfriends past is quakin in its pumps I betcha......

It's an ADAPTATION it's not supposed to be "exactly like the comics". It's the same thing when they make books into movies. They are going to frick it up but you have to think of it as two different entities or else your just never going to be satisfied. Your also forgetting that there are millions of new fans who know NOTHING about X-Men so the studios have to cater to them too. I want to see it because I love action films and X-men. Stop hating nobody said you had to watch it, God.

Wolverine sickened by this leaves to the Canadian woods were he becomes a lumberjack and has a GF. Meanwhile Sabetooth starts to hunt other members of the special military group and finds logan, Sabertooth kills Logan's GF to provoke him, it works they fight Wolverine is defeated but not killed. The only conclusion I can come up with is that FOX has absolutely no faith in the intelligence of the average moviegoer and fan.
His memory should have been screwed up after the process to lace his bones with the metal. In the X-Men films that was his last memory.

Yeah, the continuity between this one and the others is FUCKED. Remember in X2 how we saw him running naked and BLEEDING after the procedure? This movie? Not a DROP of blood. It's actually really tame compared to the brutal shit from X2.

A friend of mine got a hold of a copy of the film and I watched it at his place... My first thought after watching the movie: There goes nearly 25 years worth of stories and character development that has to be rewritten.
The movie is slightly better and more entertaining than the other X-Men films, but that's like saying dog shit is better than cat shit, because the dog's doesn't smell as bad.

wolverine is just a movie version of his second origins, just read the comic, and for thoes who don't know yet, Logan's real name is James Howlett also James Logan being that his mom was either raped or had an affair, can't remember which, also, Victor Creed may be an assumed name now, his real name is Dog Logan, Wolverine's half brother. although never stated by clairmont, but it was made certain in the movie.

I will not likely be seeing the movie for a couple of weeks, yet. I want to see it so much, but I am not a fan of the way Fox typically handles their adaptations of other people's franchises (like, oh, say, Dragonball). I will likely wait a while until the hype wears down before I go see it.

But lets assume you did read some of his comics, lets look at what deadpool is: he's a guy who kills and talks shit. People could care less about the costume. The point is that they essentially took away half of what makes deadpool, deadpool.
(also im just noticing that he doesnt use any guns in this movie. thats not a problem but I think its kinda weird)

The costume is pretty important, though. It visually ties the viewer to the comic version; even in the X-men films, the leather costumes they wore had a passing resemblance to the outfits their characters wore in the comics. Heck, given that it was supposed to take place in the "real" world, I'd say they did a great job. There's no reason why Deadpool couldn't have just as impressive a costume as his comic-book inspiration.
