The russian athem composer was Alexander Alexandrov. the soviet union adopted it in 1944 the lyrics were changed 3 offical times from stalins verson,1977 verson and again in 2000 for the russian federation so the lyrics in the newist one do's NOT included eny lyics from the former soviet union anthems.
