  • This isn't David Berlind, it's Greg Proops lol. Never heard of api mashups before, just for songs.

  • i made ten today

  • Why couldn't we stick with the word "embedded?"

  • try deixto.com - it's free and very powerfull

  • thnx, Well done!

  • how much is this going to cost the consumer?

  • nice explanation

  • great explanation!!

  • Haha... if you want to know what a "mashup" is then check out my mixes!!

Best mash ups out there!! You won't be disappointed!

  • @DJDownUnderMashUp Some of us make a living out of development, web systems integration and other technological means, instead of taking mass quantities of ecstasy, robbing your neighbours TV and sticking two songs together with your dick

  • he spelled internet wrong :D (internt)

  • Good understanding and simple and clear presentation of the subject.

  • well explained!

  • Very informative and easy to understand. So often I've run into concepts or disciplines (like computer scripting) that looked and sounded really complex, and had experts in the field try to explain it to me as if I were a fellow expert and should be getting it. Then when someone like this explains it in layman's terms, I get it right away, and it turns out to be a lot simpler than I thought.

  • Mate i no exactly what you mean i think people like to make things more complicated than what they are.

But it seems very difficult to find this kind of example on the net

  • Definitely made it easy for a technotard like me to understand. Thanks.

  • i dont get it, does it mean that i can create an application and then make it of say google map to enhance my application for free!? please help me here =(

  • very pedogogical... even I understood!

  • he spelt internet wrong.

    its interesting though.

  • he spelt spelt wrong

  • looks like cox...

  • Loved it

  • If you compare OS API to a buch of web services, like this guy, and then say there is no difference, you really are an idiot. Let's just stop going to school, get on youtube and listen to ZDNet guys.

  • i'm not saying you're wrong, but i didn't hear him say there was no difference between web services and OS APIs. all i heard him talk about was a shifting paradigm of programs on the computer to programs on the internet, and the API analogy was (presumably) used to show the inherent ease of use in web services. web services are clearly taking over the domain of traditional OS-based programs, so i don't think it's quite what you interpreted it as.

  • WTF, is the camera on a bungee cord or what?!

  • Amazing analogy.. thank you for sharing this video :)

  • Excellent video thanks for posting.

  • IBM has just release a Mashup Framework and a internet based IDE to develop your own mashups. (S+S)

  • Crazy stuff!!!

But it is our virtual space evolving to be something verry powerful!

  • yes he does. the question is whether you're using APIs or SOA (service oriented architectures).

  • I think so, because it's really the core of mashups: Combining available content with other via APIs
