will you people quite with your sappy same old shit about him "dieing" Some of you talk like you personally knew the guy, which I'm sure is highly not the case. Oh and quite with that generic "RIP RICK!" You just sound like a jackass, because legends never die. Talk about his music, not his "death".
I WOULD FLY FROM FLA. TO ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD TO PAY RICK A VISIT, SIT NEXT TO HIM AND PLAY WAVES ALLDAY, WELL DONE MY FRIEND , HOPE TO SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE. WITH YOUR KEYBOARD......................................
I am amazed that every one who has commented on the tracks from this LP has failed to comment on the saxophonist, Mel Collins. I have been playing sax for over 30 years and never got into all the names thrown at me. Then one lost weekend I heard this LP and new that this guy is something special, so at ease with his instrument, and so off the wall with creativity. It's no wonder RW asked him to be on this record. Both he and Snowy White take the instrumental tracks to the outer limits. wiki him
Thanks for posting this and all of the rest of this great album......Next to David Gilmour's first solo album this has always been my favorite solo work of any of the members of PF.
Thanks for the great music Mr. Wright and may you Rest in Peace!
I completely forgot this album... Shame on me. Still got the vynil tho. I guess this track has to have been my favourite, in all its simpleness. Kinda makes you want to wander to all the secret corners of the world and discover their secrets.
I could have swore that I read somewhere that there were many many parts of this album that were to be included on Pink Floyds Wish You Were Here album. Not whole songs, just some parts but Roger Waters didn't think they were good enough. Can anyone confirm this?In my opinion Wet Dream is my all-time favorite solo project from any member of Pink Floyd.
Yeah poor Rick was very underrated and with all the David Vs Roger stuff he was kind of fogotten in recent times. Im glad he enjoyed the David Gilmour tour recently he really seemed too. Thanks for everything Rick.
Thanks for the post Back2TFuture. I love Rick's work in this album and all his contributions to Pink Floyd which were largely overlooked by the general public.
I love this song! R.P.I Rick!

@ringlandboy Mel is fantastic. Played a lot with Camel and King Crimson in the seventies.
Check out First Light by Camel , great solo at the end.
