there's absolutely no reason tissue or toilet paper has to be made from virgin forests anymore. It's a damned shame. The industry leaders should lead the way in using sustainable resources and deserve any grief they get for not doing so

Maybe you should be educated on something other than a tree losing its life."You may think Recycled paper and fiber is good and the best environmental choice for everything.NOT ALWAYS!"To use recycled fiber for tissue and personal hygiene products would require large amounts of energy and chemicals, and would generate large amounts of waste and sludge." So would you rather save a tree, or walk around in your own waste with no Kimberly Clark products to clean yourself with?!
Hey blplyr24. I am working for a company that does life cycle assessments of products, which are environmentally comparisons. I can assure you, that the production of normal paper requires much more energy and chemicals and causes more waste than the production of recycled paper. So you are acutally wrong.
Define irony: an environmental group protests the destruction of forrests for the use of paper products but uses a styrofoam poster board for their "contract"
no irony - just using whatever it takes to get the message out....
What's ironic is that folks like kmb0081 apparently aren't smart enough to recognize when their world is in danger as a direct result of the unscrupulous greed and avarice of MNCs and as well as local corporations.
HEY nukevin-mister wonderful!! What's your claim to fame? Any clue to the illegal deforestation causing catastrophic damage to our natural resources for the self gratification and greed of moneyhungry, corrupt people who belong in jail and stripped of their resources. GO GREENPEACE
Thanks for your courage and creativity. There's no excuse for turning ancient forests into toilet paper when more sustainable wood and recycled fiber exist. C'mon Kleenex and Kimberly-Clark: Green up your act!
They are doing a great job. Thanks Greenpeace. Just carry on your impressive mission. By the way I love those boxes labeled "Save The Boreal".
