I got my rc car for a good price ($220au) and it works great, lots of people think ebay is crappy and a scam but its actually the cheapest and best way to get like anything. but if theres something way too good to believe then it could be a scam, just look at the sellers feedback for an idea of how trustworthy they are. there are people on ebay who have like a company for selling rc cars, and thats all they sell so you can trust them. so yeah i reccomend buying online =D.
