"SNES Superior Hardware"? Really? Debateable. While the SNES can show more colors on screen and has more sound channels, Mega Drive sports a Motorola 68000 chip, same as Amiga and Neo Geo. The faster clock allows for fater processing then SNES, which allows more sprites on screen, more animations and smoother graphics. That's why shmups are generally better on MD and most platform games are more fluid on MD. Also, most cross-platform platformers (no pun intended) run better on MD, even if... 1/2

About the music, SNES indeed has more range due to having more sound channels, but MD has a characteristic sound that puts emphasis on lower tones, with groovy bass sound that's unmatched on SNES.

I'd say both consoles have their strenght and their lows.

Nowadays there isn't much of a challenge in games. Maybe Mortal Kombat since Shao Kahn is still a cheap boss as always but I still think the old stuff is better and a lot more fun. Don't forget another konami great on the genesis (rocket knight adventures 1), the genesis had a great amount of classics for it, classic games nowdays are a dime a dozen, companies pander to the casual gamer, stupid respawn points, infinite continues, easier games etc, uncharted's the only real game I like this generation along with dead space and siren blood curse, everything else is just a shooter, where's the variety gone in gaming, sor shows what a real series is awesome.

I've done' barrel rolls, Immelman Turns, and glidescope navigation. I was just your average ship driving officer. You know, left full rudder, full spead ahead type of thing.

I was in the Navy Officer Candidate program at the time and I went to the Base Exchange(store) just to hear this STATE OF THE ART soundtrack.
