  • What a weird thing to do... have they never heard of a nest before? Get the bird a box, fill it with happy birdy fillings, and he'll sleep like a baby. No need for odd perch attachments he might never use, since Greys are so finicky.

And the "he hasn't slept in 18 months" thing is kind of silly.

  • God heal that bird.

  • 0:53 A nonverbal message to his attacker. There will be blood!

  • @VladimirVLD MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • So why can't humans stay awake for 18 months? (asked the college student)

  • Great story

  • Same thing happened to my parakeet. Some thing knocked his cage over at night, and he lost a nail. He's alive, and the vet fixed him up, but the ordeal was very traumatizing for him.

  • They make it seem like they solved the problem, but knowing african greys he's never going accept that thing. poor guy

  • poor bird

  • 18 fking months?!?

  • i want to know the result

  • .....did he end up sleeping?

  • Hats off to the people trying to help the poor parrot. Wish there was a prosthetic leg they could come up with instead of a perch attatchment. He doesn't need two legs to sleep. He could sleep on a towel in the bottom of the cage. My bird frequently roosts one leg supporting and the other in the feathers of his belly.

  • it has the same cage my rabbit does

  • why is it so big?....thats what he said

  • that strang that this bird can't sleep because it has one leg get when my bird sleeps it always stands on one leg

  • @leztiger mine too, but i think the foot keeps their balance, w/o it it must be hard. I always fely bad that they're always standing even on two feet, because they cant fly to gt off the feet once in a while, but at least they can switch feet. this poor bird has all its weight on one foot all day and night and cant get a break. I want to know happened today?

  • y didnt you show him sleeping? isnt that the point of this video

  • um why is it in a guinea pig/hamster cage??

  • mayb the owner thought that he can't fly anyway so they put him a guinea pig/ hamster cage

  • hmmm maybe

  • Starvation is not aneorexia....look it up, dumbass

  • The parrot can take it out...

  • Бедный птиц

  • i clicked on this thinking i would see a pirate-parrot...

  • lol

  • it lives in a guinea pig cage.

  • @flybybutterflies Hes probably in a small cage so he can get to his food/water and get around easier. The bigger the cage the harder iit would be to get to everything.

  • 18 months... that's a lot. @____@ how did it survive?

  • i was thinking the same exact thing!! lol

  • Great job guys ! Way to go !

  • 18 months! He must've got some sleep, cos I don't think he'd be alive otherwise. I know a human will die if he doesn't get at least some sleep. I know I couldn't survive without 6-8 hours a night.

  • @robertghouston yeah, i agree. they probably mean he hasnt had a "good" night sleep in 18 months since it happened, because he probably wakes up often throughout the night trying to get comfortable.

  • The poor parrot. At least now he will be able to sleep comfortably :)
