  • Dysplasia caused by HPV(high and low risk) does not always turn into cervical cancer, sometimes a woman's immune system takes care of the virus and abnormal cells. Some abnormal cells are a bacteria vaginosis, trama to the cervix from intercourse, and cervicitis, none requiring precancerous cell treatment. The LEEP procedure is a severe treatment that can cause vulvodynia, vestibulities and chronic pain to women who orgasm with stimulation to the cervix. Know your options.

  • Acetic acid is applied to the cervical tissue during a colposcopy. Any areas that are "abnormal", meaning that they are dysplastic will turn white. A "low grade" aceto white area probably means that some of the cervical tissue reacted to the acetic acid, but not robustly.

  • hello what does a low grade aceto white area mean, after having a colposcopy??

  • cervical-cancer-symptoms.info

Thank you, it will help me on my blog

  • thank you so much for this information....it will help me on my blog cervical-cancer-symptoms.info

  • thanks for posting these really helpful and informative stuff.. keep up the good work..

  • PLEASE google 'unnecessary paps blogcritics' and read, read, READ

Please do your research and stop unnecessary testing

PAP Smears are VERY UNRELIABLE and cause many many many false results!!!

So many women have allowed their cervix to be mutilated without really understanding the risks ... and that Cervical Cancer is RARE!!!

  • @abbbbbcd12 You are absolutely correct. Often times patients undergo unnecessary testing. Since cervical cancer is highly associated with HPV, screening in virgins, for example, is probably unnecessary. Like all medical testing no result is every 100% accurate. However, in the hands of an experienced OB/GYN or family practice physician the results can be extremely useful and can guide future testing/treatment.

  • thankyou so much for this information....I had a colposcopy yesterday, and they took away the abnormal cells...which had come up as CIN3....i have to wait for the results (10 days) to see if I need further treatment.....Thanks

  • found this very informative, but would like to see how they do the cone biopsy and what the cervix will look like after.. i am scheduled for cone biopsy 17th may
