lionsback is not the most difficult challenge in Moab but it is one of the most unnerving for a driver especially if you drive a full size with limited visability.

It is too bad this hill is no longer open. For anyone wondering, the challenge on ths rock was psychological for most drivers. The rock delivers excellent traction, so as long as you have the gears to keep going (stock low range is enough) and 4WD, you could climb this. The question was, would the proximity of the edges get to the driver.

Again, ANY vehicle with 4WD. Hopefully D2theJ was just trying to start crap or being silly.

It's a shame they shut down the lions back and the dump bump in 2007 so they could build condos. I've only been up it twice once in 2000 in a rental jeep and once in 2002 in my Zuk wanted to build up my Zuk and get video of the dump bump they also closed the trail to Gemini bridges the final 300 yards is now a walking trail only. Because of uneducated tourists who go off trail and destroy the cryptogammic soil and vegetation.
