Dr. Cox never said anything about Nathan's building blocks as a clue he might be autisitic, so Cox's friend definately noticed the signs before this scene ever happened. I like it when writers throw in realistic dialouge like someone trying to blame someone else for a personal problem. It makes a show better to watch.
This mean a lot to Cox's actor because his REAL son has Down Syndrome. Also, as someone who has Asperger's Syndrome, which is related to autism disorder, this was a very sweet episode.

this is such a great and sad scene. both actors did so well but michael boatmans face at the end was heart wrenching
