seen him around my city throughout the years. watched fargo as a kid. years later on, he was shaving naked in the gym's bathroom and it was very horrific.
Don Fargo was one of the greatest tag team generals in wrestling history. I worked in the pro wrestling business for many years. Fargo, when he was in The Chain Gang in 1969 in the AWA & WWA, he was my inspiration to train to be a wrestler. The Chain Gang were without question the greatest gimmick of all time. Now I'm friends with Fargo and he still loves to get wild and party at the age of 80. A true wrestling legend and a very important part of pro wrestling history.
Funny, I worked with a guy in the mid 1980's named "David Taylor" that claimed to be Don Fargo. He was a supervisor in a meat packing plant in Monterey TN. He had photos of himself with belts, etc. Everyone knew him as "Don Fargo". He would strut and looked like a wrestler . Is this the same guy? This was around the same time as this video was taken but the man I knew was older.
I read on the net that Fargo had some insurance problems from attempting to fake his death.
@zedrein18 : I wrestled in shows he ran quite a bit in the late 90's. He paid well for these little bar shows. He hangs around with bikers a whole lot and is a legit tough dude. I never heard that story but I wouldn't doubt anything when it comes to the "Wild Man"...
When he and Kenny Mack did the Chain Gang gimmick, the athletic commission made them go back and take a shower because they smelled so bad. Seriously.
Anybody else notice that Fargo has a swastika tattoo. How does Verne let a guy with that tattoo on his national tv show?

I read Don Fargo nailed his testicles to a piece of wood, just to entertain fellow wrestlers.

Fargo's real name is Don Kalt. Don is 80 now and I don't think he ever worked in a a meat packing plant. He has lived in Florida for years.

Don also got himself beaten very badly by the Hell's Angels for saying he was a part of their gang.

@zedrein18 that would have been fun to stand back and watch him take that beating. lol

That was all a gimmick devised originally by Fargo and Chicago promoter Bob Luce.

That's what I thought, but the Indiana athletic commissioner told me differently. So did Cowboy Bob Kelly when Fargo worked down there.

Don Fargo is the most boring wrestler ever

Nothing like an exciting 3 1/2 minute headlock to get the crowd going.
