this guy can not run for his life. His legs have to go a lot higher then that. I cant belive there is a video about a guy that cant run. Its that sad. Get a coach or something to help u.
Landing on the ball of your foot is very difficult in cushioned trainers. If you run on the track with racing shoes it comes natural because there is no cushioning under the heel. Trying to force a midfoot strike in cushioned trainers is pointless and a waste of time. If you want to run with a midfoot strike, buy a pair of racing shoes.
I'm a long distance runner so I'm less familiar with sprinting . . . but as far as I know you'll injure yourself pretty quickly running toe to heel regardless of the distance. I can't imagine critiquing anyones running form without being able to see you head to toe (not shown in this video).
Slow speed runnining is not trying to take off from the ground! Really bad! also when you speed up and try to do the Toe-first, NO! Professionals able to do that but on the video, you forcing it and pushing off too high! Good technique is about saving energy not wasting! Sorry!
Some people don't realize how difficult it can be to learn to run ball-heel-ball if you've been running heel-toe all your life. Have you looked into pose running?
this video and this discussion are pointless, it is impossible to run with a good form on a treadmill

Wow, both methods are very poor here. Heel striking is bad, period.
The toe running is bad. You're locking out your knees and there is no lift on the back side - you don't pick up your feet.
I wouldn't run either with either of these forms. You are going to hurt yourself.

your legs look like a pair of scissors opening and closing each stride. theres no hamstring action, which is critical

i read somewhere that the landing should be underneath your ass, not in front, also foot should be point forward not down

This is not the way to implement forefoot running. While heel striking isn't extremely efficient, this example is much less so.

i agree this doesn't look efficient, looks unnaturally forced
