Weston-Super-Mare Pier, burning down!

they had just build a mini go carting track and it was a huge failure then it mysteriously went up in flames when one of the owners was in spain and the other owner in weston. my old man is a fireman and he said it looks a bit suspect

Nah I think it was arsonists... because I got this paper they was selling a few months after the burning... thats when people were aloud back on... and it said arsonists... :( But it could be a chip stall... However they are going to build a new one... :)

I feel sad about the pier, we took our 4 year old daughter there last year and she loved it, at the time I was pregnant and hoped I would take my son there! I always used to go there as a child. Are they going to rebuild???

I have not been to W-S-M for some time, but i used to go to the pier with my grandparents who are no longer with us and it brought back great memories...it's a very sad day.

tragic, I live in weston and we were there the day before the fire,we even had picnic under pier.So sad for everyone,community and people on holiday.Such an iconic feature of the area.Lets hope it can be rebuilt so 1000's can once again enjoy its fun and splendour
