guys i play right tackle and im a freshmen on varsity and i can teach all of you guys how to cut block, zone step, pull, and get all the pancakes u can get
Omg i play offensive line he is teaching dis way 2 complex and its bull cuz da guys rnt even moving if u really wanna learn den jst come to east texas and i promise ull learn how to zone block and bucket step
Mad props to all us O-Linemen, I'm really glad to see that the general public is slowly learning to appreciate us more and more. Especially us left tackles but slowly and surely the rest of the trench warriors are being recognized as the crucial elements they are . . . for a long time most people had no idea how tough it is to play OL and/or just didn't respect us the same as other football players.
He didn't even teach it right. After your initial bucket step, the same leg that's moving backwards, is the first leg that goes forward moving into the defenders crotch area...Come on dude.
That bucket step is KEY to getting in the proper position to get any type of zone blocking, If you just fire off towards the defender he will be able to use his hands and leverage playside to shed the block and penetrate. The bucket step puts you square with the defender so the offensivce player can have at least equal leverage to the defensive player.

I'm pretty sure a D-Lineman will get past you if it takes you 3 steps to get to him...
