Xbox 360 Error code E68 Fix ????

Anybody else watched countless videos on how to fix this and it still wont work? Foil, tapping it on hard surfaces, letting it sit for a while and even the freezer method doesn't work. The only thing I haven't done is thrown it out the window...

You do know that they make "jumpers" that do the exact same thing u did but they stay on there forever. I have about 50 of em in my dresser lol.

That was a great video - just what I needed to fix my sons HD. For those who have posted this fix doesn't work - it might not for you. E 68 is a general error letting you know the problem is with the HD not the xbox. Because of that there is a long list of things that could be wrong with your HD and the xbox isn't going to tell you what it is. Thanks again for posting this vid :)

@akath I think I found the reason for e 68s the hard drive :D just take it out reboot it, then put in the hard drive and reboot it again :D totally worked for me too

With my 360, the hard drive simply wasn't seated on the connection fully. I took it off, booted it w/o the hard drive, then reattached it and rebooted it and the E68 error disappeared. Hopefully that was the only problem, and hopefully that is the case for most of you guys as well.

If you have a bad HDD, take it out and plug it into your computer. Download MHDD, and boot into it, select your drive and erase delays and then rebuild it.

Works for pretty much all hard drive problems :D

this fix works great but all it does is makes the 360 read the 360 partition only not the one with the original xbox emulator so you can still play xbox 360 games just not original xbox games. but great fix

I took a 60gb apart after my cousins got the E68 error and found what appears to be a little air filter type thing that came loose and was pinned under the arm. Once I removed it and returned it to it's proper location the E68 was gone.

They're not sectors they are partitions and if you plug your 360's HDD up via SATA to your PC you can still save it's image and load that image into another HDD. Thanks for trying to sound smart but really you sounded like a dumbass! Have you ever explored a HDD on a PC?? Didn't think so!
