  • sounded it like this record came out of a radio station and got heavy airplay the way the cue burn sounds.one of many great songs by t.j.thanks for this one.

  • Great song! When I first heard this song many years ago, me and my folks thought he was black. We was quite surprised when we saw him perform this on TV...

  • Great song by Tom Jones! By the way, have you uploaded the the radio airplay version of 'What's New Pussycat' by Tom Jones? If not, can you do so if and when you get a chance...I haven't found the radio airplay version of 'What's New Pussycat' anywhere on YouTube!!!

  • I liked your video, it's simply amazing !!!!

  • I HAVE THIS ONE, BUT IN THE PERUVIAN EDITION, I HAVE "I WHO HAVE NOTHING" TOO...SOUNDS OK!

  • This is definitely one of my faves by TJ. I love his music! Great to see the orig. sleeve too. Except for a lil hiss at the beginning it plays really well!

  • Holy cueburn!!!! Nice to hear this mono mix for a change.

  • I've got the same kind of copy 'WABCRADIO77' has - pressing by and label copy typesetting from Columbia's Pitman, NJ plant, and lacquer mastering by Dominick Romeo at Mediasound in New York. (The high end, I.M.H.O., seems a bit dull here compared with the sides he cut of Jones' at Bell Sound; it's not in how the audio was set here.)

I have noticed that some have confused this Anka composition with another song of the same name as written by ex-Lovin' Spoonful lead singer John Sebastian.

  • One of Tom's biggest & best hits, written by former teen idol Paul Anka. Unfortunately virtually all of the US London label (& its subsidiaries) product on 45 were released on styrene material. Stereo singles - introduced in the late 60's - were becoming commonplace in the 70's. And the promo discs often had the plug side on both sides - one in mono for AM radio, the other in stereo for FM use.

  • I have that 45.

  • I finally found a mono 45 of this one. Styrene of course. This song sounds definitely better in the hot mono mix.

  • HI spencer sounds like has been played a lot lovely bit of cue burn at the begining thank you for sharing all these classics
